Iphoto11 transfer to HD issues

I just bought my macbook pro last night and have been trying to transfer my pictures from iphoto 11 to my external hard drive (seagate 500 gig usb). ive researched online and have gone through the steps:                 1. close iphoto11
                                                                                             2. open finder, find the iphoto 11 library in pictures folder
                                                                                             3. click on drag library folder to external hard drive icon in the finder menu
now step 3 is where things arent working out, as i drag it up to my external, the external folder grays out and wont accept the iphoto11 library folder. anyone have an idea why? im new to this system so thanks in advance for the help

What format is the External? I'll guess it's NTFS, from WIndows. Macs can't write to such a disk without additional software. But in the case of iPhoto that doesn't matter, as you need to have the Library sitting on a disk formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
You can reformat the disk with Disk Utility, but this will erase it, so back up first.

0 Results in Data Transfer. Similiar issues anyone?

Please reply if my question isn't clear enough for anyone that may have expertise on this issue. I'm a bit of a novice to BW, but I understand completely how the ETL process should work. Here are the steps I've taken so far that have produced no results:
1) I've created a datasource that uses data from an infotype table in r/3.
2) I've tested the extractor using rsa3 and received 791 results when I omit selection criteria.
3) I've replicated the datasource onto bw.
4) I've created an infoObject that will act as an infosource since I'm using master data.
5) My datasource only has 5 fields since I want to accomplish a simple transfer to see the whole thing working (from date, to date, personnel number, and employer, and city)
6) After activating my infosource and creating transfer rules (actually using transfer rules proposed by the system), I then created an infopackage, started the transfer immediately while skipping the PSA and going to the infoObject directly.
7) As you all know, I've obtained 0 records when I should contain 791 records.
If anyone sees any flaws in my steps, any advice would be deeply appreciated.

In the load monitor, in the Extraction section, can you see all 791 records were extracted?
Is the "key" field included in the Transfer Rules and the Infosource? I mean, if your InfoObject is "0MATERIAL" or "ZMYOBJECT", for example, make sure 0MATERIAL or ZMYOBJECT are part of the Infosource and mapping in the update rules as well.
I assume you're not using any filters in the Infopackage. That's why you expect to see the same 791 records you get in RSA3, right?

Transfer Order Status Issue

Hi All.
For the delivery we are Creating the Transfer Order using the Transaction LT03 . Currently we are having issue with Transfer Order status.When we look the document flow for the transfer order, TO status reads as "Completed" instead of "open" whereas deleviry status is still in "being Processed" status.
Please give me the solition , why status goes to "Complete" status instead of "Open".

I thought it is a one-off issue.
You mean the TO is not yet confirmed using LT12 but status already shows complete?
Delivery is in correct status as the pick/pack and PGI steps are not completed..but for TO status, if it's confirmed then it should be complete.
Pls confirm what's your scenario?

T440S to T440s - program and data transfer, OS licensing issue

Hi,
Obviously not able to open these critters up. I have a new T440s that I would like to transfer my programs and data to. Is there a program out there that can do this without having to pull out the hard drive to image?
My current one has Windows 8.1. The new one has Windows 7 with the Windows 8.1 recovery discs. Issue is, I believe that the Windows license is tied to the hardware? Therefore I would have to make a recovery disc set of Windows 7.....then use the Windows 8.1 recovery discs then move my programs and data over.
Windows Easy Transfer does not look like it can do the best job.
I thought about bringing it to the store for them to swap the drives but then worried alot about the whole licensing issue. (not to mention the possible loss of my warranty) Unless if it is done professional and the license could be stripped out of the existing drive and new drive moved to new machine....perhaps a way to get the license keys from the new system somehow.

If you look at the bottom of the machines, and they both have the Windows 8 sticker, your machines are licenced and the product key is embedded in the BIOS.
You can use this program: ProduKey to view and write down your keys, but if you use either the Recovery disks or a WIndows 8 Pro retail DVD to reinstall Windows, your key will be picked up automatically by the installation.
For migration of your files, programs and settings, you could simply clone your current WIndows 8.1 installation onto the new drive using, assuming your installation is UEFI and thus your HD is GPT partitioned, Macrium Reflect, which many users here have had a good experience with. That would save you time from having to reinstall Windows on the new machine as well and all you'd have to do is to enter the embedded Windows key of your new machine to activate it.

