Iphoto load failure

Iphoto mysteriously stopped loading. The photos are still in the finder but iphoto doesn't import (or indeed do anything) except say'loading' when it doesn't. I was considering reinstalling it from the original OSX disc. Is this the best option or is it a risky idea? Many thanks.....

reinstalling iPhoto is not going to fix anything.
Here is the recommended first aid
Most likely because of updates or installs you need to:
1. Restart your computer to repair the directory if needed.
2. Run "Repair Permissions" from Disk Utility located in your Applications>Utilties Folder.
3. Try iPhoto again. If it doesn't work then QUIT iPhoto.
4. Your iPhoto preferences file may be corrupted.
(MAKE SURE you QUIT iPhoto first)
You will find it in your Home directory:
(Home/your account) >Library>Preferences>com.apple.iPhoto.plist
Remove or trash the preference (.plist file) and restart iPhoto.
iPhoto will open like it was the first time
If it still doesn't work go on to these remedies, in order.
5. Bad Album data?
Old Toad says:
1 - move the Albums folder and the AlbumData.xml file from the iPhoto library folder in your Pictures folder to the desktop.
2 - launch iPhoto. It if launches successfully you probably have a corrupt album.
To locate the bad "apple", pun intended, do the following:
1 - move one of the individual album folders and it's associated data file into the new Albums folder that was created in the iPhoto Library folder.
2 - launch iPhoto. If it's successful do the same with the next album folder and data file. If iPhoto doesn't launch successfully, that's a bad one and remove it and the data file.
3 - repeat for each individual album folder in the old Albums folder.
6. Rebuild Library
QUIT IPHOTO FIRST
Relaunch while holding down the key combination below for your version
Option+Shift IPHOTO 2
CommandOptionShift IPHOTO 4
Command+Option IPHOTO 5

  • SSIS Package Load Failure and is missing Execute SQL Task in Toolbox

Also, BIDS closes after right-clicking the toolbox and selecting “Choose Items”.
I’ve tried several ways to fix these issues with no success.
I’m running SSIS/SSMS/SQL Server 2008 R2 (but not running an SQL instance on my PC) on a Windows XP with Service Pack 3 workstation. I get the following errors:
    WHEN OPENING BIDS:
I get 2 errors titled “Package Load Failure”. They both reference ‘Visual Studio Explorers and Designers Package’ as being what failed to load. The first message references GUID 8D8529D3-625D-4496-8354-3DAD630ECC1B. The second references GUID AA612177-A69A-4391-B2F4-17F8A88F4BBA
. They both mention contacting the package vendor, but I haven’t got any Add-ins loaded so I’m not sure what that means exactly. They also both ask if I’d like to skip loading the package in the future.
    ONCE BIDS IS OPEN:
No error messages appear here. There is no ‘Execute SQL Task’ in the toolbox for Control Flows. Also, if I attempt to open a project containing this object (Execute SQL Task), I get this error in a modal window:
    TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio

    The package might be corrupted.
See the Error List for details.
    BUTTONS:

Finally, when I attempt to add the Execute SQL Task via the Tools menu, “Choose Toolbox Items” selection, I do get the tabbed box for adding things. However, they only come up after issuing this error:
The following assemblies are installed SDK assemblies but could not be shown in the customize toolbox dialog because they are missing one or more components. Please make sure that all necessary libraries are available:
    Microsoft.SqlServer.SqlCEDest.dll
    Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.CollectorTasks.dll
    Microsoft.SqlServer.SQLTask.dll
    System.Data.SqlServerCe.dll
    Microsoft.Synchronization.Data.SqlServerCe.dll
(above dll repeated at bottom of message)
After this message, I have my choice of .NET Framework Compnents. When I select COM Components, those come up with no problem. The WPF Components tab generates the same dll error above. The Maintenance tab is empty. The SSIS Data Flow Items tab loads fine,
as does the SSIS Control Flow Items tab – but there’s no Execute SQL Task there either.
If you open the toolbox (on a new project, with a project loaded, or without a project loaded) and right-click, then select “Choose Items”, the entire application quickly closes. This “closing behavior” is the same thing you get if you attempt to add toolbox
items through either the Tools menu or the right-click method when you launch BIDS in SafeMode.
    In an effort to fix this – I’ve rolled back the .NET Framework version to 3.0 and reinstalled back up to 4; I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled SQL Server 2008 R2 shared services as well as the entire application; I’ve cleared the .tbd files from my user profile;
and I’ve run several things from the command line (devenv.exe /resetuserdata, /setup, /resetskippkgs, etc.). Lastly – I’ve applied every Service Pack and update applicable to my PC (ok, it belongs to my employer – but no one here has been able to figure this
    out either).
After having worked this for several days now and, I think, exhausting every available avenue from search engines – I turn to you. Please let me know if you can help. Also, I can provide any additional
files or information you may require.

