IPhoto synced pictures in iOS devices

I used to import the pictures taken from iPhone 4 to iPhoto on my mac. After importing I used to delete those pictures from camera roll through iPhoto in mac. After editing those imported pictures in iPhoto on my mac, I used to sync back to my iPhone through itunes. But recently my mac hard disk failed and replaced with a new one and I don't have any backup. All those pictures synced from iPhoto through itunes are still on my iPhone 4. But my iPhoto on my mac is empty. I just want to sync or copy them back to my iPhoto on my mac. I tried to copy manualy those pictures by connecting my iphone to windows computer. But its showing only those pictures in the camera roll which are recently taken.
Please help me in solving this problem.
Thankyou

That's probably because the other pictures were deleted when you're hard disk failed. You should'vr made a backup

How do I sync iBooks on iOS devices when I create an ebook using iBooks Author?

    Hello Ottoni1,
Thank you for the question.  You can preview the book you created in iBooks Author in iBooks on your iPad using the following steps:
Preview a book or a chapter on iPad
    Connect iPad to your Mac.
On the Home screen of your iPad, tap iBooks.
In iBooks Author, do either of the following:
Preview a book: Click the Preview button in the toolbar, or choose File > Preview.
Preview a chapter: Select the chapter you want to preview in the sidebar, then choose File > Preview Current Section Only.
Note:   To preview on an iPad running iOS 7 or later, you need iTunes 11.1 or later installed on your Mac.

  • How To : Sync playlists from iOS device back to itunes - Windows

How To : How To : Sync playlists from iOS device back to itunes - Windows (May work on Mac too)
NOTE - THIS WILL ONLY WORK IF YOU HAVE THE MUSIC FILES ON THE COMPUTER ALREADY
If your like me and format your computers only to discover that you've lost all those time consuming playlists that you spent hours on, well your in luck.
Without any Third-Pary programs it's possible to save those awesome playlists, and pull them back from the blink of oblivion.
Step 1 - Connect iDevice to your computer and then open iTunes.
Step 2 - Locate your iDevice on the left side bar on iTunes under the heading 'Devices', click the arrow on the left of the devices name and select a playlist.
Step 3 - Right-Click the selected playlist and choose 'Export playlist', Save it as a Text file.
Step 4 - In iTunes, up the top click 'File' then locate Library, move across to 'Import Playlist...', Select the playlist you just created and click open.
Step 5 - Your playlist will appear on the left side bar under the heading 'Playlists', Select the playlist and attempt to play one of the songs contained.
Step 6 - You would have been prompted that iTunes doesnt see the file, select 'Locate' and then go to the location of your music and locate the file.
(Sorry dont have an image for this one due to having all my music already found)
Step 7 - Doing this once will find all the music in the playlist given that it's in a similar location of the song you found.
Congrats you have successfully moved a playlist back from oblivion

    There's a different method.
    1. On iTunes -> Devices -> <your device> -> Summary -> Check Manually manage music and videos.
    2. On iTunes -> Devices -> <your device> -> Summary -> uncheck Manually manage music and videos.
    done.

  • Why won't Apple allow WiFi sync'g of iOS devices on PowerPC Macs running OS 10.5.8 and latest iTunes?

Another note, I can't believe that after all of this time with the new discussion boards, you still can't edit posts from any of Apple's iOS devices.
I posted this on my iPAd and had to just edit this from my Mac because I accidentally posted this question before I finished.
    Royal Pain!

My Mac connects to the Internet via WiFi through a WifI card. I am running OS X 10.5.8 and the latest update of iTunes to find that Apple has (I think) artificially, not allowed sync'g of iOS devices on 10.5.8. This option is greyed out and says for OS 10.6 and above only.
Why impose this limit if we Leopard users can still use the latest version of iTunes and have WiFi capabiltity to do so?

  • Sync mail on iOS devices and a PC with icloud

Is it possible to sync mail on iOS devices and a PC with icloud such that when a mail is deleted on one device it is deleted on all devices?

