IPhone compatibility between Asia and Europe

I wish to know if an iPhone4 bought in Asia is fully compatible for use (and covered by guarantee and support) in Europe, accessories included. Thank you.

The iPhone warranty is country specific unless the device is purchased in one of the EU countries.
Any iPhone purchased in the EU can obtain warranty service in any other EU country per this support article from Apple.
There currently are no other exceptions to the iPhone warranty.

I have a web site built by Yahoo Web Site Builder which does not have a Mac version, is there any compatability between Iweb and the old Yahoo program? If not how do I clear off the old site so as to re publish with Iweb.

iWeb cannot import published files so you would need rebuild the site.
Yahoo hosting is notoriously poor and their tech support is awful. I would suggest you look for new hosting and start afresh. Some pointers for choosing hosting...

If you do choose to go this route, transfer your domain name registration away from Yahoo to your new host.

  • What do I need to travel to S.E Asia and Europe?

Wondering if any one can help me here, I'm not the most tech savvy person and I've looked over allot of information and none of it is concise. I'm totally confused as to what EXACTLY I need in order to charge and run my 2012 Macbook air and an Iphone 3G. I'm from the U.S and traveling to Singapore, Bangkok, India, Cambodia, Spain, Switzerland, Germany and France for business.  I realize that I need an 230V adapter and then two different types of "plugs" (I may be using the wrong terminology for the thing that goes in the socket) one for S.E Asia and then one for throughout Europe. The Apple "world traveler adapter kit" has bad reviews but I see that it has the different types of "plugs".  Is this really all I need?
Will the power cord/charging cord that come with these devices work once plugged into the adapter they say 100-240V on them? I looked up both devices and they both have "Auto switching power supply"-so both devices adapt automatically then? I also see that a power strip is recommended for overseas travel to use/charge multiple electronics. Anyone have any experience with this and have any info on actual product requirements for traveling or recommendations? THNX!

    You've got the picture, OK.
Many years ago I traveled those parts of the world, except India and Cambodia, with Apple's World Travel Kit. It was perfectly OK. But that's nearly 20 years ago. And, yes, you will find similar products both less and more expensive. You should check out your local AAA office that has a travel agency. They also have adaptors as will many computer stores and department stores.

  • Iphone 5 sim card and europe

I have an iphone with AT&T and travelling to France.  I wanted to buy a sim card there to use for calls and data but wondering if the phone needs to be unlocked for this..
    any ideas or suggestions?
    thx

    Hey Skyao,
Yes, you need to unlock the phone to use a non-AT&T SIM card (wether this is domestically or overseas, such as Europe).
If you contact AT & T, they should be able to unlock the iPhone 5 for you. Please note that you may be charged an Unlocking fee for them to complete this process.
I hope this is helpful .

  • Battery compatibility between X31s and X61s

    Hi!
I own a X31s and X61s, and would like have a spare battery handy for travel. Before placing the order, I am wondering if the following battery can be used on both:

    jennyumaa, welcome to the forum,

  • Compatability between LaCie and other drives

    Greetings Kind MacAddicts!
I have a 160GB LaCie (Triple Threat?) FW800 external drive and have had no problems. Now I want to expand and daisychain another external drive. Thinking of a Maxtor with FW800 (more bang for the buck) and wondering if there are any known compatability issues between LaCie and Maxtor, or btw Maxtor and the new Intel processors. Suggestions?

Well that drive inside the LaCie casing could very well be a Maxtor drive too :P
Remember LaCie don't actually make Hard Drives, they just put drives from other manufacturers in their external casings and charge a premium.
Yes, some of their designs look nice

  • Difference between GB and Europe/London Time Zone Region

Is there any difference between the GB and Europe/London Time Zone Regions?
I've checked through the documentation and I can't find anything in there. I've also queried the V$TIMEZONE_NAMES view and they show the same abbreviations, so I'm assuming that they're the same, and it's just a case a being as specific as you want.
    ORA11GR1> SELECT * FROM v$timezone_names WHERE tzname IN ('GB', 'Europe/London');
    TZNAME                                                           TZABBREV
    Europe/London                                                    LMT
    Europe/London                                                    GMT
    Europe/London                                                    BST
    Europe/London                                                    BDST
    GB                                                               LMT
    GB                                                               GMT
    GB                                                               BST
GB                                                               BDSTIf anyone can point me in the direction of any docs/articles that might be able to shed some light on it I'd appreciate it, if not then I think I'll settle for Europe/London and I'm in England.
    Cheers

  • Compatibility between Yosemite and Photoshop / Bridge CS5.

I am concerned about the possibility of incompatibility between Yosemite and Photoshop / Bridge CS5 so have delayed updating my Mac. Has anyone updated, experienced problems and found solutions? What does  Adobe have to say in this regard?

