IPhone not sending copy and paste text messages

II'm have a problem sending messages. When I want to copy and paste a piece of text and send it as a message, it's not getting through. However when I send a short message to the same number that seems to work fine.

TThe person I'm sending the message to is not receiving it But on my iPhone it is showing as sent. Only seems to happen if I copy and paste a item eg a piece of text or something from my note pad. If I send a short reply or something that I have written it sends fine. Only seems to happen when I copy and paste an item.

Are the use the correct email address for the contact? Those are listed in Settings>Messages>Send and Receive. When Messaging somene the iOS devices used the email address (or phone number if applicable) listed in the Contact app for that person.
Thus, it appears the you Contact apps only has that one email address listed for the person you are trying to Message.
If he can send you a Messages can you reply to it? If so save the sender to your Contact app.

Select, Copy and Paste text - the iPhone can't do that either??? OK, this is pretty lame...the iPhone does not allow you to select, copy or paste text in SMS, Notes, Safari or Mail. Is this just a oversight on the part of Apple?

Apple left out a LOT of basic functionality from the iPhone. I think they believe that the 'sexiness factor' will far outweigh the need for functionality in getting this phone to sell. For the most part they were right. Now that most of us have realized what this phone cannot do, and that the honeymoon is over (well, for the most part) I hope that Apple will do include some of that basic functionality in future updates. I also hope that the 3G phone is not the answer to this because that will leave out a lot of users who want these basic features but who dont really want 3G.

How to NOT retain formatting when copying and pasting text

Captivate 7 keeps the formatting from my text sources when I paste into a Text Caption which is not what I need. Anything I could find in the forums where questions relating to "keeping" the source formatting. I don't want this, I want Captivate to keep its text formatting when I paste text into a text caption. I even did a test creating a new project and using one of the Cap 7 themes. If I paste text in the default capture caption style object, it retains the formatting of the copied text source. I have been working with Captivate 7 since a few months now and, until this morning, when I copied and pasted text from another source into my Captivate Text Caption, it retained the format of my Captivate Text Caption object. This is exactly what I need. How can I get this behavior back?

Well, first I would report it as undesired behavior and possibly ask for an enhancement that allows us to right-click and paste without formatting. Do this using the link below:

For now, you have a couple of options.
1. Perform a side trip. Open a text editor such as Windows Notepad or Apple Textpad and paste, then copy back to the clipboard. Then paste the text into the caption. (When pasting into the text editor, formatting is stripped)
2. On Windows machines, you can usually find a clipboard utility that allows you to paste as pure text. In fact, one such application is called PureText.

Same problem, 3.6.8 and previous recent versions. I never thought to try another browser but I just pasted into IE and it worked fine. I copied from Firefox to IE and it worked as well. It's just when you paste into Firefox that you get the weird line breaks.

I had a challenge importing from my outlook as it created dual entries for people I had with multiple email addresses or telephone numbers so I need to copy and paste contact info from one to antoher.
Can anyone help?

No. You would make changes to the address book on your PC and then sync via iTunes.

my question is how I can copy and paste text within a text in an email message (that is shifting phrases and passages around) without using the cumbersome "Edit". If there's a way, does it also work for texts in Pages? Please, let me know. Thanks!

actually I thought about highlighting a word, phrase, or passage, holding it with the mouse, and then shifting it around within the text to the desired place, just as I used to do when I owned a PC. Does this work with Mac as well?

I am trying to copy and past text from a website and it will not even let me select it. I am very familiar with how to do this, and it worked yesterday on the same page in safari. Please advise if anyone knows how to fix this.

Cannot copy and paste text into Photoshop CS6

I am not able to copy and paste text from non-Adobe programs (like Keynote or Word) into Photoshop CS6. I get an error message reading "Could not complete the Paste Text command because the clipboard data is empty or invalid." I have tried shutting down Photoshop, shutting down other programs, re-starting my computer, adjusting my Preferences and asking Adobe for help by phone and chat. I am on a new iMac and have no third party plug-ins installed. Can anyone help?

Try My Way to fix it out
-> copy The Text you want to use
-> paste your text (from your clipboard) To App TextEdit
-> then Copy again
-> back to Photoshop paste it on your document layout

Preview - Cannot copy and paste text from pdf

Hi there ...
I usually have no problem copying and pasting text from a pdf using Preview ...
However .. I recently received a pdf ... and there is no way it will highlight the text to copy ...
The older pdf's are not affected ...
I did a get info on the pdf ... it's not locked ... and it was made by Adobe In Design CS2
I tried opening it with Adobe Reader 9 ...... but still no luck
IN my search .. I noticed one other person had the same problem ... but he didn't get any responses..

If it's behind something else then you can open it in Illustrator and select the specific object you want. If it's rasterized then no.

How to copy and paste text from a web site viewed in Chrome using the Xperia z3v?

I have searched high and low for a way to copy and paste text from a web site in Chrome using the Xperia z3v. I've tried a long tap, a double tap, a triple tap - nothing works. I am able to select text, copy and paste it in a Word doc, however. There must be some way to do this on a web site in Chrome. I'm certain I am not trying to select text that is really an image. Copy and paste text and graphics between Flash and Illustrator

When copying text in Illustrator and pasting them to Flash, some text would become drawing objects and some remain text. A drawing object is not editable. If I import the AI file, then text remains text but the placement of graphics can be a little bit off sometimes.
It's just not possible to copy-and-paste text and graphics from Flash to Illustrator.
Is it just me? If not, when will Adobe have better integration between the 2?

Even though you can change your InDesign preferences for Clipboard Handling to allow formatted information to be pasted into InDesign from other programs, unfortunately Illustrator still won't allow you paste in text with formatting. This is due to how Illustrator and InDesign handle text differently. Even if you copy the text from Illustrator and paste it into a program like Word, which has a lot of different ways to handle formatted text, Illustrator just treats text differently than other Adobe applications.
