IPHONE IS VISABLE BUT WONT ALWAYS SYNC

Hi, my iphone always connects to my pc (running windows 7 64bit) but doesn't always sync with itunes!! The error messages vary from 'have lost contact with' or unknown error.
has anyone got any experience of this, I've done all the usual updating and reinstalling.

Assuming you're speaking of wifi syncing with iTunes on your computer, I've found that to be somewhat unreliable and thus never use it.

Error 1015 means either you're trying to restore to an earlier iOS version, which is not supported, or you previously hacked the phone - jailbroken or iOS downgrade. In the later case, you can no longer restore or update.

ITune shows it has iPhone App Updates but wont Update

As of about 4 weeks ago I can no longer get updates on iTunes. iTunes will tell me that I have some, but when I go to get them, it says "No Updates At This Time. Check Again Later" but I can clearly see I have three waiting...so I have to download them all through my iPhone and then sync back to iTunes. Frustrating.
Any ideas?

Ok...so I solved my own problem...I hope.
1. First I restored the software on my iPhone through iTunes, but that didnt work.
2. Then I went back to Apple and re-installed iTunes and it worked!

I just upgraded to windows 8 and have discovered that my iPhone will not sync with my contacts & music on iTunes. It connects, goes through the motions and says that it is syncing, but no changes occur. Is there a "cure"?

Check out the articles below to first get it recognized and then troubleshooting the charging issue. If you can get it recognized, check to see if there are any updates that can be done to improve that connection.

ICal syncs with iPhone from Mac but won't sync Outlook events

Hi,
I want to get all of my events from my Mac 2011 Outlook to sync through iCloud with iCal for my MacBook and iPhone. I've been able to get the events to show in iCal on my MacBook when I accept them from outlook, but they won't then sync with my iPhone unless I plug it into my computer? Is there any way to fix this? I also can't change any of the Outlook events once they're in iCal, I have to do so straight from outlook. The outlook events come in in their own calendar called "no category" that's grey. Any suggestions?

I water damaged my iPhone and want to get my photos back. My iPhone was ios7 but my icloud synced to my work ipad on ios8. Is it now impossible to view any data from ios7 on icloud drive? Any help to get my photos back please!

I damaged my iphone 5s and want to get my photos back. It was submerged in water for a good five minutes (and is now in rice) but I'm pretty sure it's dead.
I really would like to get my photos back. I wasn't plugging in my iphone and backing up, I just assumed it did it automatically because about a week ago I had a message saying automatic backups were stopping as my icloud was full.
My work ipad is running on ios8 (as of a few days ago!) but my iphone was on ios7 as I didnt have enough space to install the update. This means that my icloud is now icloud drive and I cannot view the stuff from my ios7 device without upgrading it to ios8. Trouble is, I cant upgrade it because it's in a rice bowl.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Any idea if I will be able to access my photos on icloud at all? I'm not very hopeful for my phone working again and downloading things that way!

Photos that are in the cloud stay there until they are removed by a device that has the right privileges. If your iPad is logged in with the same AppleID, then doesn't it show the photos from iCloud?
You will only be on iCloud Drive if you expressly chose to upgrade.

Sync unwatched tv-videos: But itunes always sync everything

i am using itunes and wanna wanna only sync the tv-videos, that are UNWATCHED. So i see a few videos on my iphone and itunes set the again UNWATCHED, when i syncing...

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

On iCloud, the calendar will sync from computer and iPhone to everything, but will not sync FROM iPad

When I enter data on my computer or iPhone, the calendars all sync nicely; however, if I enter an event on my iPad, it will not sync, eventhough it syncs the information from the other devices. Any advice?

Once you set your Exchange Calendar as the default here:
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > scroll down to Default Calendar > Select your Exchange calendar
All new events should be created in your Exchange calendar unless manually changed.

Iphone shows apple but wont turn on.

I turned off my 1st generation IPhone this morning (dont do that often). Ive been trying to turn it back on for about an hour and I can only get the apple to come on for about a minute then it dissapears but thats it, the phone doesn't boot up. Ive never had any kind of issue before. I tried holding the two buttons and just the one but aside from the Apple coming on for a minute or so nothing happens. Can anyone help?

Well I kinda did a mix of everything you advised except rebooting my computer. At the end of the day I left it connected to the computer, held the sleep and home buttons down for 10 seconds at a time, did this in succession about 5 times before it finally went into recovery mode and I could restore it. MY IPHONE IS CHARGING BUT WONT TURN ON

this happened the day before yesterday, i was really tired that night so i left my iphone 5 (2 years old) to sleep overnight. And i woke up and looked at my phone and it was out of battery (shows low battery sign) so i charged it as soon as i saw whats happening. Then i was minding my own business until i noticed that maybe my iphone is already on by now. so i gave my iphone a press on the home button and i still see the low battery sign on my screen. This is not my first time happening for me so i thought it'll open up eventually in an hour or 2 then i waited patiently for the WHOLE DAY. Then to my freaking surprise, its still showing the low battery sign. Up until now, its still showing that.
I have known my iphone for having a really really bad battery life and its the worst that an iphone can get. it drains battery so much in a short amount of time and it needs to be charged every night during i sleep. Well i thought this will happen because my iphone is almost full of storage and its 2 years old now. BUT I NEVER THOUGHT A WHOLE DAY WOULD NOT WAKE MY PHONE UP.
I am freaking out right now because i have 2 phones and the phone that is having problems right now has my whole data in there and me being a complete idiot for not backing up my data onto my other phone if i take it to the apple store, they'll just reset my iphone and erase my whole data.

My stepson got a new iPhone for Christmas, but can't sync

his uploaded music from itunes because he has tiger on his older macbook. Aside from upgrading from tiger to snow leopard to lion, which his hardware won't support, what can he do? This isn't music he purchased from itunes but rather music uploaded off cd's.

1) authorize iTunes on your wife's user account for her iTunes store account(s)
2) connect the device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred her purchases in the previous step, your content will be in her library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.
