IPhone loses photos when turned off

Every time I turn my iphone off, I lose all the photos I've taken. Is there a setting I can change to fix this?

Photos taken with the camera on the iPhone should not delete themselves when you turn the phone off. This is not normal. If this happened to you with a new phone, it leads me to believe there is something in the software backup that you did when you set up the new phone. I would first try a reset, holding the home and power button together until you see the Apple logo and then releasing, ignoring the slide to power off screen. See if that changes it. If you take a picture and then turn the phone off and the picture is deleted, then you need to try and do a restore. I would recommend a restore as a new phone. Do not install anything on the phone after that and try to take a picture, turn the phone off then on and see if the picture is deleted. If it is, then something is still wrong.

  • IPhone randomly beeps when turned off

I hope someone can help with this. Just this past weekend when my phone is turned off it will randomly emit a beep. The beep sounds like a smoke detector beep, although it will only do it once. Last night it did it about 10 p.m. and now this morning it did it about 3:45 a.m.
    Thoughts? Wisdom?
    Thanks,
    Ginger

I've completely turned the phone off. It beeped again about 5:45 a.m. It doesn't beep when it is turned on only when it is off.
    Thanks for your knowledge!

  • Nokia 6210 navigator loses days when turned off

    Hi
Whenever i turn off my phone for more than a day, it stops keeping track of what day it is suppose to be.
let say i turn off the phone on friday, and turn it back on sunday, it will show the correct time, but it will still think it is friday.
this caused me to be late work work twice now, because when monday comes the phone thinks its saterday, and the alarm only goes of in weekdays.
my firmware is up to date.
is this a bug in the phone or am i timetraveling?
    Regards
    David

i see this was answered in another thread : "Nokia 6210 Navigator - date change fails during night if phone switched off"
looks like a bug that Nokia just doesn't care about fixing

  • IPhone 5 will not be recognized by iTunes or charge while on but when turned off the iPhone will charge just fine but still won't sync with iTunes what should I do?

Was charging my iphone 5 for about an hour or so after charging unplugged and went to playing games phone was at 5% so I grabbed my cable and plugged it into the wall nothing happened tried three different chords and blocks and sockets afterwards I plugged my phone into the computer and it wouldn't charge or sync with iTunes it acted as if it wasn't even plugged in so I shut the phone off and though I'd give It a break and try again later. As I got ready to go to bed I though I'd try to plug it back in and see if anything happened nothing did so I just left it I went to mess with it this morning and come to find out it was at 100% I continued to mess with it and i came to the conclusion that it only charges when turned off. I can't get the phone to reset and would love to restore with iTunes if it would sync with iTunes I don't know what I need to do but really need my problem resolved since its a hassle to have to turn off my iphone in order to get it to charge

Is that a new iPhone? Bring it in to Apple for a replacement.
    But do this first:
hold the Home Button and the Power Button at the same time, keep holding, ignore everything on the screen, keep holding until you see the white Apple logo appear, then let go and let it start up.
It should charge both when on and off, unless you connect throug a hub and there are current eaters also on the hub: connect directly to the usb port.

  • Should iphone 4 receive messages when turned off and display them when switched back on

should iphone 4 receive messages when turned off and display them when switched back on

It's up to the cellular carrier, but I believe most (if not all) will enqueue the messages when your iPhone is off.
So generally speaking, a few minutes after you turn your iPhone on, your messages should display.  Similarly, your voicemails would arrive.

  • Charging iPhone 3Gs when turned off.

I have had my iPhone 2 days and I have realised that it does not charge when turned off. If I turn the phone off and insert the wire (wall plug or USB on computer) the phone automatically turns on and when I turn it off it doesn't charge. Has anyone got any suggestions as to why this happens or any ways to fix it. I'm new to Apple products so I would much appreciate anyones help!
    Thank you!

