IPhoto Calendar Layout does not match preview

When I am selecting a Calendar layout to use, the chose of layout I have for 3 photos and 6 photos does not match what actually shows on the screen. When I go to select my layout, the choices are to have a big photo on top and a two little ones on the bottom. The main choice of this is whether to have text on the bottom or nothing. However, when I select it shows one big photo on the left and two little photos on the left. For the six photo the choice is to have a big photo along the bottom, a medium photo in the top left quadrant, and 4 small photos in the upper right quadrant. However, after I make my selection it shows one big tall photo on the left, one medium photo in the bottom right quadrant and then 4 small photos in the upper right quadrant. The layouts I want are what is displays on the layouts button.
Does anyone have this same problem>

Some layouts in books and calendars change based on what photos you place - and the order you place them - some do not change -- for calendars you just have to experiment - for books Liz Castro has documented how they work for you - http://www.lizcastro.com/iphotobookthemes/pmwiki.php?n=Main.HomePage

  • Theme 1_Standard layout does not match desktop screenshot layout

I am trying to implement this layout to my Robohelp Project, but I get the IPad layout instead of the previewed Desktop layout that is in the screenshot. All other Desktop layouts work fine with me this one does not work with me. It is the first one here: http://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/robohelp-screen-profiles-layouts.html
I can't seem to get the Desktop layout to work, and I need to have the printer button, I keep getting the Ipad layout  instead, any thoughts??

It sounds like you want all users to have the desktop layout regardless of which device they are using. If that is the case, just generate that layout. It is not necessary to generate all the layouts, only those you want.

  • Apple Wireless keyboard layout does not match

Hello, I bought an Apple Wireless Keyboard to use with my iPad. It connects fine but the layout is not recognised. The wireless keyboard is Azerty but in the iPad when I type I get qwerty. The touchscreen keyboard of my iPad is also azerty so I did not expect this to happen. Cannot find where to change any setting to get this fixed. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

As far as I can find there is only the one...some countries have more than one language and could have more than one layout but it may be a marketing thing with Apple...choosing the layout that will have the largest number of people using it rather than all options.

  • Primary layout does not match word document

I named an RH project with a name the programmer cannot use.
I tried to rename the project. 2 days later, I am in a mess. I
bring up RH Explorer and click on its word document icon. I change
information in the word document, compile and look at the 'View
Primary Layout'. The document showing in the layout is not the
document I just edited. How do I get the correct word document to
be compiled and appear in the primary layout screen? Note: this
happened after I lost RH and had to reinstall. See other
    posting.

My guess is that you are looking at the DOC file with a laser printer or any other printer attached in the print menu. WORD reflows documents to be consistent with the attached printer. You are probably lucky that you made it through 75 pages before there was a problem. The 6 hours is also unreasonably long for the processing of 388 pages, unless everyone might have been a graphic. But even then, that is a huge amount of time.
You are probably using PDF Maker (create PDF menu), but you should still attach the Adobe PDF printer and go through the document before printing or using PDF Maker. Also, go through the preferences in the create PDF menu to select only those things needed. Tags are good for recreating the DOC file (but it is better to not get rid of the DOC file in the first place). The other use for tags is accessibility -- that is often needed, but you might want to try turning it off to see the results.
So, bottom line is to attach the Adobe PDF printer in the print menu and then go through the DOC file to check for the format you are concerned about and see if that duplicates what you are currently getting on p. 76. If it is the same, then you are seeing a standard process by WORD.

  • Color Correction -- render does NOT match preview

Something seems very odd about Color Correction.
I select a clip that is too dark. I adjust the slider to lighten it up while previewing. It looks perfect.
Now I APPLY and the rendered video is very different. Typically now way too light.
So I adjust render, adjust render, adjust render. This seems a crazy way to do edit!
Why doesn't the render match the preview?
PS: Sometimes only part of a clip renders with the remainder being black. What's going on?

    Hi
    Not really knowing.
    a. The tool in iMovie HD 6 crude near of no use
    b. How do You judge the result. On Your Mac monitor - Not so good just an approx.
I connect my miniDV tape Camera via FireWire
Connect the analog out to a small TV/Monitor
Set in iMovie "Playback via Camera"
This picture on the TV/Monitor is very close to my final product
    c. Color-correcting tool in iMovie'08 are better than in previous versions
BUT the link "Playback to Camera" Doesn't exist any longer (MAJOR FAULTH)
    d. This made me taking the step over to FinalCut Express with Near Pro tools to
do this. And a setting can be copied and applied to several clips that need same
    correction.

