IPhone App Sales Figures??
Anyone can share the sales figures of your Apps? How many copy can you sell per day? You don't need to tell the App name and the category, just the sales figures is okay.
Since I heard that most of the Apps only get < 10 sales per day, and most of them are selling $0.99 per copy, so this seems to be not so profitable. I started to think that should I invest even more time and money onto this game. Yes, I am not considering this as a hobby, I want to develop a rather professional app, right now I am worrying about it.

I have 5 For Sale iPhone apps in the AppStore. Now my apps are more expensive than 0.99 cents but its because they have a limited audience. For example my one application EventGhost has a very limited customer base. It has to be someone who owns an iPod touch or an iPhone AND uses EventGhost on their PC. That narrows you down pretty quickly. So you can't charge 99 cents for something you think only about 300-500 people are going to download because its just not worth your time to make 300$ USD. So you have to charge according to your customer base.
Of my 5 in production apps I am seeing about 20 sales a day. So that's about 4 copies per app per day, but not really. Some days I sell 0 copies of 3 apps but 10 copies of 2 apps and some days I sell 1 of this, 2 of that 6 of that etc. But overall its about 20 total a day.

Anyone else experiencing this? There is a massive drop of sales this week. At least -50% starting monday, and a -10% every day after that. Any explanation for it?

Hello, someone stole my sons IPhone today in his gym class. I have the "find my iphone app" on my phone BUT he is not a listed device. I went into his itunes account and downloaded the "find my iphone app" app under his account. When I try to log into "find my iphone" under his name on my device I get an error msg involving icloud......he is MUCH better at this stuff then I am BUT he is in school and now I need to figure out how to use the "find my iphone app". PLEASE HELP
It doesn't matter whick account you use to download the app.
You have to sign into the app (or iCloud.com from a web browser on your computer) with his Apple ID & password.
Find My iPhone will only work if it was enabled in the iCloud settings on the device and it was powered on with a connection to the internet -

Did you have Find My iPhone enabled on your iPhone in its settings? If so, go to www.icloud.com and use your Apple iCloud ID to use the Find My iPhone app.

I lost my iphone and cannot figure out how to open the app "find my iphone" in itunes after I have downloaded it. Can anybody help?
Or did you mean you had downloaded it to your iPhone, and you were looking for the app in iTunes to activate it? If so, that is not where you would do it. You need to sign on to your iCloud account on your computer - that's where it is housed....

I made my own Apple ID because when I was logged into my dad's my family was receiving my texts from other people. I want to add my device to my dad's "find my iphone" app but without signing into his Apple ID on my phone because that was causing them to get my texts. I was told by Apple I could add my device to his by signing into icloud.com but there is no option that I can find to add my device. And I don't want to log back in to his.. Any ideas???
Also when I apply the safety copy it only imports the app the phones have had in common, so none of the apps that only the iPhone 4 had doesn't come in, only the ones I and the iPhone 4 has had in common. So you say the only way I can use the Apple ID to download on the old iPhone 4 is if I delete the apps that are in the phone and then download them again? How will that change the ID to download/update from. Won't it still have mine to update/download from?

Looking for simple sample of iphone apps without using Interface Builder
I successfully went through the 'iphone app tutorial' and used Interface Builder, but now want to try creating apps without it.
The UI Catalog sample is too complex, but didn't see anything that just had a view and a button or label.
Ideally I want code that doesn't require any IB usage, but I can't tell if that is possible yet...
Anyone have a link to an easy sample?
Or has anyone created a test app themselves and wouldn't mind posting?
I took a stab at creating one and posted it on the "101" forum, but it would be hard for somebody to try and figure out what I was attempting

In faq their is one section how to use prohramming in this you can see
the how to ceate label,button etc.

