The easy and quick way to fix this is to connect your iphone to itune...
1.Go into your iphone (Top right of itune).
2.You'll see 3 different topics in bold - Iphone, backups and options.
3.Go to options and uncheck all the boxes (make sure you remeber what was been check before you uncheck anything in the boxes).
4.Check only - manually manage music and video and press apply (bottom right of itune).
5.Wait for it to finish the process (it should delete everything).
6.Then it is up to you.... either go by each tap and sync each one (info, apps, tones, music, movies, TVshows, podcast and photos) or uncheck manually manage music and check whatever it used to be before you unchecked everything.
7.All done, Everything should be working perfectly.

  • Hey apples, how do I get my iPhone 4 sync'ed with my itunes account using my laptop?

Hey apples, how do I get my iPhone 4 sync'ed with my itunes account using my laptop = how do I add my existing itunes from my account from my laptop to my iPhone 4.  Thanks.

Overview of syncing iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with your computer:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1386
Keep in mind that with the iPhone, you can sync all iTunes content with only one computer.  Trying to sync iTunes content with a second computer will result in iTunes erasing the content from the first computer.  However, non-itunes content such as contacts, calendars, mail settings, notes, etc. (anything in the Info pane) can be synced from another computer.
If you have songs on a different computer, copy them to the computer you use to sync:

  • IPhone 3GS SYnc problems with Windows 7 64 Bit

I am having sync problems with windows 7 64 Bit.
The iPhone syncs a few tracks then hangs, a few minutes later itunes tells me the iphone has timed out.
Anyone have any ideas about this. I have tried different USB ports, cleaned the apple USB cable contacts with Servisol, restored the iPhone and reinstalled itunes.
iPhone and iTunes are latest versions.
    Thanks

"Try this connect the iPhone, let the mtp driver installation fail, then go into the device manager and uninstall the unknown mtp device. If you then scan for new hardware from the device manager it should recognize the iPhone & update the driver."
    Ok here's what I did:
    1) Connect the iPhone (iTunes had been installed)
    2) No MTP driver installation is happening as Windows detects iPhone successfully
    3) Open Device Manager
    4) There seems to be 2 drivers for iPhone that are active now, although I still can't see which one is the MPT driver you're referring to.
One of them sits under Portable Devices: "Apple iPhone". If I view the details of this driver, it lists the following files:
    - C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\UMDF\WpdMtpDr.dll
    - C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\winusb.sys
    - C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\WUDFRd.sys
    - C:\Windows\system32\WpdMtp.dll
    - C:\Windows\system32\WpdMtpUS.dll
The other one sits under Universal Serial Bus controllers: "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver". And as indicated by Joe above, it lists the following files when I view the Details:
    - C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\usbaapl64.sys
    - C:\Windows\system32\usbaaplrc.dll

  • Iphone 3g sync problems with itunes 9.2 after updating on another computer

    Hello
I have an old mac which will not allow me to update itunes to 10.x. So I have been updating my iphone via another computer (which apple support to itunes 10.x) and my old mac has been able to see it still and therefore I have been able to backup/update it.
However after updating to ios 4.2, my old mac has not been able to sync to it and itunes tell me that I have to update to itunes 10.1 (which I cannot).
Last time I updated, I had to restore my iphone due to various problems (mainly to do with itunes 9.2 allowing me to download the unsupported ios 4.1). I didn't have to restore this time and this maybe what has caused me the problems. Does anyone know whether I can solve my problem of syncing to itunes 9.2 by restoring my iphone and reinstalling ios4.2? Or is ios 4.2 not supported by itunes 9.2 at all and now I need a new computer?
Sorry, I originally posted this in the wrong section.
    Cheers for the help

Yes, I had the same problem this time and had email communication with Apple about it when ios 4.1 came out. Apple have made it so 10.4.11 is not supported by itunes 10.1, and so stuck with itunes 9.2.1.
When I had this problem, I decided to update on another computer (as I did this last time). But I didn't have the same problems as before (requiring a restore of my iphone) which I suspect solved the problem I have now.
However, if the restore doesn't solve this, then I have an iphone without any music on it! Or any of the apps as well.

  • Music sync problem with ios 5 on iPhone 3gs?

I've seen a few other posts with a similar problem, but no solution that has helped so far!  I have an iPhone 3GS, and have updated to the new software.  My problem is that the music says it syncs, in iTunes it even shows that 4GB of music is on my iphone, but when I open the app it says there is nothing there and that I can buy music from iTunes.  Any ideas?

I just had a similar problem with my iPhone 4. Are you using wi-fi syncing or USB? I found that using a USB connection helped. I connected the phone, turned off "sync music," then synced. Turn "sync music" back on and sync again.
    Hope that helps.

  • IPad Sync problem with new iTunes 12.1.0.50

I just installed iTunes 12.1.0.50 and for the first time I can't sync with my iPad 1 (IOS 5.1.1) which worked for years prior to this iTunes update.  Every time i connect my device through USB cable my iTunes stops working with a message it cannot not connect and can't find location for device and I have to force quit the application. I have reset my iPad, I have uninstalled and re-installed iTunes and tried multiple times to get this message to disappear and sync my iPad device like I use to. It looks like the sync works with my iPhone 6.
Does anyone know a fix or having the same problem?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try to sync. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

  • OSX Photos sync problem with IOS Photos

iCloud has 1521 photos, which are correctly shown on my iPhone and iPad including all photos taken recently.
Problem is iMac, Yosemite, showing 1558 photos - how can it have more??
Especially as nothing has synced down to the iMac since April 4.
PLUS it says it is uploading 3721!!!! I don't have so many and never have!
I have made sure there are no duplicates.
Is there any way to redo the database or whatever is causing the problem on the iMac?
Have rebooted, unticked Photos in Settings/iCloud and rejoined.
That made it worse - even more to upload (allegedly).

