Iphone 4s shuts off when it has a full battery and says its dead. This started happening right after a screen replacement.
I have an iphone 4s and ever since the screen was replaced. It has been shutting down with a full battery saying its dead. Can someone help me?
Hi Dcp019,
There's a section in this article for power issues like unexpected power off.
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting

If the issue started after a repair however, you may want to check with them about the repair.
Best regards,

When attempting to edit a phot I pushed the red eye removal tool. The iPhone went black and the apple logo appeared. I had to hold down the power button for about 5 seconds to turn it back on but it never completely shut off this happened the next 3 times as well. It happened after I updated to 5.1
Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

IPhone keeps shutting off every 30 minutes w/ full battery
Ever since I updated to 2.0, my iPhone has been randomly powering off completely.
The only way to turn it back on is to hold down the Home and Power (top) button for a few seconds, and then the Apple symbol comes up.
Any ideas?I think I am having a similar problem. I have the new iPhone 3G.
My screen shuts off (the screen turns black, but the phone is still on...like if you shut the monitor off on a desktop PC while the tower is still on) randomly which requires me to do a hard reset (holding the sleep button at the top of the phone and the home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears).
This happens without warning when I do the following:
1. During a call, when I need to use the keypad, put a call on hold, activate speakerphone, etc. the screen will stay black and will not turn on when I touch it. This means I can't even end a call unless the caller hangs up. It is clear that the phone is still on (I can hear the caller at the other end), but I cannot use the screen at all. The screen comes back on when I put the phone back up to my ear, but then when I pull it away to touch the screen it goes black again.
2. After I complete a call, the screen will shut off before I can press the "end call" button. Even after the call is terminated from the other end, I cannot make the screen come back on.
3. After the screen automatically goes to sleep (goes black), I cannot make it come back on.
In all 3 of these instances, I use a hard reset to make the screen come back on. In the first instance that I listed, I have to do a hard reset during the call in order to disconnect the call and get the screen to come back on.
These problems do not happen during/after every single call. For example, sometimes it will be after one call, other times it will be after five calls. It happens without warning and without reason. It is very inconvenient because I am resetting my phone several times a day. When I call customer service lines (for any company), I can't use the keypad to do things such as "Press 1 for English" without doing a hard reset in the middle of the call and calling back several times until it works.
I would really appreciate it if you could offer some advice on how to fix this problem.
Thank you. -

Please help, I have 1500 pic of my daughter on here and they aren't backed up ..If your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad is Broken
Apple does not fix iDevices. Instead, they exchange yours for a refurbished or new replacement depending upon the age of your device and refurbished inventories. On rare occasions when there are no longer refurbished units for your older model, they may replace it with the next newer model.
ATTN: Beginning July 2013 Apple Stores are now equipped to do screen repairs/replacements in-house on iPhone 5 and 5C. In some cases while you wait. According to Apple this is the beginning of equipping Apple Stores with the resources needed to do most repairs for iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches that would not require major replacements. Later in the year the services may be extended as Apple Stores become equipped and staffed with the proper repair expertise. So, if you need a screen repaired or a broken screen replaced or have your stuck Home button fixed, call your local Apple Store to see if they are now doing these in-house.
You may take your device to an Apple retailer for help or you may call Customer Service and arrange to send your device to Apple:

I have updated my phone to the most recent but now my phone will randomly shut off after it drops below about 20% battery life... tonight I was at 21% and it shut off as if it was completely dead. Yesterday it died completely at 13%. It doesn't turn back on until it is plugged in and sometimes it will pop back on immediately after being plugged in. Is there a way to fix this or does another small update to fix this have to come out?
I have the same issue. I think it may be related to cold weather. I am now inside writing this without plugging it in immediately after it repeatedly shut off outside with ~18% battery. This is really bad. It almost left me stranded as I was expecting to call for a ride.

my ipod keeps shutting off when I plug it in to my computer to sync with itunes. how do I fix this?
With the iPod still connected, try resetting it by pressing and holding both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

Why does my iPhone 4s keep shutting off when it gets to 15% battery life?
It just shuts off, and once I put it on the charger, it will turn on with 18% or more. This has been happening for the past few days now, and I don't know what's going on o_O
Have you been doing the recommended running the iPhone until it powers down then recharging to 100% once a month or so, in order to keep the charge readout calibrated?

