IPhone 4 blacks out, could not work with just pressing the home button and lock screen button, only worked when I plugged it in the charger
My iPhone 4 started to blackout out of nowhere and it wont work only until I plugged my phone into the charger. It has been going on for several times in a day, where it just randomly blacks out. Do anyone know what is the problem and how do I exactly fix this? thanks
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

hey my iphone was working perfectly and then i sent it to check up and it came back with the itunes icon and data cable on it. so i tried plugging it in the computer and a message on itunes came up saying theres a problem with your phone and it may be damaged and cannot be activated. HELP PLEASE!!

My play and skip button will not work on the control center and lock screen
For the first few days I had iOS 7, everything worked fine. Now the Control Center and lock screen will not play, pause, or skip through my music or iTunes Radio. It works fine within music but I would prefer not to have to unlock my phone every time I want to skip a song. Anyone having this issue/know of a way to fix it?
I didn't have that problem, but I had many others. I've always been a fan of Apple but I'm really disappointed with the latest updates. iOS 7 is full of bugs, the worst being in my music app. It crashes, both in my iPhone 5 and iPad 4, it keeps autosyncings songs from the cloud I don't want (and I can't get them erased), plays a song, but shows a different song, to name just a few... I hope they fix this asap, cause that's really annoying me.

what will i do with my ipad 2 ios 5.0.1 stuck on white apple logo and itunes not recognized it. i'll always try to press and hold both the home botton and sleep/wake button but nothings happen.
if that dose not work then you can always put it into DFU mode by connecting to your computer and holding down the home button and sleep/wake button for excatly 10 seconds and then relesing the sleep/wake button and keep holding down the homebutton till iTunes tells you it has detected an iPad in recovery mode then just do a restore

i have tried to install new update on iphone 5 and now it wont turn on when i plug it in the charger it just shows i need to connect to itunes.
Given the state your device is in you have already erased your old stuff. You have an image on the screen that says, "Connect to iTunes." That's what the image means. So you will need iTunes on your computer.

The movie is probably MPEG format.
QuickTime Pro and iMovie cannot transcode audio contained in MPEG movies.
Try to convert with SimpleMovieX or MPEG Streamclip instead.

Can you reset the phone by holding the on/off switch and home button down until your phone reboots and the Apple logo again displays?

iPad1 has just gone off. Battery was on 40%. No life when I plug it in to the mains nor when I attach to computer. Only had it since March 2011
Many thanks for this information; iPad is now back up and running. As I'm in the UK the iPad ,via the respective digests,is the only way I can access "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report". So truthiness still prevails.

I had to do a restore on the iPhone - thanks Verizon. Music had been backled up to iTunes via computer and cloud. But it's gone. The music exists on my iPads as well. So when I hook the iPad up to an authorized computer it says it's synched to another library. ??? How do I get it synched to the iPhone? I have ONE account...don't get it
Music is not included in the iPhone backup, because it is already on your computer, so why duplicate it?
Music can only be synced to one computer at a time, so if you change computers the contents of the iOS device will be replaced by what is on the latest computer.
If you have an iCloud backup and your music is saved to iCloud you can restore it by going to Settings/General/Reset - Erase all content and settings. When this completes it will ask if you want to restore your iCloud content. -
IPhone mail app is not pushing Office 365 emails to show in my lock screen

I transferred from one college to another last semester and set up my iPhone to receive school emails as I had at my previous school. Both colleges use the same email system, Microsoft Office 365. At my first college, my email functions worked perfectly fine, and everything showed up in my lock screen as I had set it to do. But upon transferring, only my personal emails would push to the lock screen. That semester, this issue caused me a good amount of trouble. Professors would email me asking if I could stop by their office between certain hours during the day, but only much later would I receive the email, and their office hours were long over. I am the type who checks her lock screen for notifications during the day, and only when I'm bored or have a certain purpose in mind do I unlock it, so I -desperately- need a way to resolve this issue. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions?Mail has to be running in order for you to be notified of new mail. It doesn't need to have any windows open. If you're sure that it is running in the background, open the Notifications preference pane and check the settings for Mail.

Whenever my ipod freezes i just restart it but this time nothing is working!
I was using an app and it just froze (it was powercam, i was taking a picture)
Im not sure what to do nowi actually fixed this problem
i let the battery drain (it actually didnt take that long)
then i put it on my dock and it charged and now works perfectly fine -
i plugges it to my computer but still a black screen after i hold the home and lock buttons.
You damaged the phone. Buy a new one or pay for an out if warranty replacement at an Apple store.

Low Res Safari and App Store Dock Icons
