IPhone 4 camera and photo application not working!!

My iphone 4 camera and photo applications do not work anymore. When I tried to take a picture, the camera froze. I turned off my phone and when i turned it back on, the app will load, but when i tap to take the picture it returns to the home screen. The picture library application does the same thing. I try to load my picture library and when I tap to open it, it returns to the home screen.
I have tried turning it off and on multiple times and also turned it off for an extended period of time and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions on what the problem could be or possible ways to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Tap Settings App>General>Reset, near bottom of list>Reset All Settings. If this does not help you could try a Restore with iTunes, and when asked at end Set Up as New. If this does not help and you have Warranty or AppleCare Coverage take iPhone to Apple for resolution.

Camera and Photo app not working?

I am having an issue with these two apps on my 16gb iphone 3g. Every other apps works normally but these two refuse to open even after a reset, anything known causing this or am i going to have to go through a restore. also going to Wallpaper from the settings button crashes as well. AND the camera works from other apps.

CAMERA and PHOTO LIBRARY NOT WORKING ON 3GS

Camera option frozen wont let me take pictures. Also when viewing library it wont playback video or show full rez pics. *** apple ?

I'm having a similar problem. I can usually get one shot off but after that the autofocus works fine. I can push the home button to quit but nothing else works. No shutter, camera roll button, or switch to video.
If I press home and then back into the cam it works again for 1 or 2 shots but thats it.

Camera and flashlight does not work

My camera and flashlight will not work after the ios 7 upgrade. I have rebootd and completely wiped out my iPhone and still no camera or flashlight. I have seen where others are having the same problem but no answers.

I had the same problem it's definitely a software issue because the camera would sometimes work in camera apps but now I could not switch cameras at all.
I may have found a solution of course I probably won't get credit for thanks to Apple.
I believe the problem arises from a bug when the camera is used in lock mode, try restarting your phone with the home and power button. Then open your camera in locked mode and set the flash to auto. Maybe take a few pictures, switch the camera back and fourth, turn HDR on and off, but make sure the flash is set to auto before you unlock the phone. Heck even try playing with the flashlight.
After I did this in locked mode to my surprise my camera and flashlight are now fully functional after I have unlocked it with the password. I'm not to sure what triggered this bug but when I first got iOS 7 and played with my phone some how I unlocked the lock screen without putting in a password. Just by using the camera and the notification and control Center, I unlocked the phone which might of triggered the bug.

I would recommend first doing a PRAM reset. You can find instructions for that in https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3603.
Please let us know if that works or not, there are several other things you can try.

I had same issue and went back to snow lepard, there was a known issue with Lion and a patch was issued last wednesday for Lion it may be ok if you update it I dont know

Camera and led light not working after IOS 7 update on iphone 5 help please!!

After I installed the update my led light won't work for the flashlight and my camera doesn't work either. Only the front facing camera works. Any suggestions?

thanks for the suggestions, i tried the ideas you suggested but i dont even get a camera showing for the rear camera, i also noticed the torchlight no longer works. i did all the steps but no luck.
So I took my camera to the genius bar this weekend as well as walking through various steps with the apple guys in ohio support over the net.
With the guys at the genius bar, after i insisted that it must be software as the rear camera stopped working only after the softwre update, they continued to assure me it was hardware and talked me into letting them replace the camera, they then took it to the back and tried fixing a camera and 30 minutes later came out and said the rear camera is no longer being detected and wanted me to replace the motherboard for yet more money. im glad they didnt charge me for the new camera though as it still didnt work.
anyway the motherboard idea i rejected as it was just 2 months out of warranty and had only stopped working the day after the release of 7.0.2, so im going to wait until the next few releases to see what happens, as i dont believe for a second its hardware. i expected a stock answer from apple and its exactly what i got even after my explanation of how it was working the day before the release. not overly impressed with the whole process.
i wanted to back down to 7.0.1 to confirm the camera still works but they said no chance so i cant even see if it still works ouside 7.0.2. anyway will update if i get any further progress.

Messages and Photo Booth not working properly

I've been having a problem with my Messages and Photo Booth applications, as well as a bunch of other Apple applications.
Messages won't let me switch conversations, Photo Booth won't let me click the video recording option, iMovie just won't work and GarageBand won't let me edit compositions. I've tried restarting my computer, but that didn't help (although my computer ran faster).
I also can't close the application without having to actually quit the application instead of clicking the x button.
Help would be gladly appreciated!

You can also try setting up another user account.
Do a backup, using either Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure files/data can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

My camera and facetime are not working

The icons for my camera and facetime disappeared. When checking the internet for help, some said to go into "Settings" then " Restrictions" and then enable the camera and facetime. I see these 2 items and they show that they are turned off. But when I try to turn them on nothing happens. I tried other switches such as Safari and it turns on and off. Can anyone provide some help? Thanks Randy

After the update camera and lock button not working

After the last update my camera just a black screen and my lock button which is on the top not working properly I cant close my Iphone.

Apple will not repair this iPhone, you will get a perfect replacement iPhone 4S exactly like yours, except it will function perfectly.

Links and photo gallery not working!

Hi,
I've just created a website by iWeb. After publishing the site in the local folder I've uploaded the entire contents to the server by FTP. From local folder it works fine but while trying to view online, the links between the pages not working (even not visible) at the same time my photo gallery is also not working (not visible). I was using Safari in mac.The same problem occurs while I am trying to browse the site from in my pc (copied the file in a local folder) and using Google Chrome and Internet Explorer
If anyone can tell me what is the possible error?

From viewing your site it's apparent that not all of the files are being uploaded to the server. Particularly those in the Scripts folder.
Have you opened your locally published site with your browser and checked it out? I think you'll find that the navbar will display correctly on both pages and the rest of the site will properly.
What ftp client are you using to upload the files? If you haven't tried the free Cyberduck client give it a try. Many users have found it to be successful where other clients were having problems.

My camera is not working - there appear to be no drivers for it through the website for re-installing, and none in HP recovery and the copies of the original drivers loaded on the computer. Cyerlink you cam does not install a driver.
How am I expected to be able to re-instal a driver when there is not driver for it?
Secondly, there is no information on the camera provided in the laptop.
USB ports on the left hand side are not working.
Finally - there is a mysterious Q drive which also appears not to function.

My iPhone 5s Siri and voice txt not working

several weeks ago I notice that Siri wasnt working nor was my voice to txt. I attributed this to not updating my iOS because my cloud storage was full. The holidays were crazy, waited until I had time to transfer my pictures to my computer, so I could update it. It's now updated to iOS 8.2.1 and Siri is still not working. When I push the home button it won't wven make the ding sound it usually does. It will pop up the question "what may I help you with" but when I touch the microphone button nothing happens. When I talk on the phone others can hear me fine. I just got this phone right before thanksgivin!! What has happened to my microphone? I've tried turning the obvious on and off and still nothing works! Help!!
