Please help me out as this is very irritating. This has been happening for the last 20-30 minutes. It had roughly half battery left.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Songs in ipod 5th gen (iOS 7) in wrong genres.

Songs in ipod (ios 7) appear in the wrong genres and also in multiple genres at the same time. I went to a genius bar today and the tech agent couln't resolve the issue. I have also restored my ipod and after itunes synced my songs over to the freshly restored ipod the problem returned.
I have some songs that dont belong to an album at all, just mix songs from soundcloud and i tagged the "album" field "N/A". I have these songs with their correct genre tags and for some reason this group of songs will appear in several genres under th album N/A. They dont appear in every genre and i cant figure out why its chosing it randomly.
Why options do i have for resolving this issue? Im baffled because everything is sorted fine in itunes on my macbook. Its just when the songs are in my ipod that it goes awry.
    Help please!

  • I get no sound from my guitar when using iRig with my iPod 5th gen (iOS 7)

I've just bought my iRig and it doesn't work with my iPod 5. I get no sound out of my guitar.
Headphones are working and when iRig is connected I can hear the samples and every other sound coming out of the iPod, but I get nothing from my guitar.
I tried shutting the iPod down, turning Mono on/off, but it still doesn't work with any of my apps (Amplitube, Garage Band and AmpKit).
Then I tried it with my brother's iPod 4 and it worked perfectly, which makes me think that there's something wrong with my iPod settings (I got the iOS 7)....
Does anyone know something I could try?
    Thanks!

Contact the developer/go to their support site . Maybe it is not compatible with the 5G iPod. Also, it may not be compatible with iOS 7. Did it work on the 5G before iOS 7?
    Restore from backup. See:

  • IPod 5th gen - Pedometer issue

    Hi,
although I have no 'audio problem' when using the pedometer, I've noticed that the Pedometer counts differently if used with or without music.
I mean that, doing the same route:
    - if my iPod is not playing music, the pedometer counts about 3300 steps (and it should be the right number of steps)
    - if it's playing music, the pedometer counts many steps less (about 1200)
Have someone else had got this issue?

  • How to back up an iPod 5th Gen iOS 8 without pass code

    Hello,
The screen of my son's iPod touch was broken and now no longer accepts swipe or touch input.  We would like to back it up so we can restore on to a new iPod.
We connected to iTunes on the computer normally used to sync it, but iTunes wants us to unlock the iPod before doing anything.  This is so far impossible due to the broken screen.  Sometimes, we can get the number pad up, but we can't enter more than the first number because the screen is so broken.
Is there any way at all for us to back up this iPod?  We don't have anything backed up to iCloud, so that's not an option.
Thanks for any tips, or condolences as the case may be.
    Charles

There are a number of third party apps that will transfer data from the iPod to your PC.  Perhaps one may work for you.  A number of them are written up on this page: http://ipod.about.com/od/ipodcopybackuptransfer/tp/Top-Programs-Transfer-Ipod-To -Computer.htm You can also do a Google search on iPod transfer.  Also look up iExplorer, DiskAid, iFunBox, Aiseesoft iPhone Transfer, etc.

  • I tried updating my iPod 5th gen to iOS 8 but it only shows me a picture of the iTunes logo and a charger at the bottom, I'm not sure what this means or what I need to do. Can someone please help me?

After restoring to factory settings/new iPod you will then have to restore from backup
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • My iPod 5th gen is not turning on after iOS 8 update!

My iPod 5th gen is not turning on after iOS 8 update! Before this all happened, I noticed that my apps crashed unexpectedly, it was laggy, and it decides to reset on its own at times. I CAN'T charge or plug it into my computer. Also, my home button is sunk in but my sleep/wake button at the top is most definitely not. I know my iPod was not running out of battery and I did not even power it off. I am very disappointed but I really need it to turn on =/

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
Ignore the reset and when it says place the iPod in recovery mode
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs:
    For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
    or
    http://joshuabailey1997.wordpress.com/2010/09/02/recboot-v1-3/
    If necessary:
    Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
    and
    RecBoot tip
RecBoot may have problems on 64X windows, then try:
Tenorshare ReiBoot – Enter & Exit iPhone, iPad, iPod Recovery Mode with a Single Click
    For MAC or PC
    The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
    Installs blootware on PC too

  • IPod 5th gen frozen after upgrading to iOS 8

I was able to download and install of iOS 8 on my iPod 5th gen (no iSight camera version). Everything went great, no errors or warnings. After it installed and the iPod reset, it is now stuck on a white screen with a black Apple and the progress bar. It has been stuck on this screen with the progress bar about 5/6 of the way across for hours.
It is still shows in iTunes with the model, capacity, and the check for update, restore iPod, backup now, and restore backup buttons. iTunes says it is on iOS 8. When I click on any of the above buttons, I get a message that "Find my iPod must be turned off before iPods can be restored." I feel like a ******* not turning Find My iPod it off before upgrading, but it should have told me to turn if off before upgrading.
I cannot power the iPod off to try to reset it, nothing happens.
Am I screwed and now have a metal and glass brick, or is there anything I can do?

  • After I installed iOS 7.1, my iPhone 4s and iPod (5th Gen.) will no longer sync with my 2014 Toyota Tundra Truck.

After I installed iOS 7.1, my iPhone 4s and iPod (5th Gen) stopped syncing with my 2014 Toyota Tundra Truck.  Has anybody experienced this problem?

Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

hi my ipod 5th gen is stuck in recovery mode ive tried everything and nothing is working

Only developers have access to the iOS 7 beta and then also have access to the developer forum. Thus, if you are a developer go the the developer's forum.
Otherwise you have a bootleg coy of iOS 7 and are on your own.

    Maybe this will help:
    Troubleshooting
As with all clickwheel iPods, you can reset this iPod by first toggling the hold switch on and off and then simultaneously pressing the select (center) and menu buttons for approximately 5-10 seconds. This is a common fix should your iPod behave unexpectedly or lock up. Once reset, the iPod should display an Apple logo for a few seconds before showing the main menu. This procedure is similar to rebooting a computer and damages none of your music or data.
