IPhone "Videos" tab not showing new movies
When I plug my iPhone into it's dock, and want to sync it with my movies I go to the "Videos" tab. I scroll to the bottom past the "TV Shows" tab and look at what movies I want to sync. I used to be able to see what Movies were new by the little blue ball to the left of the movie. Now I can't; there's no blue ball.
I have tried a lot of things, including:
1. Checking if the movie had a blue ball next to it in the "Movies" tab in the Source List. Every new movie still has it's blue ball in the source list.
2. Plugging in my old iPod Video and going to the "Movies" tab. The movies all had little blue balls to the left of them.
3. Plugging in my brothers iPod touch and going to the "Movies" tab. The movies all had little blue balls to the left of them.
I have no idea why my iPhone's "Videos" tab does not include the blue balls anymore. It still has the blue balls for the "TV Shows" directly above it.
My only possible thought it that it has something to do with the combination of TV SHows and Movies in the same tab called "Videos". It's a unlikely reason, but there's nothing else I can think of. I really miss the little blue balls. (No pun intended)
Please help me out, or let me know if you have the same problem.
You can turn this new feature of showing the previous purchases ON/OFF in Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Show All

Photo tab not showing new folders
Hi, I've got a problem with syncing new photos onto my iPhone.
I took a few new pictures from my digital camera, and wish to put it on my iPhone. I placed my camera pictures into a folder called 'digital camera' into 'My Pictures' folder. I then open itunes, click iphone, photos tab, and the 'digital camera' is not listed below (I ticked sync selected photos so that I can choose/see what folders there are). Any new folder that I create in Windows, doesn't show up anymore in iTunes, but it is there when browsing the pictures folder.
Any idea how to fix this photo problem in iTunes? I am using Windows 7 by the way.

Message was edited by: supersi90So I've been investigating a bit more on our "invisible folders" those last days.
If I create a new catalog, the problem dissapears. I can create new folders, import pictures like I did before.
So I thought our catalog was maybe corrupt, I checked the integrety and it returned to be OK.
I also found a post describing how to repair a catalog with SQLite which I did but the problem still there.
So I decided to try to create a new catalog and import the former catalog to the new one, hoping to keep all the datas but that the problem would resolve. But the import also failed with the error "Lightroom could not import this catalog because of an unknown error".
Right now I don't have more ideas....

hey having problem with my new iphone 5 i have old movies file which i used to upload to my old iphone 4 but in iphone 5 it sycn to iphone but its not showing up on the play list on itues on iphone 5. but when i check on setteings on video on iphone 5 its there but not in the music app on iphone i have tried diffrent type of converter but noting seems to be working pls help.
Are you syncing music to the iPhone automatically or manually? Do you see an error message when syncing the music to the iPhone?

Just connect the iPhone to to the MacBook Pro, open iTunes, click the iPhone icon in iTunes, click the Music tab, and check sync music. -
Podcasts and movies are synced to my iphone but do not show up in menus
Since upgrading to 5.1.1, I've noticed that movies and podcasts sync to my iphone, but do not show up in the corresponding menus. I can search for the movies and podcasts and then play them, but when I navigate to the podcast page, it shows none on the iphone. Same with movies...only the TV episodes show up.
I have tried restoring to factory settings, and that temporarily fixed the problem, but subsequent syncs seem to have undone whatever was fixed.Since no one here can possibly know what you specifically mean by "tried everything that other people are saying", no one can determine what you did wrong. Also, you didn't say what computer OS you use.

You're using Exchange Active Sync to synchronize contacts and calendars with your company Exchange Server. If the default calendar/address books are set to the Exchange account, it will sync automatically. This is normal.
Go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars to change the default address book and calendars to a something else, iCloud or something synced from your home computer instead. -
I have recently returned from a holiday in New Zealand and transited for 6 hours in China. Since returning to the UK my maps app on Iphone 5 will not show my surroundings in hybrid or satellite. I have also noticed that the data from section that usually displays data from TOM TOM and others now just says others. Has anyone encountered this before or know how to get the Satellite function on maps back?
Your phone is "stuck" in the Chinese version of maps. This also happened to me once I got back from China recently. I believe I solved the problem by logging out of iCloud and reloging in.
BTW the App Store app was also stuck in China. It only displayed Chinese characters and I had to log out and relogin.

