IPhone 6 won't play with Kenwood stereo USB port. Help !!

I have a Kenwood KDC-BT743U Stereo in my car, which has a front panel USB port. I've been able to connect my iPhone 4S and play music from my iTunes catalog as well as stream music from Pandora, Soundcloud, Tune In Radio, Mixcloud et al, without any problems until yesterday.....
Now that I've upgraded my phone to a iPhone 6 and when I connect it to the stereo via the USB port, it doesnt play at all. After about 2 minutes of trying to connect , I recieve a 'USB Error" . As I stated, I've had no problems with my iPhone 4S, which I've used with this same stereo deck for the last two years without any problem what so ever.
I'm looking for some guidance on next steps to take in order to fix the problem? Did Apple change the spec in some sort of way? Do I need to go to Kenwood for a firmware update (their website provides no information about iPhone 6 compatability with any of their stereo's which is very odd to me) ?
Please help, my life in the car during long commutes is just not the same......

Possible Solution:
1. Go to Settings > General
2. Go to Restrictions
3. Enter Passcode (possibly x2)
4. Enable Restrictions
5 Disallow CarPlay
6. Reset Network Settings (Not 100% sure if this step is needed)
7. Have at least 1 song in Apple Music App
8. Have Iphone at Home Screen
9. Connect Apple Original Cable
10. That 1 Song should start playing
11. Open Prefered Streaming App and hit Play
Carplay negatively affects USB connection with Non-Carplay USB Audio Receivers.
I have the Iphone 6 with 8.3 iOS connected to Pioneer avh-41000dvd car stereo and the above solution fixed USB audio issues, including Error code 22-65.
If you are having issues upon reconnect, disconnect and bring Iphone to home screen and reconnect.

IPod touch won't work with car's USB port after sw update

I've been using my iPod with my 2011 Honda CR-V's USB port to play my music through the car's audio system without issue since I bought the car. This stopped working after the latest iPod software update a few days ago--the msg on the audio screen says it's now "unsupported". Is there anything I can do to fix this without a full restore? Glad to hear we're getting closer. Looks like you're connected to the network, just not able to utilize it's internet connection.
Let's check your iPod's IP addres. Tap Settings > Wi Fi and look for your network. To the right, there's a blue circle with a white arrow in it. Tap that circle. If the IP address starts out with 169.x.x.x, it is a self-assigned IP address. Since it came from the iPod, and not the router, it can't be used.
I would recommend resetting your iPod's network settings:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
When the iPod restarts, reconnect it to your network and try Safari again.
If it still isn't working, try powercycling your router and resetting those settings at the same time.
1. Turn off the router
2. Reset the network settings again, as indicated above
3. Turn the router back on
4. Reconnect the iPod to the network
If it still isn't working, let's check your iPod's software version.
Settings > General > About
If you've upgraded to 2.0, the latest version is 2.0.2. If you haven't upgraded, the latest version is 1.1.5. If you're not at either of those numbers, connect the iPod to your computer and use iTunes to check for software updates for the iPod.
Regarding the router settings, I'm not familiar with your router manufacturer. I'd check their website for instructions on that. I think at this point you wouldn't really need to change any settings, but just check for firmware updates.

Music on my iPhone 5 won't play and is grayed out. HELP!

I got my iPhone 5 about a year ago and I never had any problems with my music until now. About 2 hours ago, I wanted to download a new song. So after it downloaded, my 4 most recent songs I had downloaded from iTunes the day before became grayed out and wouldn't play! That problem eventually got fixed but now some songs that I have and haven't purchaced from iTunes aren't playing and are grayed out. This keeps showing up next to the songs that are grayed out and when I tap it nothing happens:
I do have iOS 7.0.4, which is the latest softare. I don't know what happened when I plugged my iPhone in this time. I really need help without re-downloading all my music because I have about 500 songs. PLEASE HELP! Feel free to ask questions for details on my issue. Thanks.

So yesterday I purchased 3 songs.
One of them will let me listen to it but the other two I can't
listen to them.
It either skips them an goes to the next song, plays a different

I have this problem, too. I bought two new songs this morning, after updating my iPhone 4 to v. 4.3.3. The songs will show up under "Purchased" playlist, but not under the "Songs" tab, neither will they show up when I want to edit my regular playlist to add the new items in. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. Any ideas, anybody?
PS: I have reset the phone too. Didn't help. Additional info: I have my iTunes set to sync songs manually. Also, purchases I made within the last six or so months are not showing up at all, even though I did a "Transfer Purchases" prior to downloading and installing new software.

You may need to switch 'Nike + iPod' off in your Settings, then re-enabling it. Make sure that the sensor is not in sleep mode (which can be corrected by pressing the small button on the side opposite the Nike and Apple logos). Depending on the age of the sensor, however, the battery may be depleted.
Make sure you have the latest version of... iPhone... software and iTunes installed.
Make sure the sensor is not in sleep mode by using a pen or stylus to press the Sleep/Wake button on your sensor once to wake it up.
On your home screen, tap Settings.
Scroll down and tap the Nike + iPod option.
Disable the Nike + iPod feature and then re-enable it by tapping the On/Off button at the top of the page.
Place the sensor back in the shoe and walk around to activate the sensor as you attempt to relink it to your iPod touch or iPhone 3GS.
If the issue persists and you have access to another sensor, link the new sensor to your iPod touch or iPhone 3GS. If you can link the new sensor to your iPod touch or iPhone, take in your first sensor for service.

Mac iOS version 10.5.8 and iTunes on Mac is 10.6.1. iPad and iPhone version is 6.0(10A403). When I check for updates on the Mac book pro it says software versions are up to date.
When I check for iTunes version 10.6.3 it looks like it is for snow leopard operating system which I am not on. How to I get my devices to sync with computer. Everything worked prior to iOS 6 upgrade on remote devices.

Macbook Pro running Mac OS 10.5.8
iTunes 10.6.3 (i.e. latest update - which hasn't had an issues apart from syncing).
I tried 3 different USB sync cables. Still not syncing.
Do I really have to update my Mac OS to 10.6.8 in order to sync my phone ? I thought as long as you have iTunes 10.6.3 you're ok...
Is there a way to update to Mac OS 10.6.8 (or later) without wiping the hard drive and doing a new install?..

I am running iTunes 11.1.5.5, and my phone is using iOS 7.1
Windows 8 recognizes that the phone is connected, and even asks if I would like to download pictures, however iTunes will not.
So far, I have stopped and restarted AMDS, iTunes, my laptop, and the iphone. None of these have had any success. I've tried using a different cable, but the results were the same. The phone can download songs via its own iTunes app, but cannot sync with iTunes on the laptop.
How can I get my phone to start syncing with iTunes again? This problem occurs sparatically, sometimes syncing and sometimes ignoring the phone altogether, like it is now.

Well, OSX 10.9.2 is free, which should solve the iTunes problem, but 10.9.2 isn't bug free, & you'll lose the ability to run any PPC Apps if that important, as well as needing to update many Apps & Printer Drivers.

Definitly sounds like a physical issue with the phone. I suggest you go to your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for help.

as of yesterday I've noticed that when I add a new calendar listing on my iphone it won't sync with my yahoo-outlook calendar when I sync it. Did I inadvertently do something wrong. I'm a pc user

I suggest resetting the sync history on your PC.
Open iTunes and choose Edit -> Preferences. Select the Sync tab and choose to reset sync history.
With a Mac, I usually recommend restarting the computer after selecting reset sync history, so you might as well do the same.
