Ipod 30gb turns off automatically when battery is about half

Hello,
I have been testing my new ipod 30gb for a few days to see how much time I can let it play until thebattery dies. However, the last two times i did that (out of three trials)the ipod turn off automatically when the battery reached about half.
My 'hold' button was on so I could not have touched it by accident and I left the ipod on my desk and no one touched it.
Has anyone experienced this before or would anyone know what is happening?

First, as I stated, the "cure" for an old battery is to buy a new one. Many people have had faulty batteries replaced for free by Apple - if the health is low (<80%) and the cycle count is <300, that's a faulty battery that is likely eligible for replacement. Personally, I had one like that replaced for free (after my one year warranty was up, but within the 2 year battery warranty extension). Second, perhaps this is happening "just recently" because the MBPs have been out for a while now, and people's batteries (just like the people themselves) are getting older. Batteries have a finite life and a finite number of charge cycles they can take before they become unreliable - that's just the basic chemistry of a Li-based rechargeable battery. You can't charge with the battery out of the device.
What is happening is that your on-device battery meter is off sync with the a the actual battery charge. Connect to your OEM wall outlet battery charger and while still connected and powered on, remove the battery a minute to reboot. After reboot leave to fully charge to 100%.
Thus will reset the false charge reading.

I have a ipod touch 4 and my ipod randomly turned off with full battery, Its not the battery and I tried holding the home button and lock button down but it didnt work... Help please!

Today i was on my ipod then i locked it then i plugged it in to charge because it was only half battery and it just tuned off for no reason and it would not turn back on..... I tried the "solution" for it but it didnt work, if anyone could help that would be great!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

IPhone 4s turns off automatically when unplugged from charger

My iPhone 4s is on 7.3 and when I unplug it from the charger it randomly turns off. It could be completely charged at 100 % and would still shut off. It shuts off as is the battery is dying. I plug it back in and it says that it is charging, but the screen remains black. This problem has been happening since iOS 7.3 came out, and when it died I haven't had a chance to use my phone since. Any help?

How come occasionally my macbook air turns off suddenly when battery is not empty?

It happens to me three or four times for the past few months. I pressed the power button lightly once to put my air into sleep mode but then it turns off without popping out the messsge of wheter to shut off or to restart.

The wifi on my iPod is turned off to save battery when not in use. I changed my password, but when I changed it, I must have mistyped it. I cannot restore my iPod, connect it to iTunes, or wipe it, as far as I've tried, and cannot contact Apple, HELP??

You need to place the iPod in recovery mode first before connecting to iTunes as this will allow you to bypass the passcode. See this article for instructions on getting the iPod into recovery mode.

Hp DV6-6050 SE Laptop turns off automatically when picked from right corner with one hand

no, i bought a brandnew machine.
PROBLEM:
I bought DV6-6050 se notebook few days back and used it for two days. Using it for two days i discovered that if i lift my latop with one hand from right corner side of the notebook the notebooks shuts down producing a sound "TICK" just like that and boom gone,, Lcd view gone, Key borad light gone and only charging light gets on and also the processor fan shutsdown. Now i have to take out the battery and the put it back than restart notebook and choose the Option "Start Windows Normally". it happens everytime if i pick my laptop up single handedly from right corner side of the machine, it doesnt happen if i lift my notebook with both hands, even i can tilt the notebook , it doesnt shutsdown but as soon as i lift it from right corner it shutsdown. I went back to the shop where i bought it and asked them to replace they said that it seems that i have shaken the laptop . but nor i dropped the laptop neither did i shaked . i just had it for 2 days and discovered this. Now i am waiting for HP labs to tell me that was it my fault or it was manufacturing fault... Please tell me why this problem can be? i didnt do anything. I am so tensed. Please anyone who knows about the problem. Do help. Thanking you in advance.

Why does my iPod classic turn off?

I've had my iPod classic for about five years now and about two months ago it started to act weird. Whenever I would press next too much I notice the battery depleting to almost the red zone, but I fully charged it that day.Before all of this happened I noticed that my iPod would always ask to be restored. Now, it seems to have gotten a lost worse. Before I could listen to my iPod classic for at least a whole day without needing a charge, but now I can't even do that anymore. I'd be lucky if I could listen to a whole album. I would love to try and buy a new iPod classic, but I'm a college student and broke so I really can't afford one. So any help would be great. You most likely have activated the sleep timer.
Setting the Sleep Timer
You can set iPod to turn off automatically after playing music or a slideshow for a
specific period of time.
To set the sleep timer:
1 Choose Extras > Clock and then choose a clock.
2 Choose Sleep Timer and choose how long you want iPod to play.
When you set the sleep timer, a clock icon and the number of minutes left until iPod
turns off appear in the Now Playing screen on iPod.

I want to play one gapless album and have the Ipod turn off. When I download my audiobooks as a compilation does that automate going from one gapless album to the next?

I created a gapless album by joining the tracks on a disc in a multiple disc audiobook. I want my classic Ipod to turn off after it finishes an album but it continues on to the next disc (album) in the audiobook automatically. When it finishes the multiple discs contained in the compilation of one album it continues to the next audiobook. This is great when listening to the audiobook in a car while driving, but not when I use the Ipod to put me to sleep at night. Why does it do this?

Did you put the library on the external drive, or just the media folder. See this migrate iTunes library post for the way this ought to be done and recovery tips for when it is no longer possible.

1. you may have to take it in to Apple and get an out of warranty iphone for $199.
2. you can get your information from a backup of your phone. you do have a backup of your phone right either in iTunes or icloud. If you don't then your answer will be no.

I am using German OS therefore maybe the items are called differently in English:
1) Go into the main menu
2) Select "Alerts"
3) select the Profile you like to adjust
4) Select App Alerts
5) Select Email
6) You sould see your 3 mail accounts listed
7) Select the one you like to "mute" and you can set everything (sound, LED, vibration etc. individually for this acount)

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Try Hard Reset > Restore > Contact Apple for service.

I bought iphone just 10 days back and I update OS 4.3.3 as apple said, after that I am facing a battery drain problem and also it turn off automatically while I was talking on phone with friends and family. I noticed 6 times. look like apple phone *****

I just bought apple i phone 4 10 days back from AT &T Retail outlet, then I set up account on itune and i saw to update the software version and i did it to 4.3.3, after that I am facing two problem 1) Battery is draining like water and 2) while I was talking on phone with family and friends It turn off automatically, Initially I thought I might made some mistake but afterward I noticed that It happen again and again without I touch anything on screen or at phone. I guess Apple suppose to do something and help the customers, anyway but I am still under 30 days warranty period I am going to return it back and I guess may be there are lot of other options available comparing iphone4. but Lets wait what kind of solutions apple bring to me.

No matter what the product, there will always be some off the line that are defective. It's a fact of life.
The phone has a 1 year Warranty, not 30 days. I'm sure they'll be happy to replace it for you.
Now, that said, have you bothered to sync the phone to make sure you don't have to come back whining because you got your phone replaced and now you can't find your stuff?

Use the Settings app.
Settings > General > Auto Lock
Is Auto Lock set to Never? Change it to less time.