  • Exported nested sequence does not match previews

I'm currently working on a project in which I've setup my main source video edits in to one master sequence. I have then nested this master sequence in to further sequences to be exported as highlight clips. When previewing the highlight clips within Premiere's work area and within the export tool all appears correct. Once the media file is exported however (no matter my codec choices) - the audio is correctly in sync with my edit but the video is massively out of sync. In fact what appears to be happening is that the video track is reset to the start of the parent master sequence. Now all of my nested highlight sequences export their video from the start of the master sequence. Any suggestions on how to address this would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks

I'm not sure I fully understand the issue.  Perhaps some screen shots?

  • Render does not match preview

OK, so I have a pretty cool effect using Photoshop in AE for a 3D object. I'd love to explain what I did, but it was a long process and I'm sure seasoned AE users can see how it was done. Basically I'm having a solid 3D textured object wiping on top of its own wireframe. In the preview screen, the effect looks fabulous. This is what I see on my preview:
    http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv313/Bubble_Bobble_Bibble_Babble/Dwm2010-08-2912-23-42 -83.jpg
However, rendering the first couple seconds, gives me this:
    http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv313/Bubble_Bobble_Bibble_Babble/Dwm2010-08-2912-27-10 -04.jpg
You can see the bottom portion is staying wireframed and I just can't figure out why. Anyone have a solution?
    Thanks for any help.

There's no need to learn a 3D program to do any of that, but of course you can always try Blender, which is free, after all. For your specific project I was thinking that you might
    save a duplicate PSD
replace the diffuse textures (bricks etc.) with solid, pure colors
set the rendering mode of this to "Unlit Texture"
    import into AE
link the camera of the resulting comp to the original comp
use the techniques in the article to derive region mattes by using the second comp as a 2D layer in your otehr comp
use the mattes as adjustment layers to control the aspects of the look of your scene
When doing so, you could e.g. apply a Matte Choker or Minimax effect to control the thickness of the wireframe lines in relation to the colored fills. The more you separate the workflow, i.e. also create the wireframe as a separate layer, the more you can control all aspects.

  • Download does not match preview

Why doesn't my finished, downloaded form look like the preview?  My download appears to have page breaks within the document while the preview shows the information on a single page.  The single page looks much nicer.

    Hi;
Basically there are two "Views" in FormsCentral to design the form for "Web" and/or "PDF", this FAQ is about designing for PDF: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2655
You will want to change the View to "Page View" to see the page breaks that will be added to PDF and then you can define your own "explicit" page breaks.  You can also change the paper size in "Form Setup" (right most button along the upper toolbar above your form) if you want to have a "longer" page (you can set "Legal" size, or custom).
    Thanks,

  • Keyboard layout does not matc keyboard issue

HI. After recovering control of my 10.5.8 Mac - lost admin password - I find my keyboard layout does not match my real one.
Actually it never did, I had to buy a new keyboard after original was damaged and the new one was for Snow Leopard systems, not my 10.5.
So there was a slight discrepancy already there but minor enough for me to not bother about changing it.
But now it,s way out of what it should be and this is difficult to write with punctuation.
Registration process to regain control after lost admin pass issue> chose - English - as language
My hard keyboard is spanish - slight difference only and which has never caused a headache
I have British English first, and Spanish second, as my preferred input languages.
In my KB input menu I have British, Spanish, and additionally entered Spanish ISO -  *this was what I used before losing admin password, and also US English.
There is no Change Keyboard Option in sys prefs - kb and mouse pane.
There is no KB setup assistant.
I have tried various layouts with no luck.
I need to get back as close to possible as a normal layout, that is, all punctuation symbols must match where they are on the keyboard, e,g asterisk to asterisk, etc.
As far as I can tell the only difference with a normal English or US english keyboard is in addition of one extra letter - the n, with accent.
    Thanks for any help

Apple Spanish keyboards should normally work right when you have chosen Spanish ISO in the "flag" menu at the top right of the screen.  Could you tell us which keys are not correct when you do that?
If your keyboard does not match, one fix would be create a custom layout using
    http://scripts.sil.org/ukelele
    It's really pretty easy.