Why does my iPhone 6 shut off when I charge it overnight?
I just got my iPhone 6 and now for the second night in a row when I leave my iPhone on the charger overnight as soon as it gets to 99% or 100% it shuts down and I have to hold the home and power button down to start it again in the morning. What's going on here?
Hi, Ek453.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that your iPhone powers off when charging overnight. Here is an article that I would recommend going through when experiencing this issue.
If your iOS device restarts, displays the Apple logo, or powers off while you're using it

IPhone 3GS Shuts Down When I Get To 20% Battery - Battery Doesn't Last
So like everyone now, I'm experiencing battery issues on the 3GS after upgrading to 4.3. My phone can barely get through a 5 hour day at school & it's dead before I even get to work at night. I'm constantly having to keep my phone plugged in to the external battery I bought. My 3GS also automatically shuts down as soon as my phone reaches 20% battery. This never happened before iOS 4.3. Used to be the phone shut off at 2% battery, not 20%. Anybody else experiencing this? I hope this gets fixed in an upcoming update soon.
I have exactly the same issue with iPhone 4 iOS 4.3.3 getting empty battery shutdowns at 20% then at more than 20 % seems to be poor calibration but I don't know how to reach 0% if it keeps shutting at 20% anyways charging to 100% then restoring appears to solve the problem but it's only a matter of time then the problem comes back ... Any ideas

HELP PLEASE?Have you done the battery update.
If none of this works contact Apple at the number listed in the update. They should be able to help you get a new battery. Mine was always at 23% when it cut off.

MBP shuts off when not plugged in (yet battery is fully charged)
This is the 3rd time I've suffered from this problem.
The problem lasts for about two days then seems to go away for a week or so.
When I leave the MBP charging for a few hours, then disconnect the power, it almost immediately shuts off (no warning, no error, no sleeping).
While disconnected, if I try and turn it on, I hear the boot sound, but then it shuts off again - the monitor never turns on.
If I connect it back to the power it turns on and boots fine.
My parents also have a brand new MBP, and I can avoid the problem by swapping batteries.
I therefore think my battery is faulty.
What else can I do to test the battery functions?
Thanks,
-VijayThis started happening to me a few wks ago. My MB Pro would just go blank and shut down for no reason, while using it unhooked from the power cord. I could restart it, but it would shut down within a few minutes. The battery showed 60 to 70 %. Looking up on this discussion, I found numerous others who have had this problem. I called Apple support, but could not get to a person, they work only 6AM to 6PM in the US. So, today, I took it in to the Genius Bar, here in San Jose, CA. His first reaction was, Oh, you do not have Applecare. I told him about the battery problem reports on this discussion. He feigned ignorance of the problem. Next minute, he turned to me and said he will replace the battery free of charge! My MB Pro is 17 months old, and I do not have Applecare. So, all you people with this 'sudden death syndrome' please go into the store, or call Apple and claim what is due.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I am on version 6.1.2 and I have replaced my battery already a couple of weeks ago, so it shouldnt be a battery problem (I guess). this happened 2 days ago at first it wouldnt charge or turn on at all and today it turned on but it turns off as soon as I remove it from the charger. At the moment its on the charger but keeps on randomly turning on and off.
One thing to try is a updating, either via iTunes or OTA, to 6.1.3 to see if that cures the problem. Also, once you've updated it set it up as a new iPhone and see how it performs then. If it's fine after that try restoring from your backup to see if the problem comes back. It could be an issue with your firmware that's currently on the phone and it might be residing in your backup
