What is required to use the video composite out on the iPhone 4   The left and right audio works ok

Please not that the iPhone uses mono channel for internal speakers, the other path that you see is not the speaker per say. It is the phone microphone. Try using headphones, you will hear both channels. If the problem still persists when using headphones, check your sound balancing in the settings. Go to setting-general-accessibility scroll down and check the slide under mono audio. It should be put at the centre for you to hear both channels ON YOUR HEADPHONES

What is the best export setting for video from premeire to blogger.com or blogspot.com

I have not been able to find the technical limits/specs for the site Blogger or blogspot.com. That is why I made the post here thinking some Adobe users may have experimented already and come up with good export settings for AVI DV video to a format optimized for Blogger.

  • Widescreen setting in video - tv out has no effect

after a couple of hours of experimentation, i have concluded that the widescreen setting (on/off) in the tv out section of the video settings has no effect. i believe what it SHOULD do is adjust the signal to display properly on a widescreen (16x9) tv. i believe it does nothing. video displays stretched and squashed (photos too btw). this is after experimenting with the same itunes-purchased and non-itunes purchased videos on both my ipad and my iphone 3gs, using the same tv and the apple component av cable. the iphone works fine. the only way to get a semi-acceptable display on the tv with the ipad is to the set to tv to normal 4x3 display. (late model sony lcd hdtv). then you get thick black bars around the picture. with the iphone i can leave the tv display setting at it's regular "full" option and the picture fills the screen properly. i tried both sd and hd videos on the ipad. (sd only on the iphone obviously). does anyone else have this issue? is there a bug in the ipad software? is there a problem with MY ipad? will a software restore help?

i tried a fair amount of stuff. here's 2 examples:
    1) itunes store copy of an episode of the office in both hd and sd.
    2) digital copy of the new star trek movie
so the first is 16x9 and the second is a widescreen movie 2.35-1.
both look fine when playing back off the iphone 3gs (sd copy of the office). both looked stretched horizontally and squashed vertically when playing off the ipad. note that everything looks fine on the ipad itself. it just messed up when connecting
the ipad to my tv. in all cases, the widescreen setting in the tv out section of the video panel on the ipad has NO effect.
i can change the screen settings ON THE TV to fix the distortion but then i end up with thick black bars on all 4 sides. and i don't need to do this with the iphone 3gs. i continue to believe something is wrong with the ipad (or MY ipad).

  • 'Best for video' greyed out in displays prefs

I finally got my macbook(blackbook running 10.5.8) hooked up to my lcd tv (i have been using my old eMac for this a while) & I'm fooling around with the settings to optimize performance & for some reason the 'Best for video' is greyed out in System prefs/Displays but the overscan function works(both in extended desktop mode & in video mirroring mode. I have always used this function on my eMac (OS X 10.3.9) without any problems. For now I'm using the apple mini dvi to video with an Svideo cable until i can afford to go either the hdmi or vga route, but I'd like to optimize this at least..anybody have a clue why 'Best for video' would be greyed out & how to fix this? could this be because of the Intel GMA 950 Gpu chipset in this generation of macbooks? I have posted to a few forums in the last few days with no answers so far...Anybody?

I wouldn't worry too much about that setting. I believe all it ever did was set up a difference between blanking and black level, sometimes called "pedestal" in TV/video terminology. It's no big deal. You are probably correct that the GMA950 doesn't support it, so it's grayed out.

  • NX8500GT S-Video Composite out

I am trying to use the composite out adapter off the s-video port on my NX8500GT Should I get video right from startup before I get into windows? or does it only function when I am in windows? I don't get a picture ever, not even a flicker no matter what drivers I use or if I am in or out of windows, nothing from my composite I tried forced tv out and everything. Is this right, or Do you think my card is damaged? Thanks for any help. I have none to compare it to...

    Dear Popster41,
I found myself in the same situation you were when you posted this. Could you tell me where you found the converter you mentioned?
    I appreciate your help,

  • Temporarily emptying iPhone storage for video recording

    Hi,
Firstly, apologies if this has been asked on here before – if so, I couldn't find it, and might have been using the wrong search terms.
I'm getting married soon, and rather than hire a videographer to produce something we probably won't like anyway, we thought we'd go down the riskier route of asking friends and family to use their iPhones to record video on the day, and then editing all the results together ourselves.
The major stumbling block we're facing now is that most people's iPhones don't have enough free storage available to be used as video cameras for a day-long event. So I was wondering if there was any safe way to back up each iPhone (we're talking about half a dozen or so), temporarily reset it to clean out the storage, and then restore it later on after extracting the video. The questions I need answered are:
    1) Can one Mac, running one instance of iTunes, be used to back up multiple iPhones, some of which are not even synced with that specific Mac?
    2) Can I get large amounts of video off those iPhones without syncing and potentially over-writing previous back-ups? Is there a method of extracting video that doesn't involve iTunes (just as you can use Preview in OS X to get photos off the camera roll without opening iTunes, for example)?
    3) Once the video has been taken off the phones, is it safe to assume that iTunes will happily restore each phone from its respective back-up?
Thanks very much for your help.