When syncing my Outlook calender with my iphone calender, only items from Outlook synced. Events I added to my iphone calender did NOT show up on my Outlook calender. Is this the way it works, only one way?
Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar and just confirm that you haven't selected a calendar such as the one listed under On My iPhone (if that's listed), and that your have selected your Outlook calendar here as your default. Assuming you have, if you are syncing your calendar using iTunes (rather than iCloud), you may need to reset your sync history in iTunes. I am trying to connect my JVC Hard Disk Drive Camcorder to my IPAD 2 via the Apple camera kit. I am able to download photos, but video files not showing. Camera shows Mass Stoarge. How can I download videos please?
The file name only has 6 characters and I'm not sure what the .mod format is. So that's why they are not seen by the iPad.
Another way to transfer. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

My iPhoto videos are not showing up in iMovie? I have quit, shut down my Mac and they still are not showing up? What can I do to resolve this?
It is also posible to go back to the imovie you had before, it is still on your computer - you go to Finder and it is in a folder in your programs. Many others have gone back to the old program, and perhaps I am also going to do that too.
In the new imovie it does not come up the question "do you want to download these videos ...."
You shall in imovie open your iphotolibrary in top on the left side,( it is standing under libraries) and you can see all the events you have in iphoto, then you can open the event, you shall use and drag the movies and pictures from the events in iphoto to an events in imovie. If you can,t see your libraries, you can click on a show button on top of the left side.
On the picture you see here iphoto is market on the top of the left side and the pictures to the left is my iphoto-events - and there I can open the one I shall use, and find my movies.

Itunes Is Not Showing Purchased Movies
I got a new computer and installed Itunes. Itunes is only recognizing purchased songs. It is not recognizing/downloading movies from the cloud that I received via a code in a movie box. The movies show up on all my other devices (apple TV, iphone, ipad, etc.). What can I do to get Itunes to download these movies?
I've tried deauthorizing the computer and then reauthorizing it. I've also tried syncing the movies from my iphone, but this doesn't work. Itunes does not show these movies on my phone when I connect it to Itunes even though they are there.

IPhoto Events with video only not showing in Photos.app with iOS 4.2.1
I upgraded to iOS 4.2.1 on iPhone 3GS and when I open the Photos.app the videos and the event with the videos in do not show. I have created a new video on the iphone, synched ok with IPhoto but re-sycnhing with iPhone again does not show videos in Photos.app
Has anyone found a fix for this bug?The same thing happened to me. I was on a mission yesterday to fix it, but didn't get it to work. I have 1 more thing i want to try... but haven't had a chance.

My plan is to unsync photos to remove them from my phone, delete all the photo cache information from the iPhoto Library package, empty the trash, reboot my computer AND iPhone, open iPhoto to make sure they're sorted correctly, and then sync my phone. If that doesn't fix it... i dont know, i might call Apple. -
i'm a novice at editing software and after creating some title slides and to go along with .wav file sound effects i started importing mpg movie files and jpeg pictures from my hard drive that went along with an mp3 song. when i went to export the video to check my progress only the title files and wav sound effects exported and none of the video or pictures or mp3 exported. i exported it as a windows media file to play in WMP. Would this have anything to do with the type of video i said i'd be using when setting up my project? Because none of that made any sense to me and i just picked the dv ntsc standard 48hz aspect. I have a cannon FS100 that records in MOD files (mpeg2). I downloaded them through the program that was provided with my camera to the hard drive and then into adobe. Would this cause my video to not show up in exported projects if i chose the incorrect presets? I don't want to keep editing this video if at the end i'll have to redo the entire thing due to incorrect presets so i thought i'd try the forums. Thanks for any help you can give.

That's not quite the best approach. Don't look to finding this one answer, look to becoming a well educated professional in all aspects of video production before using this software. This is not a quick fix, it is a proper months or even years long method (depending on the degree you wish to attain).
As I said, for those without such dedication, there are consumer programs out there.
And of course, there is always the option of hiring a professional to do the job. We depend on folks like yourself to earn a living. Nothing wrong with supporting us.
