Iphone 5S-Many new issues
My iPhone 5s began having a lot of issues this morning.
It started when I first opened up a text message. The phone was silent until I actually opened up a conversation and then my text notification began going off over and over again until I closed that conversation. It was silent until I opened the conversation again. At this same time, I noticed the problem of having imessages disappear in conversations.
Now, the phone is not receiving any messages. The only way I can use my iMessage is on my macbook. Some other problems that I am having include the whole phone freezing and only allowing me to turn it off, Siri turns on and will not exit until I restart my phone, and it is closing apps as soon as I open them. My phone has the most recent upgrade.
Any ideas on what could be wrong? Is repair an option?
Repair might be needed but there are a few things a user can do on your own if so inclined. Standard troubleshooting steps are Restart, Reset, Restore from backup, and Restore as new in that order. The first two steps are quite easy and won't harm any data.

If the problem persists then it's likely a hardware problem and a trip to the Apple store will be needed for evaluation.

I had to buy a new iPhone, how do I retrieve my stuff that was backed up in my iCloud account? The guy at the apple store said it could take a few days iCloud was running real slow due to so many new accounts, is that true?

I'd start off your troubleshooting process by deleting and redownloading the songs:
If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
Download your previously purchased song from this list.

If you don't have a SIM card in the phone, you must put one in. It's required for activation.
If you do, then your phone was probably hacked to unlock it from the original carrier. Contact them and see if they will unlock it. If they will not do so, then you can't use that phone. -
My old computer crashed. I have the data on a flash drive but some of the music was purchased under an old appleID so it won't sync. I am trying to move the music from my iphone to the new computer but I am not having any luck. Suggestions?
iTunes includes an option to transfer all iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes Store from an iPod or iOS device, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes Store only.
To transfer the music from the flash drive that was purchased from the old Apple ID will require authorizing your new computer with that Apple ID with iTunes. The same for music or any other iTunes content on your iPhone that was purchased from the iTunes Store with that Apple ID.
With the iPhone connected to iTunes and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
You will need to authorize your new computer with iTunes with each Apple ID that was used to purchase/download any iTunes content purchased from the iTunes Store on the iPhone with the Apple ID. -
Which iTunes area do I access to transfer my info from my old iPhone to my new iPhone? Music, movies, iU? I don't see any specific for iPhone transfers.
Thanks for your reply but maybe it would be helpful if you could elaborate a bit on that or maybe I was not clear enough in my question. What I need to do is NOT stop using icloud. But gather everything that is already stored in my old icloud account (X) and save it in my device (iphone, ipad etc) and then continue using icloud but with my new account (Y).
In a scheme:

Step 1) data from X -> independent device data, and then the X account is removed from the device while the data stays.
Step 2) account Y is added to the device.
Step 2 continued) now the device has a. "the independent device data" that was drawn from the account X and b. the litte piece of data from Y that I have already created.
Step 3) independent device data -> data in account Y (along with everything that is created from now on, and everything that has been stored there. The little piece mentioned above.) Everything should now be merged in Y. Merged in a "good" way. Not overwritten, not deleted etc. Nothing should be lost (old or new, from the device or from X or from Y).
The last step is kind of optional. If the best I can get is having data associated to Y (future and past) AND "independent device data" that is so independent to the point that it cannot be added to my Y account since icloud recognizes and stores only data that is created after the account's addition to the device, then I can deal with that.
I hope I cleared everything out.

I've just updated my iPhone to the new iPhone OS and now it won't work and iTunes won't recognise that it's there. I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled twice and it's not working. Please help.
I have not had wifi since November when I upgraded to the newest IOS version. I called the Apple help line and they told me some things to do and I tried them all and they worked for a few hours and then wifi shut off again. I kept doing what they told me and it worked for a couple more days and then I could never turn it on again. My blue tooth doesn't work either. I had to actually increase my data usage with AT&T becuase of this. When I did that in December I went to the Apple store and was told that it is a hardware issue and since my phone is out of warranty I would have to pay for a new phone because they could not fix the issue. My upgrade isn't up until June 2014 so not only do I have to wait for the upgrade and I am not paying for a new phone but I have to pay $10 plus extra a month on my cell phone bill because I was going over on my Data!!! I have been beyond upset about this and Apple is not doing anything about this nor did they offer up some way to resolve the issue because obviously it is not just some rare incident if several people are having this issue. Who knows how many people out there have had this issue and have not said anything about it. Now there is a newer update that I can't do because it requires wifi in order to download.
June can not get here fast enough and I may not go back to Iphone after dealing with this for so long with no help from Apple. -
I am trying to reorganise my apps on my iphone via the new itunes software, you don't seem to be able to move one app at a time to a different screen, just move the screens around, what am I doing wrong

Set iPhone on a new PC without erasing current data
I have recently bought a new PC and will need to transfer my iTunes database from the old PC to the new one. I know how to backup my current iTunes and how to copy it onto the new computer, but my issue is with making my iPhone recognize my new PC as its "home" computer, rather than the old one.
The problem is that I manually manage my music on my iPhone and have painstakingly added the proper album art and grouped all albums as their proper collaborations directly on the iPhone. I know that when I move my library to the new PC, the iPhone will want to wipe itself clear and sync, but since the iTunes library does not have the same playlists or album art, I will have to start all over with adding the album art, recreating my playlists and re-categorizing all the albums.
Is there a way to set up my iPhone to recognize the new PC and still retain all its current settings?
I know that making my current iTunes library match the iPhone and then moving the database to the new PC could possibly work, but I would rather not have to spend the hours making iTunes match the iPhone, especially when that would change the information on the other iPods I have associated with my current PC.

If not, why would you need to re-add album artwork? This should remain with each song in your iTunes library.
Since the iPhone does not support disk mode as with an iPod, this situation is a downside when manually managing music. The same would apply when restoring your iPhone with iTunes if needed or wanted.
If you make use of iTunes playlists and sync instead of manually managing music, this situation would be avoided and the same when restoring your iPhone with iTunes if needed or wanted. Syncing provides more options and flexibility and avoids this problem compared to manually managing music.
If you copy the iTunes folder on your old PC and all music imported into your iTunes library from another source besides the iTunes store is in your iTunes folder, and place the copy in the same location on your new PC with iTunes quit when doing so, you may be able to avoid this. I did with a new computer purchase, but I sync. -

Pairing of your iPhone with other iPhone was not successfull. May be not done in the right way.
iPhone pair with many BT devices without any problem. I have Samsung Headset and they work.
I would suggest you go the the shop and ask them to try with an head phone or let an Apple store check your BT. -
IPhone 5 music playback issues (after iOS 8 upgrade)
Hi,
After upgrading my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 I have had many playback issues with my Music. Songs randomly skipping or stopping without even doing anything are some of the issues. Also sometimes when I am listening to a song it would fast forward the music.
P.S. I don't sync my music, I just manually add content.
Is there any way I can fix this problem?

LMy wife had something like this happen with her iPad. The problem was that the device had not been synced and so some file were not loaded on the device.
The way to correct the problem is to plug the device into the computer and tell it to sync. -
I just bought an iphone4s, white, 32gb. Sometimes when I make a phone call the person that I am ringing cannot hear me but I can hear them. I have to turn the phone off and then on again, then call them before they can hear me. I dont have the phone in a cover as yet. Is anyone else having the same problem and is there a solution?
