IPad stopped working.

After a year of usage, our iPad suddenly stopped working (while reading some mail).
Restore with iTunes didn't help.
When I press home button, I see black screen with some screen error - more in images:

I think your iPad has an internal problem, possibly a loose connection. I suggest you show it to an Apple Store Genius and have them run diagnostics. If it is only a little over one year old, they may repair it or exchange it under warranty.
Otherwise you will need to find an iPad repair center. If you search, you may find one in your town.

Assuming that the battery isn't empty (and it can take up to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a soft-reset to see if that gets it to boot up ? I sent and email and my ipad stop working. I pluged it up becuase i thought it was out of power but I can't get it back on. I though the screen was broken but when I plugged it into the laptop it never register. I can't figure it out someone help

Once the Device is in Recovery Mode... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... after the successful Recovery... Restore from the most recent Backup...

After you get your problems straightened out, recommend that you update to OS 10.6.8, check software update for all the other updates that goes along w/it.

IPad stopped working, only recognized by iTunes in DFU Mode

A week ago, I was watching Netflix on my iPad. The screen went blue and then the device completely stopped working.
All I can do is put the device in DFU Mode and attempt to restore. I get the same result every time
"The iPad could not be restored. an unknown error occurred (4005)."
I brought it into the Apple store, where they could not provide any information as to why the device stopped working.
I am just curious at this point and trying to figure out what could have caused this. I purchased it 2 years ago, used it on the train commuting to and from the city and for the last year it was used lightly at home for browsing the internet and watching movies.

This is the only support document with information on error 4005. It seems to be a disconnect error, and can happen for any reason. The diagnostics they use at Apple do not always provide the information about why, just that there is a hardware error. Any number of things can go wrong with electronics. I'm sorry I could not be any more specific, but then, neither could Apple.

You have already seen this for Error 9
This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.
For a new machine Error 11 !
Check Hosts file if it is diverting iTunes away from Apple servers.

POP mail on iPad Stopped Working

I have been using POP mail on my iPad2 for over a year using the server "mail.btinternet.com" for receiving and sending, but in the last couple of weeks it has stopped working on the iPad although I can still use BT mail on my PC.
I didn't change any of my iPad settings. So what has changed? Any help appreciated.

Seriously? BT are "divorcing" Yahoo and are switching to a company called Critical Path as their email provider (no, I've never head of them either). This has received so much publicity I'm surprised you could have missed it. I think existing customers are being migrated over; I'm sure you will find full details elsewhere on this forum.
More constructively, I think if you look carefully under the Advanced section of your iPad email settings you will find that you can change the incoming server port number.

Thanks Curt. I just figured it out. I right clicked on Filmstrip which gave me an option of Reset in the drop down menu. I clicked on Reset and got my Filmstrip view back.

The "trick" is a reset.