I'm not sure I know enough to answer the question.
The images are on my G5 on a second internal hard drive (not the boot drive).
They are in a folder with a lot of images from the same shoot.
That folder shows up in the Library in Aperture, also. I think I imported them. But, as best I can tell, they do not "only exist in Aperture" because I can see them, and their .xmp files in the original file on the second internal hard drive.
Thank you so much for trying to help.

  • Issue with VPN compatibility between 2811 and 2911

         hello
I would like to ask anyone have had any issues with setting up a VPN tunnel between 2811 and 2911?
The IPSec VPN is established but for some reason I cannot ping the LAN side to the other LAN side of the other end of the VPN Router?
Any experience would be much appreciated
    Thanks

IPSec VPN can be with no problem set up between any cisco routers (and not nesesserely cisco),  so there are should be no issues in your case.
If you say that tunnel is established successfully, then problem most probably related to routing issues between sites or incorrect crypto-acl configured. Check if hosts on both sites have correct routing information on how to get to subnets on the other site.
To make more accurate assumptions it would help if you provide config on both sites and describe your topology.

  • USB Flash Drive Compatibility between Mac and PC?

    Hi,
I own an iMac 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM and just got a new job where I'm using a PC. At work they all use flash drives to transfer data back and forth to computers etc. Would a flash drive (let's say a Kensington since that's the brand I've seen the most at work) that works in a PC at work be compatible with my iMac at home. I know Kensington makes them compatible for Mac and PC but just wondering how the data would transfer onto my Mac. Is it readable, does it depend what I'm transferring over?
    Message was edited by: spiralgirl

    {quote} guy there said they haven't yet perfected the flash drives to switch between Mac and PC and work well so I was a little surprised at this. {quote}
That is pretty much a standard reply you get from someone that doesn't know anything about macs. I've used those things for years without any problems, but I have been using my ipod as a disk lately because I always have it with me. It's also another less thing I have to buy and carry around.

  • Compatibility between CF7 and CF10

    Hi
We currently have two load-balanced servers running CF7 Enterprise Edition.  The applications use the Client Variable store, so that we can move users between servers as necessary (should one become busy / unavailable).
We now want to add a third server into the cluster.  This will have to be CF10 Enterprise Edition.
Does anyone know if the Client Variable store operates in the same way, or am I likely to have problems if I try and add this to the cluster?  Also, can anyone point me in the direction of looking at which CF tags (or tag attributes) have been deprecated between 7 and 10?
    Thanks
    Karl

I don't think you will find a list of differences between CF 7 and CF 10 from Adobe.  Maybe someone out there has compiled a list????  More likely you will need to read the release notes from each version and determine that way.

  • Is iphone 5 the same for Asia and Europe?

I want to buy an iphone 5 from the Apple Store in Bangkok. Will it work in Greece? Is there something I have to say to the people from Apple in order to give me the correct type?
    Thank you,
    Kostas
    PS I'm living tomorow!

    Hi Kostas,
    I like your PS
You need GSM version (not sure if CDMA are sold in Asia, but if yes - avoid these).
The other GSM models may differ in LTE bands. Check somewhere on Internet what bands providers use in Greece and ask what models are available in Apple Store.
    GSM model A1428*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 4 and 17)
    GSM model A1429*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5)

  • File compatibility between cs3 and cs5

    Hi,
What are the compatilibity issues between Photoshop CS3 and CS5?  Can they be used together without much (if any) issues?
    Thanks.

They can happily coexist on the same system, as long as you've got the disk space.  Photoshop has always been like that.
You'll only be able to run one at a time, at any given instant, though.
Regarding file compatibility, I don't how much it's required to open a file in Photoshop CS3, but the newer version does offer a "Maximize Compatibility" preference setting for saving .psd files.  On occasion I've opened .psd files in Photoshop CS3 saved by CS5 (using the aforementioned setting) and I haven't seen any issues at all.

  • Compatibility between CS3 and earlier versions?

As the web developer I have Contribute version 3, but some of
    my new clients
will be buying the latest Contribute CS3 to update their site
    pages. Can I
still set up their roles and editing rights for a site and
    create a
connection key to send to them that will work for them in
    Contribute CS3
without difficulty? And can either of us still edit the site
    pages,
regardless of the fact that we are each using different
    versions of
    Contribute?
In conclusion, are there any backward compatibility issues I
    should be aware
of between the newer version and older versions of CS3 when
    administering,
and connecting to, the same website?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Backwards compatibility between DWCS3 and DW8

I am purchasing the CS3 Web premium and plan to only install
in on the new desktop I will purchase. Most of my design work will
be done on that system but I will occasionally need to work on
files when traveling on my laptop which will only have DW8 (not
upgrading that system just yet). Will there be any compatibility
issues in working on the same file between both versions, or am I
stuck only working on the desktop?
    Dara

I don't see any problem with compatibility if they are static
    pages and you
haven't used any of the newer features from CS3 like Spry for
    example.
