Iphoto on computer wont connect to Iphone with ios 8.3
I have Iphoto 7.1.5 on my Imac desktop with Moc OS10.6.8
Just installed IOS 8.3 on my Iphone 5 and now when I plug the Iphone into the computer Iphoto on the computer can not access photos on the Iphone
I had this same problem; iPhoto 7.1.5 kept "cycling" (blinking) between attempting to load the photos and giving up. Your solution worked! Go figure! This is the only mention of this particular problem, with a solution, that I could find anywhere. Maybe everyone else has upgraded to iLife '11, which costs $49, or upgraded to 10.7.x, 10.8.x, 10.9.x, or 10.10.x, any of which requires a brand new Mac -- I'm probably due.

Either my Iphone wont connect to itunes or my computer wont connect to iphone! My computer makes an unusual noise as I plug in a apple device, This wont let itunes pick up my devices. I have gone though all the proceedures online in which have failed. But when uninstalling Itunes, Apple mobile device was deleted in which then windows recognised my iphone and it started to charge which it did not do when I previously plugged it in. It that fails,
DFU mode[1] is a state that you can put your iPhone into where it can interface with iTunes but does not load the iPhone operating system or boot loader (this is what really differs DFU mode from recovery mode). DFU stands for Device Firmware Update.
While connected to PC, running iTunes, hold down Home and Power( button on upper right edge) button for exactly 8 seconds.
Release the power button. Restore message will appear in iTunes. The device will be recognized by iTunes, but no display will appear on the device itself. The lack of a display on the device will verify that it is in dfu mode.

I had to purchase two OS X system upgrades, snow leopard and mountain lion, just to connect my new iPhone 5 and somewhere between uploading iPhone 4S pics to iCloud some important pics disappeared then installed new iTunes and purchased new iPhoto all just to connect new iPhone 5 and now half my apps won't work. No Rosetta to make apps work but its not as simple as upgrading apps and missing lost dogs pics from iCloud...HELP!
File a complaint with Apple for not giving adequate warning before upgrading OS X that it would render PPC programs dead.
That someone at Apple said requiring the iPhone 5 to have 10.8 (10.6.8 is the minimum actually) and in order to remain a loyal Apple customer they need to fix this mess and revert your machine and software back to 10.6.8
You see, 10.6.8 would have ran your iPhone 5 and ran your PPC based software, so whoever told you to upgrade to 10.8 was wrong and they need to fix your machine.
It can be reverted to 10.6.8 yourself.

I downloaded itunes onto my new computer, i connected my iphone during the updating process itunes failed and i lost all my purchased music from my iphone and can no longer retrieve them. I would like to know how i can reinstate the lost music please.
When you are done with this issue, consider the computer back at the office may still
have access to your iTunes account, and it should be de-auhorized. You can do that
remotely, but be sure you carefully do not mess up your other computer iTunes libraries.

I have bought itunes songs on an ipad with my daughter apple id. i would like to back them up on the same computer I sync my iphone with using my apple id but they will not transfer. Both iphone and ipad have only been synced on the computer mentioned since they were purchased. Is there any way to get the ipad music transferred to the computer?
And they were definitely purchased from the iTunes store, they show on the account's purchase history (Store > View Account on a computer's iTunes, or you can view the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com) ?
You could potentially log into the account on that computer's iTunes (Store > Sign Out to log out of your account, that will then change to a Store > Sign In option) and redownload them by clicking on the id towards the top right of the iTunes screen and Purchased on the popup :
But that will potentially tie that computer to that account for 90 days : Manage your associated devices in iTunes - Apple Support
Or do you have a different computer that you could redownload them on and then copy them over to that computer via a flash drive or memory card, and then add them to its iTunes via File > Add To Library ? -
