Iphoto deleted my book I made last night!! please help

I built a book in I photo last night and this morning I open I photo to show my girlfriend and it disappeared.
How can I get my book back?
Does this always happen?
Can someone give me any advice??
please help me..so much work goes into one of those to have it just disappear

For some reason the book did not get saved. Did iPhoto quit on you last night?
Yes, this has happened to other users, usually when iPhoto quits or crashes while they are making the book. You should highlight the book and make a duplicate every once in awhile to force iPhoto to save it while you are working on it.
I don't know of any way to get it back, I wish I did.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

What version of iPhoto are you using? 9.6 is the current version.
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.iPhoto.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

To delete files from your external HDD, attach it to your MBP and drag the unwanted files to trash and then empty trash.
Then you select the files that you want to transfer by 'drag and drop' to the external HDD and trash the files on your MBP.

it has been a while since we have last spoke, I would like to let you know, I am still working on getting used to the switch from windows to a Mac/Apple system. I do have a new question for you, I did purchase In Design CS5.5 through journeyed.com through Cuyahoga Community College of which I attend as a student, is there a way to purchase an online book through iTunes to learn that as well? Also, you know me, the struggling student, I would also, when and if the book can be purchased through the iTunes, would need to know if you do know of a much easier book for struggling students like myself and at a reasonable price as well for the In Design CS5.5 program. Our campus bookstore had closed early, and, so did the colleges library and our local library here where I do live, so, I cannot go to either place to purchase a book or to take out a book, plus cash funds are low at this moment as well but, I do have money left on the iTunes account to use, if it can be used. So, can it be used, the iTunes money, towards finding a low priced online book? I am in great need of assistance as I have a project due for my one course for this Tuesday, September 4, 2012.

I have a cable 3 broadband connection with 100mbps download and 2.33mbps upload. On Windows 7 Home premium SP1 system on my desktop.
My internet connection is personal connection.
Since posting this issue I have uninstalled my creative cloud software and reinstalled it, and it seems to working now, with the exception of having to always sign in to my account all the time.

What version of iPhoto?
Assuming iPhoto '11 in the iPhoto preferences ==> accounts delete your account and re-enter it
Or IMHO a better solution is to set Apple Mail as the email client in the iPhoto prefeences

Airport driving me mad...please help!!

I recently got a macbook and an airport to connect to the internet. Some days it works fine but some days for no apparent reason the macbook just doesn't find the airport. There are other computers connected to it and they work fine so it must be the Macbook. I've experienced the same problem at school and places where I know I should be able to find 7-8 connections usually. Some times it works again after a simple restart and some times it can take hours before it works again. Please help!
(I apologise clumsy description, I'm not a computer person at all)

There are multiple threads on the exact same topic, but anyhow, here's a possible solution that i posted in some of the others:
A guy I e-mailed with last night who had the exact same problem as I described above seems to have stumbled upon a possible solution to the problem!
He downloaded the 293 mb Combo Updater (Intel) found here: http://wsidecar.apple.com/cgi-bin/nph-reg3rdpty2.pl/product=11797&cat=1&platform =osx&method=sa/MacOSXUpdCombo10.4.8Intel.dmg
He had taken a look in /Library/Receipts and found that the previous update by Software Update was only about 9 mb big, so he tried this update and his problem disappeared!
My own airport has mysteriously started working again as well, but I installed the update just to be sure.
I hope it works out for you guys!

Ai CS4 Open from last folder PLEASE HELP!!!

First time poster so be gentle!
I am running CS4 on Leopard 10.5.8 an when i 'File/open' Illistrator defaults to my Documents folder instead of the last folder used. Photoshop and Indesign are fine so its an Illustrator problem. I tried deleting the preferences folder but the problems is still there.
Please help its driving me nuts!!!!!

You have a permission problem on whatever folder you work and the program falls back to the default folder. May relate to the inadvertently locked files issues which have been discussed at length in this forum, so maybe do a search. Other than rthat simply check those permissions and run tools like OnyX to straighten out things.

IPhoto 11 crashes every time it opens. Please help

Every time I open iPhoto I get a warning prompting me to repair my library. When the repair is complete iPhoto crashes. I cannot use it at all. Please Help.

Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

£750 bill from Vodafone as iPhone sent 20GB last month, please help!

I have just received a shock data bill from vodafone. Apparently my iPhone has been using between 500 MB - 1GB a day for the last month.
I have had the phone for almost 18 months and cannot work out why this has suddenly happened. I have not downloaded a new app or changed my usage at all.
I checked the phone and it states that it has sent 20.7 GB of data, and received 1.7 since last reset (October).
I only use the phone for calls, texts, and social networking. I have wifi at home and barely use cellular data.
I contacted Vodafone as I wish to dispute the bill (I am happy to pay for what I have used, but I cannot see how I have used this!)
They state that if I can show it is a software issue, they will write off the £750. At first they suggested I send it to them and they would check if it was software or a fault, until they realised it was out of warranty, then they said they can't look at it unless I pay £150.
They suggested giving apple a call, but I looked on website and to call them will be £25 and I am not sure if it will resolve the issue.
What can I do? The phone is still on iOS 6.0, I realise the data issue could possibly be resolved by updating, but am reluctant to do this before the phone is checked out (if I can get apple to check it out). For the time being I have restricted all data to wifi.
Is it likely to be a fault/software issue? I have not sent any files anywhere etc. If I drive to my nearest apple store (at least an hour away) will they look at it/are they likely to help/admit it is software and give me some proof for vodafone?
Please help!!

Contact the Apple store directly (or Verizon) as Apple (nor Verizon for that matter) monitor these forums.

Book i downloaded wont open, please help !

I downloaded a book on iTunes. Its in the .epub format and i really cant open it. I downloaded Calibre but it says my book is protected and wont open. I put the book on a Kobo but it doesnt work either.
What to do ?!? Please help, thanks
