[iphone] Application Uploader download problem

Hi all,
Is anyone else having problems downloading the iTunesConnect application uploader tool? I get a variable way through (sometimes 3Mb, sometimes 12Mb) and the download simply fails with an error. I've tried on several machines, with a couple of different internet connections, all fail. I guess there's some irony in not being able to download the uploader tool

File Upload/Download Problem

Hi,
I have a fileupload button. The attributes type is XSTRING, which i bound it with "data" property of download.
When i download this file with "download" element, it comes in a zip file and as XML files. Only the jpg files are downloaded correctly.
How can i solve this?

I am so sory for my very late answer.
If you want to upload/download files, you should have a node which includes attributes
(attribute names are just example ):
1) filename(type: for example afilename),
2)mimetype (type : string),
3) file(type : a data element with type 'RAWSTRING').
You must match your fileupload element's attributes with them:
"DATA" attribute --> file ,
"fileNAME" attribute--> filename,
"mimeTYPE" attritube -->mimetype.
When you want to download this file, you should put a filedownload element and match this element's attributes with the node's attributes which i described above.

Podcast upload/download problem

Hi - recently ftp'd a new episode of my podcast (colliderscope.jellycast.com/podcast/feed/2) to my hosting service.
Was only when I checked itunes that I realised the file had not uploaded properly and was about a tenth of the size it should be.
I corrected the problem, however, itunes is still downloading the part file even though it will stream the entire show.
Can anyone suggest why this is and if there is a simple fix I'm missing? Thanks in advance!

Subscribing doesn't involve the Store updating because your iTunes application is accessing the media file directly (and the feed). Something odd is going on, possibly with cacheing somewhere along the line. Don't worry about the Store page: check your file by subscribing afresh, and also by entering the media file URL in Safari (rather than FireFox) where it should start playing fairly quickly while continuing to download, and show the correct duration. Currently everything is still seeing the old version of the file.
I just checked it again: also I downloaded that and the previous episode from the media file URL. The previous episode started to download a file of a suitable looking length (and it plays correctly in a browser). The latest episode downloads a file of only 11.9MB. This is the URL - try downloading it yourself (control- or right-click and choose 'Download linked file' or equivalent).

So you still have the original file at that URL. You need to go into the server, delete it completely, and re-upload the proper file: I should change the filename and amend the feed as I suggested to be really sure.

5 Easy steps to get your iPhone Application Uploaded to iTunes via the Flash Packager for iPhone

1. Go to the iOS Provisioning Portal and setup your Distribution Certificate & Distribution Provisioning Profile (this is Distribution NOT Developer so make sure you select the other tab).
2. Generate a .p12 Certificate from the Distribution Certificate (the .mobileprovision is fine how it is).
3. Within the Flash IDE select your Distribution Certificate & Distribution Provisioning Profile to be used then make sure you select under iPhone deployment type, Deployment - Apple App Store. Generate your .ipa file.
4. Transfer your .ipa file to a Apple Mac Computer, rename the .ipa file to .zip file extension, then extract the .zip file it will output a folder called Payload open it and within that folder will be a file with the same name as your Application. Right click and select Compress.
5. Now open up Application Loader and your good to go!

Sup720 IOS Upload/Download problem

Hello,
I'm using Cat6509 with "s72033-psv-mz.122-18.SXD3.bin"
I tried to upload new IOS from my PC to Catalyst and download that IOS from Catalyst to my PC.
In both cases, during the process, it stops with displaying "timed out" message.
When it stops,in upload, the size of the incomplete IOS is 33.5MB
Do you know why this happens?

