Ok so I have an Iphone 3g , It wont connect to wi-fi anywhere in my house unless im sitting right next to it. My facebook runs so slow it its not funny , and Take forever to load Anything.
I even pay for my internet and it still doesnt help! I have tried everything , i've looked it up , Restored it many times , nothing works, when i try to connect to wi fi it say Blank is not avalible when im sitting in my room but it has 4 bars so if i sit next to it is that only way it works . Please help

Is your iPhone connected to your computer using the lightning cable or are you doing WiFi sync?
Sometimes the iPhone doesn't show up in the side bar if you're using WiFi syncing, if its not working, then be connected to your WiFi on your phone and on your computer (Same network) let me know how it's going, if it doesn't work still. Turn your phone off and on again and put in your pass code then try to sync it (keep your phone unlocked and not in sleep mode) tel me if it appears in the side bar.

Try the steps below,
1. Quit iTunes.
2. Go to Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right Click "Command Prompt" -> "Run as Administrator"
3. Once in the command prompt, type "netsh winsock reset" and hit ENTER.
4. Reboot your machine.
5. Restart iTunes.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

My iphone 4S is VERY slow to connect to wifi.

So my iPhone 4S is not connecting automatically to the same home wifi that I have had for months. It is also not recognizing all of the available networks. I I open the wifi settings, it will eventually connect but once it locks, it does not automatically rejoin the network. Any thoughts?

Slow net connection after Yosemite - someone please help novice

so i have read quite a lot on here which has all been very interesting so i hope you will bare with someone who really does not know a lot about computers.
Since the dreaded Yosemite upgrade my mac has ground to more or less a total halt trying to open the internet in any number of browsers (safari and firefox to name but two).
I have been able to run a speed test and says my wifi has my 60+gb download speed and about 6 upload so no issue there.
I am confused to say the least what has gone wrong as my phone and iPad seem to work ok. Can anyone tell me in simple terms if there are any solutions what the problem is as i am really crippled and my business is suffering.
PS Apple i am really not impressed by this totally botched upgrade and when going into a store to see one of the technicians they will only see you if you pay.. this is your fault i might remind you.

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.

Very Slow Browing after Re-Install. Please Help!

I just re-installed os x because I wanted to clear up some space on the HD. After I re-installed downloads and browsing slowed down. Some downloads only go up to 6 kb/s and web pages take a long time to load. What can I do to fix this problem?

I had the same problem once. It was cured after I deleted the airport profile in the network system preference. I don't have the macbook right now and I don't have airport on this desktop so I can't see what everything is called. I do know I opened network preferences, then to airport, and delete something there, restarted and then reconfigured for auto connect to my wirless network. It worked. sorry I can't give the correct technical terms...

Right now you don't need that as your having a drive issue.
Just copy your user data folders to a external drive that has enough room to hold them.
as you can see I have two user accounts
If your on 10.7 you may have to use the Finder > Go > Computer and then click on your boot drive on the left, then click on Users folder to open it like so to copy those user account folders.
Once those folders are copied to a external drive and the drive is unmounted and removed, you can breath easier.

FCP, and all software on OSX, has a few different "preference" files (the extension is .plist), which store all your user settings. Each time you resize a window, change a setting, anything, this file is re-written. Kinda easy to see how they would become corrupt every now and then.
-Close FCP
-Navigate to User>Library>Preferences and delete com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist
-Navigate to User>Library>Preferences>Final Cut Pro User Data and delete Final Cut Pro 5.0 Prefs
-Empty your trash
Relaunch FCP and see if that worked.
Download FCP Rescue to make this process easier in the future. When you have FCP running really smooth, open FCP Rescue and create a backup of your preference files. If it starts acting wanky, just run FCP Rescue and Restore your backup preferences. Works really slick, and it's free.
