Iphone 3gs does not sync calendars to outlook. No option in settings

I cannot sync the calendar items I enter from my iphone to my pc outlook 2007.
Works fine the opposite way (outlook to iphone). Someone answered that the problem is in settings but my iphone does not have the outlook sync option in settings.

I'll assume you have calendar sync set correctly when you connect the phone to iTunes and click on the Info tab, but please check that.
Next go to Options in Outlook, the Other tab then click *Advanced Options*. Click *Com Addins* and make sure the iTunes addin is checked.
Now in Outlook go to Help/About and click *disabled items*, and make sure the iTunes addin is not listed.
If all of this is OK, or it still doesn't work after setting these correctly, go to iTunes Edit/Preferences Devices tab and click *Reset Sync History*.

I am simply lookig for some help not an argument. I am not an RF specialist however have setup a few wireless networks in my tenure at Wynn Resorts. I fully agree that wireless networking is an art and a science however the powers that be in Network Land have toughted wireless networking is the easiest and quickest way to get two computers to talk with one another. As I previously said I have already turned one (1) MBP in for this problem and Apple decided to replace it because they could not fix the problem with my particular MBP. This MBP was running Leopard when the problems started
I am having a hard time believeing that there are several other devicces in my home that depend on a wireless network to operate and my MBP is the only one having an issue. I took this a step further and decided to see what would happen if I tried to connect wirelessly via Fusion. In Windows 7 I am able to print and scan to my hearts content without any issues. I am able to browse the internet as much as I want. I close Fusion and try to connect to my printer via wireless and nothing.
In order to get Apple to help do I need to get a Network Analyzer and capture packets when I have these problems? Out of the 1000 + posts is there a consolidation of which answer is the best? BTW I am accessing the internet via a wireless connection using Fusion and Windows 7.
In response to Linc's comments, I will look at the router specifications however I did not qualify that these devices are not using the wireless connection at the same time. Right now I would guess there are maybe two (2) or three (3) at the most that are actively transmitting / receiving information. -- Thanks

Calendar entry on iPhone 3GS does not sync to desktop

For some reason, when I enter anything into my iPhone version of the calendar, it does not appear on the desktop. I have mobileMe, and it works fine syncing in reverse, but for some reason I can't make the iPhone changes appear on the desktop. Any ideas?

I don't use the iTunes sync (travel too much, and I sync between 2 desktops, 2 laptops, iPad an iPhone (what a nerd I am!), so I use MobileMe to sync.
I have many different calendars -- usually when I put a new entry in my iPhone, I give it the correct calendar setting (for example "home" or "teaching"). Perhaps only the default calendar is the one that syncs (which would not make sense, but I'll try it)!

I upgraded my Iphone 3GS to IOS 5. This introduces Icloud. Since doing so, I have not been able to sync my music. I get the error message "unable to sync - not enough free space (additional 8.4 GB required). This is the same size as the music I want to load to my phone, which was fine before the upgrade. No, I never really found an easy solution. I believe it is an issue with some corruption in the iTunes database on the specific device. In my case, both my iPad and iPhone now show duplicate stream songs if viewed through iTunes on my Mac, but they show different songs. A couple years ago I had a similar issue on my iPhone, and Apple support suggested I back up the phone, completely reset it, and then restore it from the backup. It did work, so I imagine it would probably work for my current issues with the iPhone and iPad. But resetting and restoring an iPad or iPhone always makes me a little nervous that something will get lost. When I did reset/restore the iPhone, I do have to say, the restore process was 100% perfect and I did not lose any data at all even though Apple support said I might. If you try to go that route, I would suggest backing the device up both to a computer through iTunes, and to the iCloud so that you have a double backup.
None of this really resolves the issue with how the iTunes databases are becoming corrupted on the apple devices though, so it is very likely to happen again until they fix it. I have been unable to determine if there were any specific actions or conditions which caused the corruption to happen in the first place.
Might be worth another call to Apple support, or dropping in the local Apple store if you have one near by.

My z10 does not sync to my outlook

For many years I have supported Blackberry but I am at the end. This is the 3rd z10 I have had, the battery lasts 3 hours and it does not sync with my outlook. Where do you get Blackberry support ? No wonder why Blackberry is going to go away. What a shame. The management team should be embarrassed for the management of this company, poor shareholders.