Another option that is POSSIBLE (but I'm not sure it is recommended) with the newer memory modules (CF) and Sup720 in native mode would be to use a USB flash memory drive to read and write the files to CF. Obviously you'd want to verify this in a non-production switch to make sure the formatting is compatible and the file is readable, but I have been able, on my 6513 with Sup720-3BXL and my USB 7-in-1 drive to read/write the CF after formatting it on the Cisco first and copy new code version to the CF card then insert & verify the bin file.
Please also note the SXD3 is deferred and is not recommended for deployment last I knew and can have a bad bug if you accidentally create a subdirectory on the CF card (while using the above method) where the whole switch will reboot and continue to reboot - SXD4 or SXD5 if it exists is the current recommended in that release train for SXD I think..
It's a documented bug in the bug tool, but doesn't SPECIFICALLY state that a subdirectory will trigger it, only "corrupted flash", which is what the IOS in that version thinks the directory existing really is... SXD4 fixes that bug. OR, even easier, don't create subdirectories on it if you are using a PC to transfer images to the CF! :-)
Either using FTP or a different TFTP server, as Amit and the other poster mentioned, will also work.

IPhone Application Update Problem -- Please Help

So I downloaded the application Aurora Feint. Synced it to my iPhone and all was well. Then apparently there was an update. Instead of logging onto iTunes and updating it that way, I decided to try out the Application Store update feature on the iPhone itself. The problem is that the feature won't work for programs later than 10MB. (Aurora Feint is 20+MB.) So now I'm left with an unusable Aurora Feint update icon on my screen that is just taking up space.
I tried holding down the icons so I could just click the X to get rid of it. Problem is the update icon has no X. Then I tried syncing my phone via iTunes and telling it to remove the AF application. Supposedly it did. But when I disconnected the phone, the AF update icon is still there.
Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the blood thing?

If all else fails, first remove the app from iTunes (delete it), then do a restore of the iPhone. It should be gone after the restore.

I wish to upload a PDF file to my website but Firefox 3.6.12 reports it as type application/force-download and NOT application/pdf, WHY?

My website has been running for many months, and as part of the site users can upload PDF documents to share with others. The last successful upload was 5th Nov, but to-day my upload was rejected because Firefox returned the document type as application/force-download rather than application/pdf. Uploads work fine with IE8.
The site uses PHP to check extension and document type and, as I mentioned, has worked fine for many months. I have even attempted to upload the same document that succeeded on the 5th, but again Firefox returns application/force-download as the document type.
Why the change?

Just found a solution.
In Tools, Options, Application Firefox listed TWO options against Adobe Acrobat Documents; the apprliaction/pdf and application/force-download. I have deleted mimeTypes.rdf and allowed Firefox to re-create the file. All works as it should now!

it sounds as if your DAD is referencing a table for its DocumentTablename that doesn't exist. the correct doc table for a supported installation of htmldb is "wwv_flow_file_objects$". my default install of htmldb created a dad like this...

IPhone mail download problem

My brand new 3GS iphone has stopped downloading one of my Comcast email accounts. I have talked to iPhone support and am now talking to Comcast. Nobody seems to know why or have a solution. Here are the details:
Midday Friday I noticed that I wasn't getting any new emails from my primary Comcast account. Even when I manually did a push on the phone, nothing happened. Saturday, I spent over an hour with iPhone tech support troubleshooting the problem and they were stumped. As part of the trouble shooting, we deleted and re-added the mail account and now the mail only downloaded before 3/26/10. Everything after that date is missing on my phone. I had a friend test the account on her iPhone and the results were the same.
Has anyone had this problem? Suggestions? I need to be able to read my mail on my iPhone.

I've had a similar problem with Verizon.
Last week Verizon asked users to change their outgoing port server from 25 to 587.
On April 19th I made the change in my Outlook Express and Gmail browsers, and since then I've not received any mail on my Mac or I-Phone.
I've been on the phone with Verizon everyday for a week.
I keep getting a message on my 4-month old I-Phone saying "Server failed incoming.verizon.net"
Verizon claims it's a problem with my phone and Mac Book and suggests I call Apple. Seems odd that I've had no problems before this, and both go up on me on the same day... Weird...

Purchasing an iPhone application on a computer and downloading it elsewhere

The subject tells most. I would like to browse and purchase iPhone applications at business when I have a speedy net and constant web access to download them at home where I shall dock my iPhone.
Is it possible and how?

I forgot to tell that at business I have, sadly, a Windows machine. I did not find there any 'Mobile Application' folder in the iTunes one. I do not know if that depends on the fact I never bought here any application.
