IPhone 5s. After replacing my battery with a long life battery I was prompted to connect to iTunes after powering on. A download began and then aborted and was returned to same download screen. What can I do to resolve the problem?
After replacing my battery with a long life battery and powering up the phone, I was directed to plug into iTunes where a download began and then stopped, returning me to the screen instructing me to plug into iTunes again. I cannot get past this point. I even tried reinstalling the original battery but still have the same problem. How can I resolve?

Restore iPhone with iTunes on computer. A Restore is more thorough than the Update. If still problem after the Restore on computer, make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send iPhone to Apple Store for resolution. iPhone 5S is covered by Warranty.

In trying to include what information all that I could I should have specified I DON'T KNOW THAT IT WAS DEFINATELY JAILBROKEN when I took it to the apple store they told me there's no way for them to tell if it was jail broken or not. I'm only going by what ppl have told me COULD HAVE BEEN DONE TO THE PHONE. With that said the only thing I know for sure is that the apple tech at the Genius Bar told me that someone took control of my root menu in February & I've had no control of my phone since. I asked him how to regain control & how he knew his exact words were "oh that is out of our scope of capabilities here at this level & you would need an apple engineer to fix it". I said ok then how do I get an apple eng then? He laughed & said you can't!!!! To which I was furious I came home & called apple requesting to speak w/the fraud dept to file a report they said we don't have a fraud dept!! So after a 45 mn phone call again I left w/no answers.

I DON'T HAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO SPEND HIRING AN ATTORNEY & Although I appreciate your suggestion I fail to how an attorney would be able to facilitate in any way since there's no suspect. I cannot prove that it's him doing it so I certainly can't pursue legal action w/no proof & no money. :'((

I was looking more for a TECHNICAL way to avoid this happening w/a new phone should I buy one or trying to get them out of my phone now! Such as installing some kind of software protection?? If you want to sync it to the iPad from that Mac, you need to upgrade it to at least 10.5.8.
If you want to copy the music to another Mac, you don't. Move the iTunes folder of the item in the Finder's sidebar over as you would any other folder. If you put it somewhere other than the Music folder, launch iTunes with the Option key held down and point it to that location.

You should connect your ipad 2 to the computer you registered it too. And then, the pass code would be off. If that doesn't work, then you should go to the Apple Store and they will unlock it for you but you will have to answer some security questions.

Connect in recovery mode and restore, explained in these articles: iOS: Unable to restore and iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