  • Color does not match printing in preview

Printing a photo directly from iPhoto ('08) does not match the color on screen. Using an Epson 2200.
The colors are dark and saturated. Maybe the problem is setting color management in the advanced dialog box- I have it set to: "No Color Adjustment" as per Epson.
Is there a setting that is recommended? I can't find any help in help.
I'm well aware of color management problems printing via Photoshop with the Epson printer.

    Hi McJPP,
You're using one of the built in color setups for Photoshop, so no big deal there. Since you have your monitor properly calibrated and profiled, ColorSync shouldn't be having an issue handling the difference between the image's color space and your monitor's. Questions though. Is the image RGB? Does it have an embedded profile? If so, is it Adobe RGB 1998? I'm assuming that it does since that's your working RGB color space in Photoshop.
The grab on the left is the preview copy using:
By preview, do you mean the Preview button on the print dialogue box at the bottom left next the the PDF button? I'm guessing yes since I can produce the same kind of result. It's a bit hard to explain, but I'll try.
I took a simple grayscale image and made it RGB. I then did the same thing you did. Left image is Photoshop handling color for an Epson Stylus Pro 4000, using a profile I made for a DuPont paper. Then clicking the Preview button when the print dialogue comes up. Right image is letting the printer handle color and clicking Preview. The result is below.
Believe it or not, there's nothing wrong. Photoshop (more accurately, ColorSync) is showing you what it had to do to the pixel color values to adjust for how the inks perform on the chosen paper. The end result, with proper profiles, is that the printed image looks like what you see in Photoshop regardless of how it shows in Preview mode. The Epson driver doesn't make this visible cue even though you've turned ColorSync on there, so it simply shows you the same thing you see in Photoshop, even though it's making the same adjustment to the pixel color values.
You should get essentially the same final output no matter which way you print the image.

  • Brush preview size does not match brush stroke

  • Cropping preview does not match output, constrained sizes.

I have two separate problems with the Crop tool. The first is that the crop preview does not match the what shows up after I exit crop mode.
Screen shot of to the preview: tinyurl.com/o9qxcy
    After hitting "done": tinyurl.com/prtsrw
What is really strange is that I can work around this by expanding the crop size to almost the full size (less ~1 pixel off the bottom) and iMovie crops to the width of the original clip. If I expand it to full size of the preview area the crop still slices to the width, but it is then centered.
The second problem is that cropping will not let me expand the crop beyond a certain size. I have no work-around for this.
Screenshot of the max size I can select with the crop tool: tinyurl.com/pjqjno
Both of these happen both the project area and the clips drawer.

  • Your credit card does not match your bank's records

your credit card does not match your bank's records. appears at purchase in itunes store.
2 months with no solution on this. Nothing has changed with my bank at all. Yet apple was able to bill the same card for my mobile me acct. so the card does in fact work! I emailed and got what I already knew. see below, then my reply.
    Dear Eric,
You can change your iTunes Store billing information at any time. When you update your credit card number or billing address through the iTunes Store, any equivalent information you might use with MobileMe, iPhoto, Aperture, or the Apple Store online is also updated.
To update your billing address or credit card number, follow these steps:
    1) Make sure you're using the latest version of iTunes. It can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download
Eric, installing the latest version of iTunes will not affect your library or any items in your account that you haven't downloaded.
    2) Click this link: http://phobos.apple.com/accountSummary
iTunes will automatically launch and the sign-in dialog will appear.
    3) If you are not already signed in, you will need to enter your iTunes Store account name and password and then click the Account Info button.
    4) On your Apple Account Information page, click Edit Payment Information
Make the necessary changes. Your billing address should be exactly the same as the address on your credit card statement and with the United States Postal Service (click "Find a ZIP Code" at http://www.usps.com and follow the onscreen instructions). This is important, because even differences in punctuation, abbreviation, and capitalization can cause payment errors that might prevent you from using the iTunes Store.
    5) When all of the information is up to date, click Done.
When you update your billing information, the iTunes Store places an authorization hold on your credit card to verify your account information. You might see this authorization request on your online statement. This is not an actual charge; it is simply a test to confirm that your credit card account is active and has credit available to accommodate transactions.
Authorization requests are automatically removed from your account by your financial institution. The amount of time it takes to remove authorization requests varies by financial institution. If you have any questions about the way your financial institution handles authorization requests, please contact their customer-service department.
Thank you for your time. If you have any other questions or concerns, regarding your iTunes Store account, Eric, please feel free to reply to this email. Have a great day.
    Sincerely,
    Timothy

