I have just bought an ipad mini 16GB - wifi, the seller told that it is a brand-new. But after I re-check Serial number, it shows that this serial had been actived
But I do not is was wrong or right. Would you be able to re-check it for me ? Thank you so much. My serial : F9****196

early this Week i was on eBay.com & I Bought an Apple iPad Mini 16GB WiFi Only Tablet & it's Brand New they never used it, very tiny only 1 time it was used they said to me so i bought it for $240 so i have it & everything, i have only 1 problem it does not want to Charge with other Apple Cables, only this piticular 1, Why is that???

buying such a thing from ebay isn't the best idea, but you got it, so I have a question for you:
Do you know if the seller reset the iPad? Which is what they would need to do before selling so it won't be associated with their Apple ID and you can associate it with yours.

I just bought an new ipad mini with wifi and cellular. Is there any way to send text messages to people and contacts that do not have iphones such as friends with blackberrys or a samsung galaxy smartphone from this ipad. Everytime I try to send a message to a person that does not have an Apple product ( Iphone or Ipad ) it comes up saying contact is not registered for iMessage and wont send it. I can only send them a message from my iPhone 4 instead. Do I have to install a new App from the App store to send these non iMessage cell users a message?

Unable to connect iPad Mini to Wifi as of this morning
My ipad mini stopped connecting to Wi-fi just this morning. My regular iPad 3 and iPhone 5 and other devices are all able to connect. I downloaded the latest software update (6.0.2) and I am still unable to connect the ipad mini to wifi. It has been reset, restored, etc etc etc and still is not working. I've tried everything I could think of and find for the past few hours. The 6.0.2 update was supposed to fix it as per the description, but it did not. Note that everything was working fine until this morning and nothing changed - no app downloads, nothing with the wifi, etc.
My iPad Mini still will not connect to Wi-fi. Any suggestions?Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Can I view, edit and save microsoft documents such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint using iWork applications such as Pages, Keynote and Numbers on my iPad Mini (16GB Wi-Fi)? If Yes, then can I directly load these files to my iPad mini using iTunes? Also, once I finish working on these documents, can I download these back to my Computer.

The wifi connection on my new iPad mini (32GB wifi only) is so slow that I am submitting this from my iPod touch (4th gen). I actually started to access support on the iPad but it was just taking too long. Really this is not good enough for what should be out-of-the-box press-and-play technology. I have tried switching wifi off and back on - sometimes it helps. I have removed the iPad from its case - no discernible difference. I have been running both devices side by side and the Touch wins hands down every time. I'm not too upset about the yellowing around the edge of the iPad mini screen, but I really want the wifi to work at least as well as the iPod.
The iPad mini was purchased in Hanoi, Viet Nam from an authorized reseller sourced through apple.com. Both devices are being used in Viet Nam. Wifi is generally excellent.

You can use an iPhone (if your carrier supports it) as a personal hotspot for your iPad and use the phone's cellular connection to go online with your iPad - your iPad will see the phone as a wifi network.
If you are asking if you can share an internet connection from a wifi-only iPad then you can't, only cellular models potentially allow you to share its connection with other devices/computers.
