IPhone will not synch contacts and calendar with Outlook after upgrade to 4
I have been using an ACT! database on a PC for years, synching to Outlook with CompanionLink, and synching my iPhone to Outlook. After upgrading my iPhone to 4.0, I can no longer synch my contacts and calendar from Outlook. It "goes through the motions," appearing to be synching. But in the end, nothing changes. I have reloaded iTunes. The problem is between Outlook and the phone (the synch from ACT! to Outlook is fine).

Can sync all Outlook contacts from my computer to me.com through MobileMe but does not sync with the phone. Tech support suggested trying to sync fewer contacts at a time as their might be a problem with the contacts file. DID manage to get 4000 of my 5600 contacts back in but can't get any more in. Previously had NO problem syncin all contacts directly and through CompanionLink. VERY frustrating.
Also, I use Outlook Express for email. Since installing MobileMe I get an error message saying that Outlook isn't my default mail handler and I need to change the settings to make it the default mail handler. I DO NOT have "sync mail" checked as I'm not trying to sync my email accounts...only contacts and calendars. Made Outlook the default mail handler which stops the error message but still can't sync the contacts and I want to keep Outlook Express for email.

Z30 & BB Link not syncing Contacts and Calendar with Outlook 2010
Just loaded Outlook 2010 and went to sync my Z30 with BB Link.
1st attempt :
Configuration : Contacts : 2 way sync : Notify me when there are any conflicts
Calendar : 2 Way sync : Always use device data
Result :
No sync with Contacts
No sync with Calendar
(Also, Contacts disappeared until I restarted device.)
2nd attempt :
Same config. however no disappearing contacts this time.
Started sync at 6PM and at 8PM the sync appeared to have hung as it did nothing and there was no indication of any activity.
Result :
No sync & restarted Link and logged in again to try again.
3rd attempt :
Changed to one way from device to computer
Added Outlook to the files it looks in even though it already says it does that in the config. Section of the contacts.
Result : Still no contacts or calendar thought it showed it was doing the transfer.
After each of these I have shut down Outlook in case a restart would show the contacts.
Running out of ideas here.Mind sharing the version of your OS and BlackBerry Link?

Problems syncing iPhone 4S contacts and calendar with Outlook 2007
Hello. I am having difficulties syncing my iPhone 4S Contacts and Calendar with Outlook 2007. It used to work perfectly with my iPhone 4, but now I am having difficulties both ways. That is, I add something to my Outlook 2007 Calendar, sync in iTunes, but it doesn't appear in my iPhone. Or, I add a Contact to my iPhone, sync in iTunes, but it doesn't appear in Outlook 2007. I believe I have the iTunes settings correct.
Me too. Think it is since 6.1.3.
Interesting other quirk is that as well as NOT syncing my calendar, it also unticks my calendar from pc on the iphone.
When ii retick it, i get the calendar back, but as it was before the sync, ie, it does not have the bnew events from my pc in it.
This is a 2 way problem.
New events on my iphone wont sync to my pc, and new events on my pc wont sync to my iphone. -
I always had Nokia Phones and could synchronise contacts and calendar with Outlook. I can't seem to do this with an iPhone 4s. How????
2 ways.
1 Connect your phone to your PC, open iTunes and sync the contacts from there.
2 Open an iCloud account, connect your PC and your phone to it, select contacts (and any other services you want) -
Syncing Contacts and Calendar with Outlook
I am unable to sync my contacts and calendar with outlook. I am not sure which version of outlook I have so that may be the problem, is there a way to look up which version of outlook I currently have?
I am running Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service pack 3 it that helps.When you installed office 2007 did you reinstall iTunes? This may be necessary because the iTunes installation adds a plug-in to Outlook to manage the sync. You may have to completely remove iTunes, reboot, then reinstall it. I have just acquired an iphone 4s. When I try to sync contacts and calendar with my PC Outlook contents, itunes does NOT offer Outlook as an option. Yet when this phone is connected to vodaphone's computer at one of its retail outlets, outlook is pffered.
As suggested by others, I reloaded my copy of MS Outlook. Itunes now offers Outlook as a sync option, and has done the job!

Syncing contacts and calendar with outlook and gmail - use Exchange or not?
I need to sync my contacts and calendar between my iphone and Outlook and google on my laptop. Syncing via iTunes is fine as a backup but not as a constant process. I then saw that Gmail would permit an Exchange account to be used to allow immediate syncing so I installed an Exchange account on the iphone. It works but I now have doubled contacts. Is there a better way of doing this to avoid duplicate contacts? If I dedupe the contacts on the iphone do I risk then deleting contacts in Outlook on my PC? Alternatively if I delete the Exchange account on the iPhone is there a simple way of keeping calendars in sync on Iphone, Google and Outlook? (I just have two gmail accounts and do not have a Microsoft Exchange server)
Grateful for any useful advice on this issue!FYI I eventually developed a work around that works better. I have a mac at home and a window pc at work. You can use plaxo to sync contacts between the two and the ipod syncs with the mac as advertised. Also as a bonus you don't have to deal with any issues, problems and pains with multiple itunes locations...

