Bought it from where? I ask because given what you have already tried, it would appear that this iPod needs either service or exchanging for another one.

please solve this issue by a quick update and thanks.I have been on the phone twice today with my carrier. They reset it the first time, it worked for an hour then messed up again. They reset it a SECOND time.. It worked for 6 hours, then messed up again. I don't know if this is a software issue or what but if ANYONE has any insight, I would appreciate it greatly.

You could try to do a hard reset, sometimes resetting the phone helps. Hold down the sleep/wake button on the top and the home button until you see the apple logo, this make take a minute or two but this might help.

so after just getting this phone ..literally 2 days i decide to update it .. to IOS 8.3... after updating i realize it doesn't have service and won't get service .......i try to download the firmware yet it says my device isn't eligible (i have the latest iTunes)... i also have tried to go to the host folder to delete the gs apple code but it isn't there to delete ... i really need my phone ... can you please help me...

When I update the ios on my Iphone 4 it wont turn on and I tried to restore it, but it stuck in restore with apple logo and loading bar not move at all, I contact apple support and they tried to help me but nothing work, then they told me to send it to replace it and I need to pay $149, that's mean if anybody has any problem with his iphone even the problem from apple software you need to pay, that's not fair at all.... I will try to sale all our apple device and by Samsung device to resolve this problems.
I believe this means that it is bricked, just sell it for parts, to someone like me

Don't worry about that. iPhone stuck in recovery mode always happens when you update the iOS on your iPhone. There are two ways to solve it.
First is is to put your iPhone in DFU mode.
Step 1. Turn off iPhone
Step 2. Hold down the Power and Home button.
Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the Home button down.
Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that it’s in restore mode.
If DFU mode can't solve the problem, I'm afraid the only solution is to try some 3rd party software, like iPhone data recovery or something like that. You may simply try the tutorial here: How to Fix iPhone that is Stuck in Recovery Mode. -

This has happened to me too! Whatever I do isnt working! Have phoned Apple 3 times and each assistant has given me something new to do and none of them worked! So frustrating!
The help the support website gives is useful, and what they go through with you anyway. Other than that I was advised to try a new cable or USB port or try another computer to restore it on and then 'back it up from restore' on my computer after..

i just upgraded to the new itunes 9.0.3 for WinXP and still have the same two problems. iphone is also on OS 3.1.3
1.) when there are more iphone apps to update i try to use the update all button, but i nearly never work - everytime an error message pops up (something like unexpected error try again later) and i need to update all the apps manually
2.) after manual update i switch to the iphone tab of itunes. when i now change to the programs app, itunes either freezes or crahses instantly.
when i load it up again i have some ghosts in my programs folder in itunes - all the apps that were updated have a second, grey icon. i need to delete all of them manually.
this is happening in 90% of all app-update procedures - what's the problem here?

If it persists, Darth, I suggest you contact Apple about it....the more folks who bring this to their attention, the more likely something will be done about it.

I don't have much advice about the crashing/freezing when you go to the apps tab of the iphone, other than not to sync when you're in a hurry.
This has also been reported. Several folks said if they left it alone (for what seemed like hours) the tab finally displayed. Seems itunes is having problems drawing all the apps icons, since there is no list view for the iphone. That problem has also been seen when a lot of movies were getting synced and going to the iphone's movies tab - it takes itunes forever to draw the first frame of the movie.
It was also seen in v7 when the apps windows (on the PC, not the iphone) only had the grid view. A later release made it so apps could be shown in list and cover flow. -
