How can I listen to FM stations (FM stations set on TV's) on my iPhone 3GS during a workout?

FM is on the way out. Today it's AM and XM radio.

I too had exact issue what you were experienced, then I went to Apple autorised service center and submitted my earpods, their it worked with all versions of Apple iphones, but it didn't worked on my 3gs. The service technician suggested for OS upgrade.Then I came home and I took the backup and upgraded 5.1 to 6.1 as he suggested, also it didn't worked. I was totally frustated and suddenly I got an idea!. What a funny thing here is, a safety pin resolved my issue, I took out all dust which was there in the jack hole. Then I check my earpods, it was amazing you know..MY EAR PODS WORKED!.

My iPhone 3GS wont open Apps or e-mail and I cannot MMS pictures from my camera

My iPhone 3Gs has stopped opening my App Store application and iTunes application. When I open the camera and try to MMS a picture it returns to the home page. When I open my e-mail it will show me the inbox page but when I try to open a specific e-mail it takes me back to the home page. I have tried to uninstall applications and re-install them. I have also done a restore on my phone. Still have the same problems. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Was your restore from backup or as new? Restoring from backup can restore the same corrupt software over and over again. Restore as new.

iPhone 3Gs Is on iOS 6.1 and every time I try to install/sync apps onto my friends phone it wont sync or install the apps, but when I download them from the store using data or wifi it will download and install them.
Anyone know why this is happening like it is? I mean it is really getting me annoyed that her phone is the only one doing this.

Are you trying to install it from your computer with your Apple id or on her computer and apple id?

IPHONE 3GS - Nike Fit APP froze phone

I have an iphone 3gs. I opened the nike fit app and it froze the phone - i completed a factory reset and now it will not come off the black screen with the apple on. I have done everything - it seams to have just completely died?

Transfer purchases transfers purchases from the iphone to the computer, NOT the other way around.
You need to sync the app as you do everything else. Go to the apps tab and select it, then sync.

I have just bought a new laptop and downloaded itunes on to it, but because it is new none of the apps i have downloaded are on my laptop, if i connect and sync my iphone 3gs will the apps still be on my phone even tho they are not on my laptop

i use an app on my phone for my bus ticket to get to work and dont want to sync my phone in case i loose my ticket but i have new songs that i would like to put on my phone. does anyone know if i will loose all the apps on my phone if i sync it with my laptop when there are no apps on my laptop, will it just delete all my apps or transfer my apps from my phone to my laptop and still leave them on my phone?

ADDED INFORMATION to my question. What is happening is that when I look ot the apps update screen there are always nine apps and each is shown as updating. None of the nine ever updates, they simply stop in same status. When a new update comes along, it is shown correctly as needing updating and it will close normally after I update it, leaving the other nine still listed as updating. Any idea on how to take care of this problem? Thanks.

Latest iPhone 3GS Glitch: New Apps, Ghost Icon/Wrong

I've been having a few issues since the new 3+ OS launch. Here's the latest:
Now for some reason when I download new apps, the icon turns into a grayed out version of apps I used to have. ***?? Does this happen to you?

Here is what I've tried:
1. rebooting the phone
2. deleting app, redownloading and installing....works until I reboot the phone.
3. Reboot, remove app, reboot, redownload/install app (worked once)
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this without restoring the phone YET AGAIN...

I had this problem and today applied the new 3.1 update and my icons were fixed. Apparently this was a bug that got fixed in this latest software release.
By the way, part of the application changes include being able to rearrange the icons using iTunes instead of having to do it on the phone. It is much easier and works great.

Updated to ios5 on iphone 3gs but now apps have gone. Syncing it doesn't work!

Was asked when updating to authorise my computor to save some apps, which I did........now none are left!
Tried syncing the phone again as suggested by other people/ forums but this doesn't work.
Checked the tab titled 'apps' but there is nothing there at all.
Don't mind downloading again but not prepared to pay again seeing that I did all that I was propted for when updating and this simply hasn't worked.

Can't open Apps in iPhone 3Gs

This morning when switched on my iPhone 3Gs 32gigs, all apps can't be opened except those pre-installed apps like mail, safari, etc...
Tried restart my iPhone for several times, problem remains.
After a while, the Apps can be opened once again, and I have no idea what's going on. Anyone?

When you first connected your 3GS to your Mac, you should have been prompted to transfer the backup for your 3G, which is created and maintained by iTunes for each iPhone as the first step during the sync process, and includes the following data.

Once the keyboard is connected, it should work with any app that uses the standard keyboard interface, so it will work with iWork.

How to unlock an iphone 3gs when it's sim locked and the lock button doesn't work???

I bought this iphone 3gs off an app. I just want to use it as an ipod. it is sim locked (with two attempts left) and the lock button doesn't work at all. What can I do? I just want to use it as an ipod.
I have also tried everything. I took the sim card out and put it back in again. And I have also left it out. And I have tried connecting it to itunes but I need to unlock. (some of these were suggested by the seller)

My guess - and this is completely a guess - is that the SIM in that phone has a PIN that was added to it by the previous owner. Whomever you bought it from didn't bother to check for this (or didn't care) before they got it from the previous owner.
You need to get a new AT&T SIM for that phone - you could even borrow one from a friend if they have one that will fit the phone. You would only need the SIM to activate it.
There is no way to activate an iPhone without a SIM in it, even if you don't plan to use it as anything other than an iPod.

I have an iPhone 3G and an iPhone 3Gs and many apps as well as music. Can I share the apps on both iPhones? The Music? How does this work... I know iTunes will recognize both phones as different... will it allow me to load the same apps on both phones? Music?

Hi,
You can sync apps but you have to select apps for each device. When you plug you device in it will remember your apps that you selected for that device. I have an iPhone and an iTouch with a different app set synced to the same iTunes library. Just go through the list when the device is connected and choose the apps/ songs ect. then sync. When you connect the other device repeat the process. Make sure to not let iTunes automatically sync when connected. iTunes will remember the settings for each device. Works for me.