Automatic batch determination during transfer posting. Issue.

Please could anyone advise to solve the following problem with automatic batch determination:
1. When delivery is created for sales order, SAP automatically assigns batch number.(SLOC 1)
2. From time to time there is a need to transfer the same material number, which is on delivery to another sloc2.
3. Using Mb1b tcode i do transfer posting from SLOC1 to SLOC 2. In batch field i put * or (**) for automatic generation. (movement 311).
The problem appears here, when SAP automatically assigns the same batch to transfer posting which was assigned to delivery (p.1).
So that after transfer posting done, there is no required quantity left in batch needed to do a goods issue for delivery. So goods issue is not possible because of that kind of transfer posting.
Do you have any idea, how to manage this, and to restrict SAP choosing the same batch which was assigned to delivery.

CATA - No records for transfer to PS Issue

Few postings were made in CAT2 against a 'Network - Activity'. After CATA is run, there is no CO document generated. For CO document to be generated, number range is maintained for trx RKL in KANK. I have checked CATSCO, PTEX2000 tables. there is no data posted in these tables either. I see a message "No records for transfer to PS". The data is present in CATSDB table though; with status (30 - APPROVED).
Not even the Activity type price maintained (KP26) is being triggered / displayed in CATA.
I have checked the below threads, but still unable to figure out what the reason for this issue is.

Note 555947 - PS/PM: Confirmation by CATS (Consulting note). Maybe this is the reason you are getting this error.

Slow file transfer - ethernet + firewire issue?

Here's the setup -
Win98PC > ethernet (direct cable connection) > iMac G5 > Lacie d2 FW drive
Connection (100BaseT) works, logins work fine, browsing folders & files is fine. But when I transfer files from the WinPC to the Lacie drive through the iMac G5 it is unbelievably slow. Same thing if I use one of my other Macs in place of the WinPC, so it looks like a network or iMacG5 issue, not a WinPC issue.
On the other hand, if I use Airport to connect a WinPC, eMac or MacBook to the iMacG5, the file transfers are blindingly fast.
Is this perhaps because the FW & ethernet controllers in the iMac G5 are the same PHY chip? Is this some kind of contention for bandwidth through the PHY chip? (The Airport card in the iMacG5 is on a separate bus, not connected to the Ethernet/FW PHY chip, which makes me suspect something is up with the ethernet/FW controller.)
Anyone else encounter a problem like this with slow file transfer through your iMacG5 to an external FW drive?

Martin, that's really interesting. I've noticed slow network transfers in the past but always racked it up to overhead and parity errors inherent in the OS's. Never thought it might be the PHY chip, though it certainly could be. Apple has a broadband tuner which might help you by increasing packet size (but you probably knew that as a Level3). My stopgap is to do the file transfers with firewire, but your laptop may not have that option.
You could maybe copy to the mac over the network, then copy a second time to the LaCie. Not elegant or clean, but will save you time. Kinda like taking the backroads to avoid rush hour traffic - it's farther to go but you get there faster.

