okayyyy
so after my ipod wiping i connected it to my pc
and it was like
the ipod's in recovery mode you've got to reformat etc.
so i clicked the reformat button but my internet didn't work
so i switched pc's to my brother's (same op system)
but then the ipod wouldn't be recognized by his pc
(even though the connected, do not disconnect screen came up)
so i tried updated his itunes 7 to itunes 8,
but itunes 8 wouldn't open 'cause it says windows can't install it.
does that mean the pc's too old or something?
and what other options do i have to make the **** ipod work?
(and making internet work on my pc isn't an option)I HAVE THE ANSWER!
If you go into your device manager, is there a little red x or yellow exclamation point next to the necessary drivers?
Right click and select Update Driver Software.
Click Browse My Computer and enter in C:\Windows\System32
Windows will find the iPod and so will iTunes!

I have already replaced my iphone 5 battery a month ago under the Apple free battery replacement program. Butnow, it still have the same problem. The battery is not charging even it shows a charging icon. Instead of charging when it is plugged, the battery drained so fast and now the phone is battery drained. I caanot evendo a hard reset. I tried to charge it for almost the whole day now but it is still drained. I tried to use different cables and plugs but nothing works.Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Ho configurato poi nuovamente iPhone come nuovo dispositivo. Una volta resettato non ho installato nessuna apps, nessun contatto, niente di niente. Il telefono ha funzionato regolarmente ieri 12/09/2010 e questa mattina. Alle ore 15,30 di oggi mi sono accorto che era bloccato (icona collega a iTunes). Ho riavviato il telefono e dopo il riavvio è apparso il solito messaggio "iPhone attivo". Quindi come temevo NON abbiamo risolto.

Have you tried doing turning the battery level display off and then General -> "Reset all settings"? You won't loose any data and that should do the trick.

i contacted o2 and they said id have to pay to get it fixed after sending it away for ten days if their was a fault, when im still under warranty!! contacted apple who will get back to me!I am assuming you updated to version 5.1.1, not 5.0.1 since no legitimate version of 5.0.1 is available.

The iPhone 4S comes automatically loaded with iOS 5, and any updates after iOS 5.0 can be completed directly from on the phone in Settings > General > Software Update. If you are having trouble using iTunes to update software, I suggest you reset iTunes so that you can pair your phone to the computer again, because if you can't see the serial number and capacity, that generally means your phone isn't paired. For any problems this doesn't fix, please contact Apple directly through their automated help line, 1(800)MYAPPLE. -
After I update IOS6 for my iphone 3gs, while i turn on vibrate (Using side button) is not supporting. Automaticlaly turn on back to ringing mode. So please help me to resolve this issue.

i upgraded my iphone 3gs to os 5.1 and since then i have not been able to register it in order to use it, anytime i try to activate it a notification that "the activation server is temporarily unavailable".if i connect it to itunes too, the system tells me to insert SIM card meanwhile, i already have inserted a SIM.

I deleted EVERYTHING under
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes
or YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes
Some people have had success only deleting everything in the cookies folder
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\Cookies

activation server is not available on iphone 3GS i put it in DFU mode but still can not activate i went to apple store but they did not help?
There are four possible causes of the activation error:
The activation server is unavailable. Rare, but it happens. Usually fixed within minutes.
Your antivirus or firewall (or your router's firewall) is blocking access to the domain gs.apple.com on ports 80 and 443.
Your phone is jailbroken.
Your phone isn't jailbroken, but the computer you are connected to during the restore or update was used to hack or jailbreak some other iOS device, and its network database was corrupted in the process.
Perhaps this will provide you some clues as to how to proceed. If your iPhone has not been jailbroken, Apple has some troubleshooting suggestions here:

Have you tried a soft-reset to see if it that gets it to boot up ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds after which the Apple logo will hopefully appear and it will boot up.
If that doesn’t fix it then have you got a different cable, and possibly charger, that you could try ? -

If you have a corporate Exchange account set up on the phone, the administrators can requre encrypted backups. Try the password for your Exchange account.

worked until this am (though I think I had this once before, a couple years ago, too often follows itunes updates)

but, it is charging so... it is connected