You should be able to use iCloud mail on your Mac, however you will have to enter the settings manually. Unfortunately you will not be able to use the other features of iCloud for which lion is required. (calendars, contacts etc)

  • Can MVI video from a Cannon Rebel Ti sync to an iOS device?

Does anyone know if you can sync MVI video taken from a Cannon Rebel Ti from iPhoto to an iPhone or an iPad?  Last night I shot some video of my son's 5th birthday party and wanted to sync some of the video to my iPhone and iPad after I'd downloaded it to iPhoto.  But after syncing I get a message on my iOS device that several items did not sync.
    Thanks.

    Sync it with iTunes.

  • Exchange calendar sync issues among iOS devices and Mavericks

When I add an event to a shared Exchange calendar on my Mac in iCal, and mark it as All-Day, that designation does not appear with the event on my iOS devices. Instead, it's given a 24-hour duration from 12 to 12, so to speak. Here's the confusing part: If I edit the event on my iPhone to correct it as All-Day, it does not sync that All-Day designation to my iPad. Additionally, if I then make the same correction on the iPad, toggles it on the phone and removes All-Day. Removal of All-Day designation on a device does remove it on the Mac calendar, which I then have to change back. So I chase it around in a circle and end up with the correct duration on only one iOS device. The difference in All-Day and 24 hours duration does matter graphically as many of these events run for several weeks or months. All-Day keeps them confined to the upper section of the calendar graph rather than muddying up the lowerm hourly appointments.
Any ideas on how to rectify the problem?
I'm running Mavericks, iOS 7.0.3 and using MS Exchange 2010.

There are several other posters on the Forums that are having issues with Exchange sync'ing with Mavericks. It could be that your all-day verses mutli-hour issue may be among them.
Most of the problems that people are seeing, including myself, are more to do with Mail and Calendar simply not synchronizing.
My Mail.app INBOX for my Exchange server is now several hours behind my iOS and Windows Outlook instances. Calendar appointments are simply not being pushed to the server (though they seem to be retrieved OK).
So, sorry for now help on this one directly, but you are not alone.

  • Imac Pictures to IOS devices

I need to know how to either ICloud selected pictures to my IOS devices. I went to set up icloud in prefrenced but i do not have an icloud prefrence in the systems menu. I thought it might be a software issue but "it Says" i have the lastest software. What i'm trying to do is send pictures that i have put on my Imac to my Iphone or Ipad as i choose. Any help would be appreciated>

You cannot browse the contents of an iCloud iOS device backup, nor selectively restore/delete data from it. The backup is for doing a complete restore of an iOS device from iCloud. You cannot separately restore photos from an iCloud iOS backup.
If your photos were in Photostream they would be downloaded to your iOS device when ou turn it on.

  • Best way to sync Numbers to iOS device?

Is there a way to sync Numbers between a Mac and iOS device that you can update on either platform and have the update sync'ed?
iCloud: have to always upload from Mac to icloud.com - useless
iTunes: save on Mac then sync to iPhone - saved version does not sync.  Can't sync back to Mac
I know WebDAV is an option but I'd like to also sync when I'm away from my home network.  Dropbox would be great but Numbers doesn't integrate with it.

    Unless Apple decides to:
    A) make the syncronization happen seamless between the two programs/OS's autmatically through iCloud in the next update to iWork
    B) includes DropBox support in a future update of iWork for iOS
    C) Create a better only Google Docs/Microsoft Office Live feature for their Documents in the Cloud feature...
...You're pretty much stuck.  I had this same problem when editing Powerpoint documents with Keynote for iOS.  You could, however, use another office tool that can sync with Dropbox.  This is presuming your not working with files saved in the numbers extension, but are instead working with documents saved as Excel or Open Spreadsheet files.  I like CloudOn, which is a streaming over the Internet version of Microsoft Office.  You might alos look at CloudOn.
    Sorry

