After I deboxed , I found the pin used to extract the nano SIM card missing, and the user manual missing, and the silence key on the side stuck half way, no matter how I tried to push it. Then I borrow someone else's pin to extract the SIM card slot. I found a SIM card in there.
Great, the SIM card is working, when I turn on the power. So apparently, Apple sold me a refurbished iPhone6 at full price. Terrible feeling. I will definitely be worried if I order again from Apple
going to exchange for for a 'new' one from the Apple retail store. Sigh....

To the best of my knowledge, Apple is not selling unlocked phones yet. All the phones are intended for specific carriers. In the U.S., at least, phones that are sold for specific carriers come with an included SIM and no SIM removal tool. There is also no manual. Please not that full retail price or "contract free" does not mean "unlocked". So, none of that indicates a refurbished phone.
The issue with the mute switch sounds like a defect. However, are the phone is under warranty, Apple will replace it if that's the case.

I'm new with flash and don't know why the timers don't work like i would expect. In VB.NET timers are how you move stuff, but it doesn't look like they are ideal for moving stuff in flash at all (really slow). I'm making a game in which you throw a ball around the screen. i am using a timer to get the ball to move. this doesn't work well for 2 reasons; 1: the ball jumps alot, and 2: the timer should eventually run out of time. If anyone can help, i'd be thrilled cus this is my first post here, so yeah

Timing for movement would be more often dealt with using something that operates at the frame rate of the file. The ENTER_FRAME event is usually selected for this purpose.

I have had an account here for a good while. I have had the username "JackdaShack" and a number of moderators have helped me in the past. For some reason this time loggin in it would not accept my username and passoword. I finally had to start a new account.
I am not a happy camper. While it's not the end of the world I had a history. I had earned credits and had saved the links to a lot of questions anwered that I could refer back to in my profile

Now that email account was recently dropped but I don't think that has any connection with signing in as a username. That can be a nickname or an email address. First try: Shut down Mac forcefully. Press the button to start & hold down OPTION ke once youo see white screen. Boot disk selection window will appear. From here select your drive to boot into Mac.

Select your iDevice in the iTunes.
Choose the Summary screen (tab) and scroll to the bottom of the screen.
Then un-select Encrypt iPhone backup.
iTunes will then prompt you to “Enter the password to unlock your iPhone backup”, enter the password you set originally.

The iPhone is of no use until/unless the previous owner removes it from their account.
You will need to find the prior owner or return the iPhone.

I can not hear any voice from the ear piece with my new Iphone 5. I don't know why.

I just used the new iphone 5 for one week. Now, I found I can not hear anything from the ear piece. The speaker is ok, but it dose not work on the earpiece.
I use it very carefully, I even use a good case for it.

But if I try to sync my phone to the newly downloaded iTunes on this new computer, it wants to erase everything. Is there a way I can have all my music back on iTunes without losing it off my phone? If they aren't purchased from iTunes, then you are going to have to find them and download them onto your computer and back into your iTunes library.
You can turn off photo syncing, and import the ones from your phone onto your computer.