  • Outlook syncing problem with new iTunes update

I'm concerned about syncing my iTouch again, as I have major problems from the last time:
Last week, I updated and synced my iTouch (4th gen) and the synch acted different.  I was faced with "conflicts in Outlook" to review.  I was doing this on the fly, and didn't really think anything of it, even though I hadn't ever been asked this before, so I went ahead without thinking.  Before this, in order for my Contacts folders to not all sync together, I had to make a Contacts folder I named "iTouch Contacts."  When I finished the sync, I noticed that in Outlook, my main Contacts folder now only had about 400 contacts in it (should have about 3000), and my iTouch Contacts folder had over 3000.  Obviously, my iTouch had done something weird and synced differently.  I knew I had some kind of duplicating mess to deal with, but just ended up moving all of the iTouch contacts to the main Contacts folder to deal with it later.  In the next couple of days, I synced it again, and (again) the same "conflicts" and that began to worry me.  When it was all said and done, for some reason, I saw that the iTouch Contacts folder in Outlook had 3000 again.  Without thinking, I was just disgusted and deleted all those contacts.  I later realized that I had deleted the majority of my contacts and that my main Outlook Contacts folder was again down to only 400.  Since most of my contacts are no longer in Outlook, I can't email people from a new email, but must use a previous email and reply to them.  Also, when I look at the contacts on my actual iTouch device, ALL my Outlook Contacts folders are there, even ones I have never had checked to sync with the device.
My question:  How do I dare sync again...without knowing first how to get all my Contacts transferred from my iTouch to Outlook?  And then how do I figure out how to sync the right folders?  The recent update must have had some changes that just took over without asking me!  I had even unchecked the boxes under the Info tab in iTunes on my device, so as to NOT sync contacts, but it just went ahead and did it anyway.
Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi lastskier
Have you browsed through the forums at all? Its worth spending a little while doing so because most problems have been experienced by others and resolved.
My recommended method for installing iTunes upgrades is:
    1. Back up your iTunes library, and by this I mean locate the iTunes folder (usually in My music) and copy all of it and its contents preferably to a removeable hard drive (they are really cheap now). This is your insurance and if all else fails you have not lost your music files.
    2. Download the iTunes programme from the apple website to your pc - DO NOT install online.
    3. Temporarily disable any antivirus/antispy software programmes (locate the icon in the lower right hand side of your desktop and right click - you should get options to disable)
    4. Run the install and reboot.
With any luck you will be up and running and the new iTunes will have found your old library and imported it. You will still have a safe copy on your removeable drive.
Conflicts with AV/antispy programmes are the most common problem with iTunes installs.
If it doesn't work and you are happy you have a back up of your music, you could try uninstalling all iTunes, iPod and QT s/w using "add/remove programs" and then running thru the steps again. However, this time you may have to get your new iTunes to find your music files on your removeable drive by plugging it in to your pc and getting iTunes to search for it.
You will have lost any library settings e.g. playlist info play count etc by going this route, but there are fancier ways of dealing with that. You can open up "my Music" folder and reimport your entire back up copy of the iTunes folder and this will preserve your old settings.
Let me know how you get on.

  • IPhone 3Gs syncing problems with PC and photos

An executive at my company is experiencing syncing issues with his photos on his PC and iPhone 3Gs. He's gone to the Apple Store and met with a Genius Bar consultant and they've already wiped the phone "clean" and still is unable to sync his photos to his iPhone. Any suggestions or fixes are greatly appreciated. He recently upgraded his laptop to Windows 7, could that be a contributing factor? Thank you.

  • Iphone 5 battery problem with iOS 7

I am experiencing horrible battery time since I upgraded to iOS 7. I feel like I'm down to almost 60% of battery power. Anyone else experiencing battery power issues with their iPhone 5 and the new iOS?

Strangely enough, the phone seem to have stabilized by itself, as if it had to learn my ways before getting back to normal. I did turn off some notifications, as well as some localizations, but that did not have any effect on my battery. After 2-3 recharges though it's now back to normal.

After I upgraded to ios 8on my 5S, I am now not unable to sync. The error message says that my iphone cannot be found! I'm running iTunes on Windows XP. Anyone ideas on fixing this? Thanks!

Are you using iTunes Match by chance?  If even one of the songs in your playlist is "ineligible" for iTunes Match, it will fail the sync of the whole playlist.
Look for a cloud symbol with a line through it next to any songs in your playlist.  You can sort by that column to make it easier to find them all.  If you find one, go to your main library page (not the playlist page), right click on that song and choose "Create AAC version".  That will create a new, iTunes Match eligible version of that song.  You can delete the other one from your playlist and add the new one.  Once you get rid of all ineligible songs, the playlist will sync.
If you're not using iTunes Match, I can't help you...but hopefully this helped someone!

All of the original files are in my Download directory. I redid the "Add file to Library" for my books. Followed the process then synced the iPad but still had the same problem.
I'll try it again just to be sure.
