Iphone 4 will not connect to itunes

I cannot open itunes or the app store from my iphone 4. It displays the message "cannot connect to itunes"... i just updated everything but i cant seem to figure this one out.. any tips on what to do?

having browsed some other topics i've looked in device manager and there's a "!" symbol over "Apple mobile device USB server" and this message "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"
So erm, is it an issue with my iPhone? :/
N.B. I'm pretty much 100% ignorant with technology, so i need things spelt out to me, haha.

Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
Unfortunately, the data on your phone is already gone if you're seeing the connect to iTunes logo.

My iphone 3G will not connect with itunes. I see the device as a USB drive e and g and I see the music and files on the phone OK in windows explorer. The phone shows up in the USB devices as MEDIATEC FLASH DRIVE two times. The icons on the phone also are not whats on the box, the bottom icons are dial, filemanager, audioplayer and services for example. I do not have safari or the ipod icons at all. How can I reload the apple OS on this phone??? The phone is a 3G 16 GB. I can not check the os there is no about section.

My phone is not an iPhone. I took it to my Apple store in the mall and its a fake clone. It's close but not made by Apple.

Home sharing is on on itunes and adding new library on my remote iphone app results in veryfying passcode results in the following message on itunes 'the pascode you have entered is incorrect'. Quit and relaunch iTunes
Connect the iOS device to a different USB port on the computer
Reboot the iPhone, iPad, or iPod
Reboot the computer
Use a different syncing cable (if possible)
I changed my syncing cable and it worked! Try that if all else is failing.

I just purchased an iPhone 5C which will not connect to iTunes. It says that the Apple ID or Password is incorrect. My computer and iPad all connect to iTunes and am using the same on the 5C. Reset everything, new password. Powerbook and ipad all connect but 5C still does not, though it will connect to the Cloud. Anyone got any suggestions?

my friends iPone 2G is disabled and asked if I could unlock it which is normally not a problem but when I go thru the steps of unlocking the device it will not connect to iTunes, but my computer recognizes the device when plugged in. I am running the latest version of iTunes on Windows 7. I have even tried restarting the Apple mobile device service in Windows, tried restarting iTunes, and restarting Windows all together. Nothing I have tried works, I have searched online and all I can find is to make sure it is the latest version of iTunes which I have already installed on my computer, I am open to any suggestions to fix the problem

It seems like this could be an issue with the device. IT will not connect long enough to extract the data.

Hello I hope someone can help. I just got my new iphone 4s. Had a 3GS before which worked perfectly with itunes syncing etc. I turned on the new phone today and went through initial set up prompts until it asked me to connect to itunes. I plugged it in and nothing happened. Usually itunes would boot up and recognise the iphone but it registered nothing. The iphone made the charging noise and then nothing. I have already done a sim swap and now cannot get the phone to work and cannot call for help as my phone wont work.
My macbook is around 5 years old and is version 10.4.11. The version of itunes I am using is 9.
Please can someone help me out or offer some advice on what is going wrong here!

The iPhone 4S requires iTunes 10.5 or later which requires Mac OSX 10.5 or later.

IPhone 6 will not connect to itunes on the initial setup of the phone.

Once the sim card has been inserted, the iPhone asks to be restored from a backup on itunes and asks to be connected the the itunes account. Once connected the phone makes the connected noise and begins to charge, however the image saying "connect to itunes" stays on screen. The itunes on the pc also doesnt recognise the phone and the next stage of the initial setup cannot take place.

Iphone remote will not connect to itunes

I have the downloaded iTunes 11 and the latest Remote App last night with hopes my problem would be resolved. For about 6 months I have not been able to connect my iphone 4S (6.0.1) to my imac. I've restarted the router, phone and computer are on the same network. iTunes sees the iphone, when the iphone issues the 4 digit security code, I am prompted on my mac for the code. I enter it. I get the confirmation page on the mac that I can now control iTunes using this remote. However, I can not. When I open the remote on my phone, I receive an error that it could not find the library. Firewall is off, I've re-tried multiple times, I've triple checked the correct home sharing ID. I've restarted the phone, the computer, the router..sigh. This worked flawless for some time. It still works with my iPad, just my iphone is out. Any thoughts out there?

Since I installed the latest iTunes, 10.5, my iphone won't connect to my computer, I can still charge it using a normal power adapter, and my pc still makes the usual noise when connected, but i can't see it on itunes and even when putting it in sleep mode (i don't know the proper name) nothing works, i've left it plugged in for hours and nothing seems to happen. First time that I plugged it in I had a balloon saying "installing device" then shortly after another saying the install failed but ever since there is nothing but the usual noise when plugging a USB device to my laptop. Obviously I'm currently unable to update / back up / restore my phone (And it has been like this for a couple of days now). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

WWhen I connect my phone to iTunes. iTunes disconnects my phone and give me a message. The phones iTunes is not up to dat. How do I update without connecting to my computer.

You do not update iTunes on the phone. It is referring to iTunes on the computer. You can either go to the iTunes page to download, or when you have iTunes open, go to check for updates.

Just to test have you tried plugging into another computer just to see if maybe the phone is damaged in the docking port and that is why?
