Ipad mini 2 turns on automatically when connected for charging while i have turned it off in the first place
guys!! i just figured that my ipad mini2 automatically turns on when i try to charge it in off state . actually when plug to charge when the ipad is on fine it charges but when you switch it off i wont charge if you just plug the cable in when it is off it boots with the apple logo and turns on automatically !! Guys pls tell me if this is normal or i have to replace my ipad mini 2 . still have 1 year warranty guys !!!!!!!!!!!(while turned off and charging the battery indicator logo does not show up )
It is normal. But there is no need to be powering off your iPad. Just put it to sleep.

I took the iPod to the local Apple shop. The guy put the iPod onto a docking station and checked it - answer "connections are OK". I have an iPhone and recently bought an iPod 4 touch what l am using the same apple ID for. The iPod won't let me download songs from iTunes it is asking me security questions which I don't think I have put answers to in the first place, because of this it won't let me buy any songs on iTunes
It's probably asking you to verify the security code found on the back of your credit card.

What is the data usage for ipad mini on stand by when connected to WIFI?
We connected 34 ipad mini's for yacht WIFI network that has internet access. Now data usage is 1GB/h higher for the all connections than before.
None of the ipad's are used for internet. My question is what is the data usage when ipad is is standby usage and how I can stop is downloading/uploading.
This slows down internet for rest of the users in same network.

Zen Touch turning on automatically when connecting to comput
Hi,
I know that you can charge the Zen Touch via either the power pack or the usb connection.
However, whenever I connect the player to a USB port, it turns itself on. If its turned off, when I connect it should stay turned off but begin to charge the battery, but mine is turning itself on. Does anyone know why?
I can get it to charge via usb but i must connect it, turn it back off and leave it connected, it then begins to charge.
Is there a problem with my Zen and should I take it back and get it fixed/replaced or have I just changed a setting and not noticed?
Please help me!
M_Taylor40It never used to happen before though, and has only just started a few days ago.
It doesn't matter if its been off for the 24hour time period (Think its 24hours) where it would be completely turned off, and it doesn't matter if its the 'soft-off' where the player remembers what it was last doing and turns on almost instantly.
I just thought there might have been a problem as it never used to do it. But I've just checked the manual and it says that it might happen (Side-note to the charging via USB in the getting started section).
Thanks for the reply though and I'll jsut have to remember to turn it back off when I want it to charge.

Tried to reset but no use..not responding..i had a spare iphone 3gs ..which i started to use in mean time now its showing same symptons ..Anybody can help and throw some light..my phones have expired warranty
Gdgmacguy : my friend , i tried all basics soft reset, hard reset on my iphone 4s..the phone is not booting at all its stuck red battery screen..even itunes is not recognising the device...
My other concern is, i started to use my spare iphone 3gs after my 4s gt dead..but 3gs is also showing same symptoms..randomn switch off and will boot only once conected to charger with plenty of charge..i tried to restore, reset on this device..im afraid it might crash as welll...so need a solution.. -
When my phone is locked it won't react to the home or on/off button. It's not doing it all the time but it happened 3 times in 2 days, what is happening?

Sleep/Wake button won't lock or unlock iPhone
To lock the phone, press the Sleep/Wake button. Note: By default, if you don't touch the screen for a minute, iPhone locks automatically.
To unlock iPhone, press the Home button or the Sleep/Wake button, then slide the slider.
If either of the above steps don't work, try turning iPhone off and then on again.
If the iPhone will not power off, reset it.
Try to lock or unlock the phone.

I need to find out if SMS Messaging can turn on automatically when my Ipad receives an Update or does a Password have to be entered to do this? IE, when my IPAD SMS is turned on then my Iphone messages can be accessed.
Maybe I used the wrong term for it. Basically, someone recently had my Ipad and somehow turned on my messaging so they could read all of the messages on my Iphone. I would think this the password was used to do this however they advised that the Ipad had an update which then activated the messaging. Can this happen?

What if you have a situation where Restore did not work. I do. The ipad mini says it is disabled, connect to itunes. When connected, it says that it is locked! I have tried using Recovery/Restore but after it completed, the ipad mini still malfunctions. It does not allow you to start the device. The slide image keeps dancing around the screen. The opening page keeps changing in size and the keyboard types on its own! What can be done to fix this????????
Maybe a reset would help, to be followed by trying the recovery again.
To reset, hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then do the recovery.
If this doesn't solve it, I recommend visiting an Authorized Apple Service Center. -

I'm not an apple expert or anything, but after hearing this from a coworker (and doing a quick google search) many of the generic chargers do not work in the 5s (especially after the most recent update.) I'm thinking this may be the problem in your case...the charger is not working so the phone just needs a good charge from either an apple certified charger or a generic that will actually work with the phone. I've read some people are able to pull the cable out, turn it around and then plug it back in facing the opposite direction to get it to work. Many have reported, however, that even when this remedies the cable issue, its still won't charge the phone while it is completely dead (which is likely the case since it won't power on at all.) So if you haven't fixed your problem by now, go buy a new charger and see what happens. You might be able to go into and apple store and borrow a charger there for a few minutes to see if this actually IS the problem. That way you don't waste your money before buying.

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account,,,, Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )

iPad Mini 2 goes ballistic when being charged -- in other words, it hangs abruptly ; does not type properly. Moreover, in some instances open apps peculiarly force quit without the screen being touched whatsoever.

If the battery doesn’t charge
If the battery doesn’t charge, unplug your device and try these steps:
Look at the connector at the bottom of your device and make sure it’s free of debris.
If you're using a USB power adapter, make sure it's plugged in all the way and the power outlet is working. If you're connecting to a computer, make sure it's on and can charge your device. To charge an iPad, you might need to use a USB power adapter and plug into a power outlet.
Try a different USB cable, USB power adapter, or USB port.
If everything seems to be working, reconnect your device and wait for 30 minutes.
If your device still doesn’t charge, try to restart it while it's connected to power. If you can't restart, reset your device.

As any developer I got the iOS 7 beta on my iPad mini , before few days when I used my iPad forgot my passwaor, and I can't unlock it using the iPad , When I plug it on my window so I can restore it using iTunes , I got to errors , once "Unkown error 3004" and once "It's not eligble".

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