  • Sync problems between iOS devices and iMac desktop

    Hi Folks,
I am having an odd prolem which has started to cause me some concerns with possible lost contacts.   I have been adding contacts normally using my iPhone especially when out and about.  Sometimes to make the typing a bit easier I have done it in a web browser into iCloud or on my desktop iMac.  All sounds normal right ?
Having been searching for some contacts I have suddenly been unable to find them, weird - I am sure I put that guy in there a few days ago.   Ok so look in the iPhone contacts and its there, look on the ipad and its there, but in the web access icould it not.   Stuff entered on the iphone or ipad do sync to ech other, but apparently somehow bypassing the web accessed icloud.
Dig a bit deeper and find that about 300 out of 3500 contacts are not in all places.
Contacts added on the iphone are in the ipad and vice versa, but they arent on the icloud web or in the iMac on my desk.
Has anybody got any ideas whats going on here ?  I do knwo that I often see at the foot of a contact in the iphone LINKED contacts that have all the same details.
Can somebody please xplain what all these different data sets are and how can I get them all merged into one set and have that data everywhere ??
    Any advice much appreciated
    Thank you !

    On the iMac open iCal.
From the menu bar click iCal > Preferences then select the Accounts tab then the Account Information tab.
Select iCloud on the left under Accounts.
Make sure:  Enable this account is selected
And select Push from the pop up menu next to:  Referesh Calendars
    Now reset your iOS devices.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Sync reminders with IOS devices

Since upgrading to OSX Lion and IOS5 on Iphone and Ipad, I am able to sync reminders using Icloud between IOS devices, but not my Mac.
    Thanks,

Hmmm. I do believe that Apple has set it up so that tasks sync in reminders in my iOS device, so that would be something to do with Apple, don't you think?

  • Sync of iMessage iOS devices?

    Hello
I'm not sure, if this has something to do with iCloud:
I have an iPhone and an iPod touch running iOS 5. When sending imessages, they sometimes sync to the other device and sometimes not. I have setup imessage on both devices with the same apple id. Can anyone explain me when an imessage is synced and when it isn't synced?

The email has to be your Apple id for it to work.  It works for me.
Refer to a third party article here:
    Ensuring iMessage Conversations Sync
    Nov 13th, 2011
If you have an iPad, iPod Touch, or an iPhone you will want conversations to be synced across your devices. I, and others, have had issues with syncing conversations between the iPad and the iPhone and it’s all because of a simple default setting.
iMessage has a “Caller ID” and iPhones use your phone number by default. To keep messages synced all your devices they need to have the same Caller ID. This is only possible with email addresses because iPads and iPod Touches cannot have phone numbers as their Caller ID. Here’s how to change the Caller ID:
    Open the Settings app.
Tap on Messages > Receive At > Caller ID.
Select the same email address on all your devices. You can be reached at more than one but only send from the one selected as your Caller ID. You can change which emails are listed here on the previous screen.
Delete all previous iMessage conversations on all of your devices. This sounds drastic but it is necessary. In these conversations people were texting a phone number which had a single destination - your iPhone. With an email as your Caller ID you can have multiple destinations for incoming messages.
    Old Conversations
Conversations that took place with the phone number as Caller ID will not merge with the newer conversations either on your devices or on your recipients devices. Replying from these old conversations will still send messages from your phone number and by not deleting them you run the risk of carrying on a conversation that won’t be synced on your devices.
Keep in mind that from now on outgoing messages will appear as sent from the email address you selected. If people don’t have this email listed under your name in their contacts they will see your email as the sender rather than your name. I would advise them to add your email to their address book as well as delete the old conversation. Again, if people reply to messages sent from a Caller ID thats a phone number, the messages will only be sent to your phone and not all your devices.
    Text Message Fallback
Now that your Caller ID is an email address, if iMessage fails to deliver you have the option to send as a text message. This option is accessible by long pressing on the undelivered message and obviously only works on your iPhone. When your Caller ID is set to a phone number and delivery of an iMessage fails, a text message was sent automatically. This automation is great for ensuring delivery but frustrating because it has caused me to unintentionally text internationally.
I’ve figured all this out from my own messaging experiences. If something works differently for you please hit me up via email or twitter.