    My reply
I've read the support pages through and through and have gone through all of these steps in the past. Nothing on my end has changed. This card has been used for approx three years now, never to have been edited. As stated... In the midst of all of this difficulty, you were able to bill the same card for my mobile me subscription. Which should technically not gone through due to the supposed billing info not matching my bank's records! So quite simply, my card does work, this is something on your end, not my bank.
And I did however change the type case to match my statement to no avail. This never made a difference in the past, but I tried it regardless.
After attempting things for two months, I am growing tired of trying to spend my money on Apple. I will try one more suggestion if one is available. After that, I have had great success with the amazon store and may have to flip over to them. My time is way too valuable to be troubleshooting a problem I did not create.
any specific help would be appreciated (please do not copy and paste tips from the support pages... been there)
    Eric

As a follow up to my last post, I thought I would offer you my customer service experience as I am hoping you can avoiding going through what I've been through and that this will save you some time.
I'm listing the discourse chronologically for your convenience:
Specific request: My credit card or billing information is not accepted
    Details:
iTunes says my credit card information does not match my bank information and will not let me make purchases. I have updated my account information and I still cannot make purchases. I get the same message that my card does not match my bank's information- which it does.
    Please help.
    TrackID: 1--------------
    Dear ----------,
Welcome to Apple iTunes Store Customer Support. My name is Snehashish.
I am sorry to hear that you haven't been able to make purchases on the iTunes Store with your credit card. I know this is frustrating, and I will try to provide as much information as I can to help you resolve it.
-----------, upon checking your account I find your credit card will be expired after this month. So you have to change it then. I suggest you to change it now or contact your credit card company as it is declined by iTunes.
The iTunes Store has been unable to verify an authorization from your credit card company. There are several possible reasons for this:
    - Your credit card company's servers may have been busy. Trying again later may resolve the issue.
    - Your card may not have been activated yet. If so, you will need to activate it.
    - You may need to call your credit card company before the authorization is approved.
    - You may need to ensure that you correctly located the credit card's security code. To see instructions for locating the security code, choose View My Account from the iTunes Store menu, sign in to your account, click Edit Payment Information, and then click the "What is this?" link next to the Security Code field.
    - Your billing name or address does not match the address listed on your credit card statement. Any discrepancy in punctuation, abbreviation, or capitalization can cause errors, which might prevent you from purchasing from the iTunes Store. If you moved, or if your zip code changed recently, ask your credit card company to make sure its records are up to date and match exactly what you are entering as your billing information.
--------, please follow these steps to confirm or update your account information:
    1) Go to the My Apple ID site at:
    http://appleid.apple.com/
    2) If the site is not displayed in your preferred language, click the Change Language link in the upper-right corner, type the name of your language in the field that appears, then click the Save button.
    3) Click the "Manage your account" link.
    4) Type your iTunes Store account name (which is your Apple ID) in the Apple ID field, type your password in the password field, then click the Sign In button.
    5) Click "Addresses" in the left column.
    6) Confirm or edit your information.
    7) Click "Phone Numbers" on the left. Make sure the area codes and phone numbers are entered correctly in their respective fields.
    8) Click Save Changes.
Once your information is updated, try placing an order on the iTunes Store again. If the iTunes Store still cannot obtain an authorization for your card, it means that your billing information is still incorrect, either with your credit card company or with its verification system, which may be handled by another company.
Fortunately, you may be able to make iTunes Store purchases with another payment method. For example, if PayPal accepts your credit card, you can use your PayPal account to buy from the iTunes Store. If you need more information about using PayPal on the iTunes Store, please let me know.
------, I hope this information is helpful. Thank you for your interest; I am pleased that you want to be an iTunes Store customer. Have a great day!
    Sincerely,