First, to sync with Office Outlook, you will need to install the latest version of BlackBerry Link, then from there you can sync your contact and calendar
As for contacting BlackBerry support, you must first contact your carrier support and then ask them to escalate you to Blackberry support team, this is the only way to get support from BlackBerry

E7-00 does not sync calendar with MfE

After Symbian Anna upgrade my E7-00 does not sync calendar at all with MfE.
Where was a problem while upgrading to symbian anna: I first tried to do it over the air, but the phone hung up while downloading part 2/2, so I ended up to do this by OviSuite. After that I sometimes get a "Järjestelmävirhe" (System Error?) alert when powering on the machine (after giving pin code).
I've tried to delete and reinstall Symbian Anna few times and removed the MfE settings but no hope. It seems to me that somehow the MfE-client (comes with symbian anna or firmware?) is still version 1.00.00 and with my collegues phone it says the version is (should be?) 3.00.000.

Is this the problem? How can I upgrade only the MfE for E7-00. Ovi Store does not support MfE download for E7.

After much fiddling with my Calendar I have resolved the problem:
1. I exported all the calendars individually and saved them on your desktop
2. Using an iOS device delete all the calendars on your iCloud account (you should be able to use iCloud.com in the same way)
3. Now that your iCloud calendar is empty, import the calendars from your desktop one by one waiting for them to fully sync before doing the next one.
4. Done!
*I discoverd that one of my calendars was corrupted and would not install, perhaps this was the problem? However I believe that it was because my calendars had too much content (multiple repeating events and sporting event subscriptions). I got rid of the sports ones (huge) it was very slow to upload, and I decided to slim that calendar down as it's not very important.
I personally think it's a calendar event overload problem, too much content for iCloud to handle. It would make sence because I had no problems with any other part of iCloud (reminders/notes...) and my iPhone calendar was fine (because it does not upload any old events, ie dramatically less content) I hope this helps!

FIXED (for me at least): iPhone 3gs will not sync with Gateway NV79

I’ve spent months trying to fix this miserable problem with getting my iPhone 3gs to sync with my new Gateway NV79. Gateway will not help. Their technical support is genuinely worthless. Microsoft blames Apple and Apple blames Gateway.
My old iPod Nano syncs to my Gateway NV79 without a problem. I’ve tried all of the proposed fixes but other posters with no success.
But I do believe I’ve discovered a real fix (for me at least). Here’s my setup:
• Gateway NV79 running Windows 7 64 bit edition
• iTunes 10
• iPhone 3gs running OS 4.02
The USB ports needs tweaking to get the iPhone 3gs to sync to the Gateway NV79. Follow these steps without your iPhone 3gs connected to the Gateway NV79:
Step 1: Go to Control Panel
1. Open Control Panel
2. Click Hardware & Sound
3. Click Power Options
4. Make sure Balanced is selected and click Change Plan Settings
5. Click Change advanced power settings
6. Expand USB Settings
7. Expand USB selective suspend setting
8. Change On Battery setting to Disabled.
9. Change Plugged in setting to Disabled
10. Click OK
Step 2: Go to Windows Explorer
1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Right-Click Computer (not your computer name)
3. Click Properties
4. Click Device Manager
5. Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers
6. Right-click first Generic USB Hub
7. Click Properties
8. Click Power Management
9. Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
10. Click OK
11. Right-click second Generic USB Hub
12. Click Properties
13. Click Power Management
14. Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
15. Click OK
16. Restart your computer
After your computer restarts, login and connect your iPhone.
You must complete both steps. Step 1 is required for Step 2 to stick.
There are a few things that may happen. iTunes may start syncing immediately and fail with an error. Don’t worry. If the sync fails the first time, restart the computer with the iPhone still connected. Now, iTunes will either take you to setup screen to connect your iPhone or the sync may restart. In my case, the setup screen came up and I DID NOT CHOOSE TO RESTORE. Pick the first option to add your iPhone. The sync will restart and may or may not finish. Don’t worry, if the sync fails, restart your computer again with the iPhone still connected and this time the sync will work.
Here’s the problem: the iPhone 3gs will not sync with the power management enabled for the USB ports on the Gateway NV79.

Iphone 3gs does not turn on after ios 6 update

After the ios6 update, my iphone 3gs does not turn on. I see the apple logo, after a minute, it boots again and i see the logo again. This process seems to continue like a circle. After a search the net, i see that i am not the only one. A quick fix and suggestions please, as i need my phone of course.
Btw, Apple, i know that this is an old hardware and i will buy the new iphone 5 when it is available here in my country in December. But of course, you claşmed this update supports my 3gs, you should immediately find a fix

Well, i don't see an another solution possible; you should try again and again to restore. Btw, my phone seemed to operate strange (even the stock mail app began to crash) so i tried hard reset (home button + sleep/wake button until seeing the apple logo). After that i found my phone again in dfu mode this night so began restoring again now.
It seems that apple didn't tested ios6 enough with the 3GS. I have a 32 GB phone so this will be near 60 gb download from the icloud over my broadband connection.