  • Package Load Failure message in VS 2005 and Error: WIJ 20002

After installing BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 .NET SDK when ever I open any project in VS 2005 I get the error message (the same happened on other system as well)
    Package Load Failure
Package 'BusinessObjects.Enterprise.Vsip.BOEVsPackage, BOEVsPackage, Version=12.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=... has failed to load properly (GUID = {...}). Please contact package vendor for assistance. Application restart is recommended, due to possible environment corruption. Would you like to disable loading this package in the future? You may use 'devenv /resetskippkgs' to re-enable package loading.
I did try 'devenv /resetskippkgs' but still get this error. Any idea reagarding this.
Next issue using the code sample provided in the site to create webi document by passing the universe id gives error message :
"The Web Intelligence Java Report Panel cannot connect to the server. close the report panel and try to connect again or see your BO Administrator. (Error: WIJ 20002)."
The Java version I have is 6 and I checked the Universe is not locked.
Need help to identify the cause for both errors.

Try the following as posted on another forum:
    Two solutions:
    1.  -Go in to the Tools menu in .NET, and choose Import and Export Settings.
        - From the dialogue box, choose Reset All Settings and follow the steps
    2. If you have installed VS.NET to a drive other than the C drive, copy all files from the folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE to the same folder on the drive where .NET is installed, ie :
    D:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE

  • IPhoto loads but stalls and will not show photos. With Yosemite

After upgrading to Yosemite recently suddenly iPhoto loads, shows list of albums but will not open albums, just get that whirly thing forever.

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Package Load Failure VS 2008 Architect & 11.1.0.6.20

I have a virtual machine running Windows Server 2003, IIS, and Visual Studio 2008 Team Architect.
When I try to install "ODAC 11.1.0.6.20 with Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio" I get an error "Could not start the OracleMTSRecoveryService service on Local Computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fassion." I hit "Ignore" and the installation completes.
Then when I run Visual Studio and select "Run SQL*Plus Script" I get:
    Package Load Failure
Package 'Oracle Develper Tools for Visual Studio .Net' has failed to load properly...
I have uninstalled and reinstalled without the MTS Recovery Service and get the same error.
Any suggestions on getting this to work?

I started visual studio with logging turned on. Here are the results from the log file:

  • Package Load Failure, no beta versions of anything

    Hi,
I get a "Package Load Failure" when starting VS2008. I've tried everything I can
possibly think of, including reading about the problem in this forum, but nothing
helps. The installation has installed five different asseblies correctly (as far as
I can see) in the GAC, two for Oracle.DataAccess, and one each for the others.
To avoid problems, I made completely fresh install of Windows Vista Ultimate, then
I installed all security updates from MS, then VS 2008, then ODT 1110620. No betas
has been installed at any point.
I got one error message during install of ODT, "The request to star the service
OracleMTSRecoveryService has timed out", but I dont think that should matter for
    this problem.
Are there any other things to try to get ODT to work? I would appreciate any help I can get.
The guid in the error message when staring VS 2008 is "D601BB95-E404-4A8E-9F24-5C1A462426CE".

    Hi

It is by the way VS 2008 (not 2005), if that makes any difference. I did not try to reregister the assemblies since they seemed OK (but my path to them are a bit different not c:\Oracle\Product, but c:\Oracle\Developer\Product because Developer is the users username (default with Oracle installer), but I did the 'devenv /setup' but that did not help.

  • "Add image to iPhoto library" without iPhoto loading up?

Hi guys, is this possible? I like the option to just throw any photo I see into my iPhoto library but it's annoying that iPhoto loads up to do it.
    Regards,
    spriter

Well given that we don't know what version of OS X you're on, what version of Safari you're using and it's the iPhoto forum and not the Safari one, the best I can suggest is that you try repair permissions with Disk Utility

  • Iphoto loads when i connect my camera, then sits there looking at me :)

Hi everyone - I have a Fuji finepix S5500 and on my old Ibook or mac mini (iphoto5) when i connected the camera iphoto loaded and prompted me to import.. now with this new mac and Iphoto6 wehn i connect the camera it loads Iphoto, shows a new drive on the decktop but Iphoto does nothing, I have to manuallt tell it to import and from where..
when first ran it asked if i wanted to auto import and i said yes..
    any ideas??
the only thing i can think of is that being an Intel system I cannot run flip4mac, the program that allowed me to access the movies from the camera, and as such Iphoto freaks out at the site of movies it doesnt know..
now another member on these forums told me how to get flip4mac working on an intel system but it made finder crash when trying to browse a directory with these movies so i removed it..
so might there be another solution?
    Thanks
    Richard

Solution - Cleared the AVI files from the camera and left only pictures, now everything happy..
    Thanks anyway

  • Pager from Data Load Failure

Everynight we are loading the data into BW Production system  using Process Chains.
When there is data load failure, is there a way we get information on Pager for immediate action.
    Suggestions are welcome.