Transfer posting (OASV) issue for the existing Intangible Assets

In our system the APC and Acc. Dep. for ord. dep. has maintained the same G/L Account (A090) so due to this in Fin. Statement it shows the Net Book Value. Now, our client wants to migrate to IFRS, as per this it has to show like ( Intangible Assets - Acc. amortization - Acc. Impairment Loss). Now, I have created new account i.e. 'Accumulated Amortization for Intangible Assets A/c and removed the old G/L A/c (the one which is same for both APC and Acc. Dep.). Now, the old G/L has the APC and Acc. Dep. values so I need to transfer the Acc. Dep. from old G/L to New G/L A/c by using OASV (Transfer posting).
If I make the transfer posting like (the both G/L Accounts are Recon. A/cs)*
      Debit Old G/L A/c    - xx,xx,xxx
      Credit New G/L A/c - xx,xx,xxx
Is it any impact on the values (Intangible Assets) Dep. Area wise? Since, APC and Acc. Dep. already posted to old A/c up to this point of time. Another doubt is, while posting the above entry shall I need to switch off (Reset) Recon. A/c for this Intangible Assets? OR without Reset Recon. A/c can I post this transfer posting? Is this correct procedure or other than this is there any other alternative?
we have 9 Dep. Areas out of which 3 Dep. Areas have posting indicator as '1'. In that out of 3 Dep. Areas one Dep. Area namely 'Impairment Loss' is there but there are no positings till now. After config. change it should allow ABIF tr. that we completed already.
Could anyone explain why this 'Investment Support' Dep. Area (Impairment Loss) doesn't allow APC values by default?

Let me clarify your points individually.
1) From system the prospective, it does not make any diff in functionality for a tangable asset or an intangable asset.
2) Add the new GL account in the respective account dtermination as a balance sheet account for accum dep. (while adding, the GL account should be as recon account)
3) Please switch off the recon account indicator in the both GL accounts with OAMK.
For Ex: Lets say you have already posted APC value 10000 Dr and Accum dep 2000 Cr to the old GL account, so the net book value will be 8000 Dr.
In this case Please find out the total value of line items (2000 Cr as per the above example) for accum dep, that was already posted to the old GL account.
4) Post a journal voucher through F-02 like
                                                  Old G/L A/c Dr - 2000
                                                                New G/L A/c Cr - 2000
So after passing this entry you will find account balance as 8000 Dr in old GL account and 2000 Cr in new GL account.
5) after passing the above entry you need to switch on the recon account for both the GL accounts

Transfer Order printing issue

I've faced such an issue while printing TO via standard WM print functionality.
TO was created for moving batches which has no SLED maintained in it's master and printed using form LVSTSOLO. SLED was missing in a document.
I specified required data in a batch master, and tried to reprint TO. But SLED in paper slip is still missing in the print document.
As far as I have understood, the print tables (the data for printing SAP Script forms is taken from) are filled while TO posting only, but not while print program run. So changes in linked objects have no influence on that data.
Am I right? And is there any possibility (some kind of a background job or smth) to update print tables after changes were made?

When using LT15, enter the item numbers along with TO, then it should allow you to cancel.

Log and Transfer - Clip Sorting Issue

Hello. I have been using an AVCHD camera for some time now, and when I would use the Log And Transfer the clips would show up in the order they were recorded. I accidentally pressed a tab at the top to sort a different way, and now I can't get back to how it was. See http://dcdl.info/20100212171440.png for a screenshot. I know it has to do with how the clips are automatically named.
If anyone can help me with this, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Just a thought!
Right-click on the "Name" field and check "Date Created" in the drop-down list. If you now sort using the Date Created column, will this reorder the clips as you want them? If not, are there any other options in the list that might?

Apps transfer and authorization issues

I have nearly 100 apps on my iPhone 3 that I need to transfer to my iTunes account. Despite authorizing my computer, it keeps asking me to re-enter my details and won't start the sync from my iPhone. Going round and round in circles - what do I do?

Same here, I have an iPhone 6. After updating to 8.3 the phone started to lag, the battery consumption went crazy, the phone started to overheat and the games started to stutter and freeze for short periods of time. From what I've read on the internet this update is good for 5s or lower models but for 6 and 6+ it's a lot worse. This is unacceptable since Apple has only 5 phone models compatible with iOS 8 and they have all the resources and time to make the things bette.

Transfer to ipod issues

Somesongs in the music library have ! icon next to tick box (to left).some even appears in the same album song list. Iam trynig to load up another spare ipod to play in kitchen. Some preloaded songsIcan transfer, others with the ! icon next to them will not transfer to spare ipod? Any ideas why this is?

Ah! seems these songs have no files founds as I have noticed you cannot play the songs with ! next to them? any ideas where they have gone? corrupt in upgrade?
