Iphone 4s An unknown error occurred (9)

Last week all of a sudden my iphone 4s restarted, but it only got to the apple logo screen, then restarted again. It was doing that repeatedly every 10 seconds or so for the last few hours. The only thing I could do was turn it off completely but only if it wasn't plugged in. If I plugged it into a power source it kept restarting and I couldn't even turn it off. But turning it off didn't do anything anyway because when I turned it on again it just continued doing the same restart cycle. I tried a reset, which had no effect at all. I tried to do a complete restore using itunes, several times. It starts to restore but then I get a message "The iphone (iphone) could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9)." I made sure itunes is up to date, restarted my computer, and tried again a few times with the same failed result. And now the phone doesn't continually loop through the apple logo. Instead, after the apple logo, it shows the connect-to-itunes screen (in order to do a restore, but like I said, that doesn't work) and stays on that screen for a minute until it turns off. (But again, if I leave it plugged in, it doesn't stay off. It keeps turning back on and it stays at the connect-to-itunes screen until I turn it off.)
So I don't know what options I have left. As far as I can tell, I have a brick that lights up with an apple logo or itunes logo.
One other small thing to note (probably insignificant)-- When the phone kept going through the apple logo loop, right before the screen went black and it restarted, the apple logo would grow dim and there was sometimes a horizontal line across the screen, then it went to black.
If anybody has any ideas, please help! It would be much appreciated. Apple products are supposed to have a long life span! And I've never jailbroken it or done anything out of the ordinary.

Error 9 is about computer security software blocking the contact to Apple servers. iTunes has to reach Apple servers during the restore process.

ITunes could not copy "Song Name" to the iPhone because an unknown error occurred (-50)

Recently when I tried syching one of my playlists into my iPhone 4 (Running on 5.1) using iTunes 11.2.0.26 for Windows (Windows XP SP3), I have been having a problem with some songs I acquired recently. It will sync all the other songs, but when it reaches the song in question, the following error message pops up:
"iTunes could not copy "Name of Song" to the iPhone because an unknown error occurred (-50)"
After which, it stops synching songs altogether.
I tried TWO different USB connectors (BOTH from Apple), and the error still occurs. When I remove the song in question, ALL songs sync normally.
I used the 'Get Info' option to see if there was something in the way the song was coded. This info is from one of the songs that gets synched normally:

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but I don't have the nerves to read through thousands of "I've got the same problem too" replies. I do not care whether anyone has the same problem. Here's my problem, I sync my iPhone via iTunes 10.5.2, which works fine but after a while it prompts with an error message "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because an unknown error occurred (OxE8000001)". This error message will not disappear and I have to force shut-down iTunes. It works OK for a while after re-start but the error comes back after a while. It is a very annoying little problem because I was waiting for WIFI syncing for so long and now it doesn't work properly
Any ideas how to remedy this?

i had this problem too, check security updates, itunes update to 10.5, disable firewall and antivirus but still the same problem. Seems there is no answer to it.

How are you?
Well, I have an iPod Classic, it gave me the error -1436 error and would not restore on iTunes.
I did the following:
My Boss (@work) has a fairly old iBook but it has OS-X, so I decided to give it a try and connected my iPod to it.
The system showed a window telling me that the disk is not MAC formated and needs to be validated prior further action. Snce it is a Mac product, I thought "yeah, go ahead".
It then opens the disk manager utility for the Mac and showed the disk. It's window has some tabs, one is to verify the disk, so I verified it. Guess what, it had some invalid clusters.
Then I formatted the iPod to OS-X Plus file system (next tab to the right). After formating the iPod, I "ejected" the iPod and reconnected to my PC. The Windows iTunes found an iPod with Mac file system and asked me to restore it. As I clicked on the "restore" button, I crossed my fingers as this was the last resource I have.
Finally, after the file extraction was done, it began to restore the iPod!!
I'm so happy about being able to restore the iPod that I decided to share with all you guys this solution as it is the most usefull, in my opinion.
Hope you can find someone with an iBook or a desktop Mac, so you can fix yours.