XCode iPhone Apps Won't Compile (or do much of anything really)
Ok so I've got the iPhone SDK installed and I'm just running through the iPhone Dev Center's little starter page, figured I'd start things off by running the MoveMe application. But no dice... I try to compile and XCode just sits there, usually with the progress stuck somewhere between 0% and 25%. No error messages, no status messages, nothin.
Well fine, so I try the Hello World sample project. Same story.
I try to compile a trusty old non-iPhone app. No problems here.
So I uninstall XCode and reinstall w/ the iPhone SDK. Same story, same situation.
I try moving files, making fresh projects, adding garbage code to the main function, but still absolutely nothing changes. I can compile just fine (and it will appropriately complain when I have garbage code in) but if I try to BUILD it just sits there.
An image of my frustration here... this is exactly what I see when I try to compile. And nothing MOVES.
Anyone have any insight into this? I'm still pretty green at XCode, so I'm not even sure where to start looking.I also have the same issues. I've tried running the sample projects from the iphone developer site with no luck (tried with an ipod touch, with the simulator and no luck in either case :/)
What I have noticed is that it initially hangs on copying one of the assets (a png file in hello world). If I stop it and then try to build after, it hangs on trying to compile the xib file. -
Populating data in iPhone app to iPad
Does anyone know how to populate the stored information I have on my iPhone apps to my iPad? I've synched all the apps, but on the iPad they are all empty... Not a single app transferred the info. Things like my book library with all the books I've read, my secure app that keeps all my private account info, my food shopping app with favorite foods for creating shopping lists, etc. Help!
If you mean synching with itunes so everything from my iphone appeared on my ipad - then I did that. All of the apps appeared... they are just empty. I'm trying to figure out how to 1) populate them with the information IN the app from my iphone, and 2) when I make updates from one to the other, then allow a synch to translate the data from one to the other.

Determine installed version of iPhone apps?
Is there a way to determine the currently-installed version of my iPhone apps? I am just curious because a number of them have released updated versions, and I'd like to figure out what I have now before upgrading. I'm on iOS 4.3.5.
No way to do that on the phone itself, but you can do so in iTunes: right-click any app in your iTunes library, select get info.

Hi, I've accidently purchase one of the Iphone app few times, this is the first time. This app is called " Drag Racing" I download it and is free,
however my 3 year old son was playing with it and I couldn't get it started and thought I have to purchase this points in order to play the race.
And didn't know he accidently press on it couple times since the racing game didn't show up, and I ended up found out we were just purchasing the points.
Is there any way you can remove the points and give me a refund? I would truly appreciated. I often buy apps for my son, and this is the first time I made a mistake. Hope you can give me a one time refund this time. Thanks!

Open up the iTunes store on your computer's iTunes. At the bottom of every page there's a link to support. You can plead your case, but prepare to be disappointed. All sales are final. -
Stopping user from making in app purchases on a live iPhone app

I am trying to stop user from making in app purchases on a live iPhone app. What i have done is i made Cleared for Sale: No in itunesconnect product id and Status is changed to Status: Developer Removed from Sale. But still i am able to do in app purchase in the app. Any idea why is it? anything i should do? Last Thureday night i have done this changes in itunes connect. i don't want to delete the product id from the itunesconnect.

My iPhone apps wouldn't open they just blink for a second and the home screen comes back again...i tried installing a free app from the AppStore but it didn't work and also tried resetting the iPhone but ddnt work as well please help what do i do??
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

IPhone Apps with advertisement in update
I'm finding that some iPhone Apps add advertising with "updates." Today I updated one of my favorite games -- iMahjong, only to find it now has a persistent advertisement at the top of the playing screen.
A couple of weeks ago I updated ScoreMobile -- only to find that the "update" was an advertisement at the top of the screen!
So -- first, that is a complaint, and I will go make a suggestion to Apple; I think it is terribly misleading to not describe in the app description/update that an ad has been added, and terrible of Apple to let thes ads be added!
Secondly, could someone remind me of where on my hard drive all the iPhone apps are stored? Perhaps I can delete the newest update and return to the "nicer" version?