Sorry, there is no easy/foolproof way to do what you want. The biggest hurdle is the simple fact that by design, an iPhone will sync or manually manage iTunes content with one computer at a time. So, even if you successfully backed up each iPhone's content on a single computer, & restored such to each phone when finished recording(all possible), the content would then be erased again when these phones were connected to the computers they normally sync with. Are you sure each of these individuals can deal with this? Getting the videos off each phone won't be a problem...the problem is dealing with the other data & the deletion/restore process.
    Edit:
You could have each of these individuals sync their phones on the computers they normally sync with...this will create a current iPhone backup. Then on each phone: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. Record the video, you import to your computer, when they get home they restore from the backups they made. That would work.

  • How to access Infinity focus setting for video?

    As per this post: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Capture-better-photos-in-low-light-conditions/m-p/395397#U395397
using the Infinity focus setting supposed to improve low-light video capability.
But I can't find it in my Xperia Z1 Camera App. It seems that article is a generic one and thus why I cannot find the same setting.
So how to set Infinity focus setting for the Z1?

The FAQ is general and available options can differ depending on what phone you have.
When using manual mode for video recording in Xperia Z1 you can select between Single auto focus, Face detection and Object tracking. Which one you should select depends on what your filming.

  • Best export setting for video taken with an iPhone 4?

Whats the best way to do it and keep all the quality? Any presets i could have?

These work perfectly for the IPhone 3 so i do not see any reason why the should not give the same result in 4.
    Just copied them from CS5.

  • Use iPad to remotely control iphone 4s for video capture

I want to use iPad3 to monitor and activate an iPhone 4s video function.  Possible?

I found the solution - APP called AIR BEAM - about $4  app store iTunes.  Be sure to view all the setting choices for how you want to use it as there are a few you will not need and will disable.  I did not need sound or motion sensing but did want to store on iPAD (choose transmit feature as clip will be on iPhone otherwise).

  • Which video composite out do you recommend?

I have a G5 and I need a simple video out to a TV or video monitor as I design and animate in Motion to make sure I don't have flicker or color issues.
I don't need analog capture abilities or anything like that - just a simple video out.
    Anyone have product suggestions?
    Thank you!
    Scot

yeah, Run it through your deck. or if you dont have one ... go to your local circuit city and buy a 200.00 mini dv cam w/ firewire out and run that to your Monitor. ERasy stuff.
Actually I started using an old JVC mini cam to save hours on my deck.

  • Does anyone know a fix for video being out of sync after publishing to Flash in Captivate 6?

I'm working in Captivate 6.0.2.325 on Mac OS 10.6.8. My Captivate file is just 10 slides, and 2 of them contain talking-head style video clips 30 - 40 seconds long.
Everything looks fine in Preview, but when I publish to Flash the video segments appear choppy and the audio is badly out of sync.
Also, I have one slide where the audio does not play after publishing, though it plays in Preview. It's a widget slide.
I have tried the fixes suggested in this forum. My Preferences slider is slid all the way to retain slide quality etc. I've tried changing Flash versions and forcing re-publishing of slides. I've tried copying all my slides into a new file. No luck.
I have spent approximately 6 hours trying to resolve this problem and I'm about at the end of my rope, so any suggestions will be much appreciated! I will have to insert LOTS more video segments to complete this project.
    Thank you!

    Thank you, Rod!
While researching frame rate I came across this helpful blog posting: Crazy about Captivate: Lessons Learned: Video and Resolution in Adobe Captivate
This is the line that caught my attention: "I discovered, after several experiments, that if you publish a course in Captivate as SCALABLE with a video inserted, no matter what the resolution, it makes the video look pixelated."
When I unclick the "scalable HTML content" button before publishing, the video is fine!
Big sigh of relief! Now I just need to figure out why audio won't play on one of the slides (it has an accordian widget, if that's relevant) and why I can no longer use Effects (I get the message, "Effect file is not valid")

  • Compression setting for videos

    HI,
I have 15 HD movies to put into my iBook.
Do you know the .mp4 compression settings to optimize my video for iBooks Author?
What's the best best to compress these down for full screen viewing?
    Many thanks,
    Elaine

720 wide looks good on screen. I'd experiment with the bitrate so you get small file size without unacceptable picture degradation. You'll have to experiment, I'm afraid, because the amount of compression you can apply without too much loss of quality depends very much on what's in each video.
    Michi.