If you plug it in while on, then turn it off, it should charge just fine (although you will have no indication it is charging, since it is off).
If you turn it off and THEN plug it in, it will start up. That's just the way it is.

  • IPhone battery discharges even when turned off since iOS 5.1.1

Since updating to iOS 5.1.1 I have had battery problems, discharging at around 4% per hour even when not used. Turning off every concieveable service and reloaded iOS as a new device unfortunately has not solved the problem. I have resorted to leaving the phone plugged in all of the time and recently started to turn it off overnight. To my surprise, the phone continues to discharge when turned off! I couldn't find this problem when I searched (apologies if I didn't search hard enougth!)

I have been waiting for months for the next iOS to see if it would rectify my battery drain problem but I continued to have the battery discharge problem after installing iOS6 .
My Home button has been playing up with random no responses and random double clicks, so I replaced the home button hoping that may also address the battery drain issue - no joy.
Then I had a look to see if I had added any Apps when the problem first appeared at the time of upgrading to iOS5.1.1. (You can view Apps by date in iTunes on the iPhone Apps tab.)
It turns out that on about the same day as the iOS 5.1.1 update I also added the Lifesize ClearSea video conferencing App. Today I disabled the App in iTunes (unchecked it) and resynced the iPhone. I believe this removes the App from the phone whilst leaving it in my iTunes so I can add it back easily. For the first time in months my phone is now cold rather than luke warm.
Superficially at least it seems that ClearSea has been running in the background, even when manually quitted and even when the iPhone was powered OFF! I will report back in a few days to confirm this was the culprit.
Five months with a phone that barely lasts a day has been a real pain...

  • When turn off wi-fi, macbook pro stop responding

installed maverics on my macbook pro 3,1. every time when turn off wi-fi manually, computer stop responding, it then has to be restarted by long press on the power botton.

Wanted the solution to work, but there's no option to Sync this iPod over Wi-Fi option on my Touch.
Settings > General > iTunes Wi-Fi Sync > Sync Now
No option to uncheck to opt out of automatic syncing.  The auto syncing can only be stopped after it's started.
Solution found by searching the web:
iTunes menu > Preferences > Devices > Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically.

  • The iPhone I got yesterday turned off and will not turn back on.

The iPhone I got yesterday turned off and will not turn back on.

Is it charged? If so try a reset by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 20 seconds (maybe longer) until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider.  Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.  If it's not charged, charge it via a wall socket for a least 30 minutes then try the reset again.

  • Photo Stream turns off with restart

Ever since I turned on Photo Stream, I've had this problem where every time I restart my computer, Photo Stream turns off in iPhoto.  If I quit iPhoto and re-open it without restarting my computer, Photo Stream keeps running just fine.  I only have the issue when I actually shut my computer off.  I'm running iPhoto 9.3 and OSX 10.7.4.
I've been doing some research to try and find a solution, and I keep coming up with two tips.  The first is to go into Library-->Application Support and delete the iLifeAssetManagement folder.  The second is to to into Library-->Preferences and delete the com.apple.iLifePhotoStream files.  I've tried both, and so far neither has solved the problem.
Does anyone have any other suggestions about how I could fix this issue?

Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto, reset the preferences including PhotoStream and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

Do you place the ipod in the dock during the night? I did this once and the other day the battery was almost empty because it kept on playing after it rested in the dock.

  • My iphone 4 volume keeps turning off so i have to put the headphones in to hear sound

a friend split a drink on me and my iphone 4 and now it turns the volume of my texts music videos and when i close and open the phone i think it could be the reason why but i read up about it and seen that it could be from the iphone thinks the headphones are still in when there not and i have a radioshack car jack for my radio so it could be that too so if someone can answer my question and tell me what to do that will be great

    Hello eman.jafri,
If the phone will not turn on at all, I would reset the device with this process:
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
From: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
              http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
It is possible you may have to put the device in recovery mode and restore it with iTunes.
iOS: Unable to update or restore

    All the very best,
    Sterling