Easiest way (at least the way I've always set it up)is if you have a text pager is have it e-mail the pager.  The BASIS team will need to set up the SMTP service in ICM and a job to schedule the e-mails to be sent.  You'll also need to set up the e-mail address in the user's SU01 info.  There are several notes on how to set this up.
You can also set up a program that pages you but requires an exteral modem to dial up, etc.  SMTP service is already there and pretty easy to integrate into your company's e-mail.

  • How do i fix 'error; texture load failure' problems for an online game?

i play chaoticgame.com online. it currently has no admin staff to help. the problem is that the website pages do not fully load. there is a function i can access that shows me all the errors im getting, most are- error; texture load failure and error; failed downloading....
this is a recent problem. also if i access the website via iphone using wifi from my home connection i get the same errors, so i dont know if this is a interent connection problem because ive had no other problems with websites.
i believe it has something to do with texture memory?

    Hi Lorne.V.,
How exactly are you installing NI DAQmx on the target machines?  Even if you include the DAQmx merge module in your build, you will still need to install DAQmx on the target machine separately.
Can you also confirm that the DAQmx.dll is installed in the same directory on both the development and deployment machines?  And that you have the same version of DAQmx on both machines?

  • Feed loading failure

Hey folks. Is any one else getting this constant error message in Adobe Media Player?
Probably since the last update I downloaded and installed a few days ago for my Adobe CS4 Master Collection, I've been unable to view any videos on
Adobe Media Player. From the home screen, I would click on one of the Product Quick Picks in the right column, then select an item from the results area and I'd get hit with this error message "Feed loading failure." It doesn't matter what video collection I select. I can't get past this error to view a video.
I really like and need ADOBE TV and the wealth of information offered there. I hope there is a quick fix to this sudden problem.
    Any ideas? Thanks,
    +Ralston

I'm still getting this message no matter where I am, what network I'm on, or what video I attempt to access. Does anyone know of a fix for this message. I've asked a friend of mine at work if he get's this error and he does--the same way I do.
At home, I'm on a totally different computer attached to a totally different network and still nothing but Feed loading failure for me.
Why the error and what's the fix?
    Thanks

    Hi vijayakumar sbramani,
As this seems to be your first question posted on SCN forums, just wanted to let you know that it would be good to choose the correct forum from the list and then post your question...only then can you expect to get proper solutions to your issue.
For now I am moving this thread into the BI forums.

  • IPhoto loading

I have been having problems with iPhoto loading I run an iMac 2.5GHz i5 with 10.7.2.  I have reinstalled the program, have downloaded iPhoto Lib Manager basically everything I have found about this problem but still nothing. Its can"t see my photos, It wont load a new Library, everytime I try it just sends all the menu's in iPhoto gray. I have posted before so getting to the end of the line with it, hope these someone with this problem and a solution. THKS

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
    What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

    Dear Experts,
I had a data load failure today, where i am getting data from the datasource which was built on Infoset Query.
we had a source system upgrade and when i checked Infoset query in the development of Source sytem  im getting the below message :
    "Differences in field EKES-XBLNR
Output Length in Dictionary : 035
Output Length in Infoset : 020
Message was saying Adjust the INFOSET,I dont have authorisation to create the transport in the source system.I requested the respective person to Adjust the Infoset and also to regenerate the same and move to production system.
I think this will solve my problem,Please correct me if am wrong.
    Regards,
    Sunil Kumar.B

    Hi Suman,
i am still facing the problem even after adjusting the Infoset. The problem is we are facing the short dump with length mismatch.
when i checked the Infoset we are taking the field xblnr from table EKES and data element for teh field was XBLNR_LONG(char-35) but when i checked the datasource in RSA2 the dataelement for XBLNR was showing as BBXBL(char20).
i think this was causing the problem and i checked in SQ02 we will take the field directly from the table and how there is chance to change the dataelement.
Please help me to correct the same.