Outlook contacts is not an option when trying to sync to my iphone. I added the addin in the outlook tools section. It has worked in the past but I have not used it lately to sync.

Not synching contacts and calendars
iCloud is not synching new entries in either direction of contacts or calendars. I have then set to ON in iphone settings. Iphone 4 and iMac snow leopard

I have the same problem.
One of my Macs is running Lion and all the data is perfectly in sync. However the Address Book that stays on Snow Leopard seams to be left alone.
If to look to Address Book's preferences - now it stays local with no way to sync with iCloud, because there is no such option. It's slightly sad that Snow Leopard could not enjoy the same iCloud functionality as Lion does.
P.S. to get ex me.com calendar working with iCloud on Snow Leopard required some tweeking too. -
5th gen iPod Classic will not sync contacts or calendars with itunes 9
I get the following window message when selection contacts to sycn - "iTunes will no longer sync contacts to ipod "MiPod Classic 80". Would you like iTunes to remove contacts previously copied to you ipod?"
Then is has two button choices (Don't remove contact) and (Remove Contacts).
When trying to select calendars I get a window state something like... You can no calendars to sync. Would you like to open iCal to create some. Then it give me a button to do so.
I do have calendars.
Anyone else have this problem?I have the same problem. When I tell iTunes to sync Contacts, no contacts show up. It asks if I want to add contacts to my Address Book, but when I click okay, all of my 400+ contacts appear as normal in the Address Book. I just can't get iTunes to recognize that I have contacts in my address book.
I think calendars are also missing, but I'm no longer syncing calendars, so I haven't really messed with that.
I actually think the problem started when I upgraded to Snow Leopard, but I don't usually mess with my contacts sync settings, so it could've been a problem prior to that. I just upgraded to iTunes 9 last night, and that did not fix the problem. -
Apple outlook dav fail - not able to sync contacts and calendar with outlook 2007

i changed pc two days ago.
i installed win 7 ultimate 64bit and office 2007.
when i open icloud it works normally, but i'm able to sync only photo streaming and preferred sites with the browser, but if i try to sync calendar and contacts with outlook it appear the message an error occurred (in italian: si è verificato un errore imprevisto) and you can send the error message to apple support where it says:
Impossibile avviare la configurazione a causa di un errore inatteso.
Errore: 0x8004010F: ZebraMapiCopySession::CreateMobileMeMessageStore: CreateMessageService failed
sometimes the mail window doesn't open and apple outlook dav stop working at all.
it seems that icloud isn't able to configure outlook.
some ideas?U just need to unistall and reinstall icloud control panel!

ICloud will not sync contacts and calendar events from my iPhone to my macbook pro.
Only a few contacts are displayed on my Macbook and no calendar events are displayed. Any suggestions?
Check that you have entered the information into an iCloud group and not an On My Mac group, only information in iCloud groups will sync.

IPhone 6, manual sync of contacts and calendar with Google?
I usually prefer a manual sync of things like contacts and calendar with Google, rather than an automatic periodic sync. I don't change my calendar or contact list very often, so manual sync works best for me. I could do this with Android, but with iOS if I sync contacts and calendar with Google, and then turn off that syncing, iOS wants to remove my Google contacts and Google calendar events from my phone. So I seem to have no choice, either auto-sync, or no Google contacts and calendar events at all.
Does anyone out there know of a way to manually sync my Google contacts and calendar events when I want to?
How often does the Google calendar and contacts sync get done? Maybe it isn't an issue, if it only does a sync when I change my Google contact list or Google calendar?
Anyways, I really don't like automatic, periodic syncing to a web site happening on my phone if I don't need them to happen.

You'll need to export your calendar from google into iCal, and then start making all your changes to your iCal calendar.

About your contacts, I'm not sure I'd be able to give you good instructions since I haven't done the whole procedure myself. I did however, have my Address Books contacts synced with Google.

That should get your contacts from Google to your address book. Then, you can set up iCloud to have your contacts synced, and that should put them to iCloud. You can check by going to icloud.com and seeing if it worked. Then, I imagine you would have to disable the Google syncing with your Address Book (if I remember correctly, your computer will tell you it has to do this once you enable iCloud syncing for contacts).