    Hello again,

    Greetings Snehashish,
When I wrote my original ticket it was to address the issue of the fact I had already updated my credit card information and I was still receiving the error message of "my credit card not matching my bank information" in iTunes. Giving me instructions on how to update my account information was not helpful because I had already taken that step. So, no, my problem remains unresolved and I am unable to make any purchases in iTunes or update my iPhone.
Luckily, the item I was looking to purchase was available on Amazon digitally so I went ahead and bought it there without any problem whatsoever with my credit card- furthering the mystery and the enigma that is iTunes rejection of my credit card.
Please send the next step to resolve my issue or please forward my ticket to someone who can resolve this for me.
    Thank you,

    Hello again Snehashish,
My address is confirmed and matches my bank account. I followed the steps as you directed with deleting my information downloading the free application and then re-entering my payment information. I continue get the error message that my credit card information does not match my bank's records. I have as of today called the bank and confirmed twice that my banking address is correct. The error is not happening on the banking side of the equation.

Despite already having the current version of iTunes, I re-downloaded the program and installed it on my computer. I logged into the link you sent me. I entered in my banking (again and without mistake) information exactly as it is on my billing information. I have now entered my credit card information correctly on iTunes repeatedly- it has not deviated nor changed and there has never been a mistake in my data entry. I have used this credit card at other locations and online stores without error and my banking and credit card information is correct.
I entered a credit card I DO NOT want to use in conjunction with my iTunes account and it was accepted without incident or error message. The problem is that the card I do want to use, that I NEED to use to make purchases on iTunes is not accepted. Both cards are issued through the same bank- one is debit and one is credit and they both link to the same bank account with the same home address. The debit card is being rejected and the credit card is accepted. My problem is not my address nor the account number as both have been entered correctly multiple times. iTunes is rejecting my particular card even though it is working and matches my bank information. This is the card I have always used to make purchases on iTunes and this error started when my old card expired and I attempted to update my account.
Every time I re-enter my credit card and try to make a purchase and I always get the following message:
"There are errors or omissions in the information. Please correct the indicated items: Your credit card does not match your bank's records. Please enter a US credit card and a matching billing address."
I have reset, re-downloaded, and re-entered everything on my end multiple times resulting in the same error from iTunes. I want to know what is happening with my account. If you do not have a solution then please escalate this ticket and please put me in contact with someone who can help me.
    Thank you for your time,
I found my solution in the Apple Support Community. It had nothing to do with my information being incorrect. I do not require your assistance any longer.
My issue resolution was actual very simple and came from this page. iTunes has a bug where it will not accept your information but if you add your credit card under you account in the Apple Store and CONFIRM then it will appear in your iTunes account automatically. I could have saved hours of email, calls to the bank and stupid angst if I had looked this up instead of TRYING to use Apple Customer Support. I've learned my lesson. I just want you to know that iTunes is bugged and broken in this respect and no matter how many times you enter your information IT DOESN'T WORK. I hope this helps someone else.
Apple please tell your customer support people how to actually help instead of having them paste in worthless form letters on how to use a credit card with iTunes. Obviously it iTunes that is broken.
    PLEASE FIX.

  • Help! Order of photos in a Folder does not match order of albums

I have seen dozens of threads on folders and albums, sorting them etc. However did not quite find an answer to this one.
The question is : Why the order of photos in a Folder does not match with the order of Albums I have created underneath the Folder?
In other words I created a floder and placed within the folder a few albums we will call G, K, C ...etc in the chronological order in which I want to show the pictures. The pictures within the album are not strictly chronological. ( I will explain more if this is an issue)
Next when I click on the Folder, I notice that the photos are grouped by the corresponding Album which is what they should be, however their(photos) order did not correspond to that of the Albums. In other words, in the Folder view, I see photos of K first and then may be G and then may be C. I am not able to change that order to G, K, C..the way I want. This will mess up the slideshow for me.
For clarity, I created each album simply by dragging corresponding event down into the Folder. The events are sorted by date and ascending in View>Sort Events.
    I appreciate any suggestions please!
    Thanks

    Try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Lion, Mt. Lion or Mavericks delete the contents the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
    Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto, reset its preferences and try the slideshow again.
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
If you're running Mavericks, 10.9,  go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.
