IPod- I don't want it to automatically sync... :-) Please Help

I would like to add some songs to my iPod, but not synchronize it to my PC, as it is set. I am afraid if I plug it in to my computer, it will automatically sync with it. Is there a shortcut, or some way I can make it so I can keep my files and then manually add more? Maybe there are some keys I can hold down while I plug it in?!? Thank you so much for your help...

You released the keys too soon. Best bet is to start iTunes first then connect the iPod.
If it does still start to sync, then you can click the X in a circle to the right side of where it says "Updating iPod" in the top area of the screen, to make it stop updating. If you do this before it starts copying files, no changes will be made to the iPod.

Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. That is how it works
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -
Old ipod..don't want to restore, just sync with current library

Don't want to erase and restore this ipod..can I import all the music and sync with current library?You can import all the music from your iPod back to the computer and iTunes. Once it's there you can sync your iPod with the iTunes library.
Be very careful when connecting an iPod full of music to an empty iTunes library.There is very real risk of permanently losing all the music.
To prevent auto sync, before you connect the iPod go to iTunes/preferences and select "devices", then select "disable automatic syncing for iPhones and iPods".
An alternative method is to connect the iPod whilst holding down the 'Command + Option' keys and do not let them go until your iPod appears in iTunes.
If you see a message that your iPod is associated with a different library and asks if you want to link to a new one, make sure you press "Cancel".
If you should click on "Erase and Sync" will erase all the content currently on your iPod and it will be replaced with the content of the iTunes library you just connected to.
When you've pressed cancel your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list under "devices" and allow you to change the update setting to manage the iPod content manually, and that will let you use your iPod for the time being without the risk of accidentally erasing the contents.
Then do any of the following to transfer your music from iPod back to the computer/iTunes.
For iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

Try iPodDisk. This is a program designed to transfer music from iPod to computer.
Similar programs are Expod, Yamipod, Senuti and Music Rescue.
If you want to retrieve playlists, iPodRip has the feature enabling you to reconstruct them.
And btw, your iPod is not an iPod classic. -

is there a way to not have any theme and let the dvd start directly from the content(movie) when inserted to a dvd player by using idvd?
to prevent confusion(run-on sentence):
1. dvd inserted to a dvd player.
2. movie is starting.
* no theme, no title screen, no separate button pressing for play and arrows, but just the movie.*
if it is a possible task in idvd, please teach me.
if not, please tell me the software that allows this(freeware the better).

In iDVD 5 this was simple. I tried in iDVD 6 and got a DVD that plays OK
in my Mac but not on stand alone DVD players.
The way in iDVD 5 was to make a fake like this.
way 1. You must have a theme so I made a black photo and selected a theme
with no background music.
◊ Drop the black photo into the box for background
◊ Delete all button and text's.
◊ go to the button under the theme window with small line connected boxes
◊ now You have two boxes connected with a line in the theme window'
◊ drop Your movie (project icon) into the upper left on.
◊ Ready to test, make a disk image and burn
way 2. Record back Your movie to a new miniDV tape.
◊ Start iDVD and make a OneStep DVD.
Probably this works for iDVD 6 too but when I tested way 1 (without doing
a black menu) it didn't as I intended.

You won't be able to, just by navigating out the iPod's photos folder in iTunes. You'll likely need the help of some sort of third party software to get the job done for you. One thing you'll want to keep in mind about these photos is that they are no longer in their full resolution, but instead are scaled down thumbnail versions that were optimized for viewing on your iPod's Video smaller 2.5" LCD display.

Turn off My PhotoStream in iCloud on both the iPad and the Mac. PhotoStream is what shares your photos (unless you are using iCloud Photo Library Beta, in which case, all photos uploaded are accessible from all devices signed onto the same Apple/iCloud ID).

I have my iphone 3GS setup to be able to backup and sync with my computer over wifi. But I want to be able to backup to my sons computer also.
The things is I don't want to have to sync to his computer first to do this. Is there a file or something I can move from my computer that is setup to his that would let his see my iphone over wifi?If you don't have access to the old computer any longer, '''no'''. Unless you were using something like the Google Toolbar & Google Bookmarks or Xmarks, which would have your bookmarks in an online account that you could access. Firefox doesn't include an online storage feature for personal data, yet. That is coming in a future version.
If you have a friend at your old job maybe they have access to that old PC and they could export your bookmarks to a file and email that file to you. -
Okay everybody...so I'm on the struggle bus so I'm going from Photoshop cs6 off my old broken laptop to trying to dwn Photoshop Cs2...either way I love PS. Now when I tried downloading it for free from Adobe...succeeded...but when I went to the download folder to install it, it said "Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?" If you already have a license for photoshop cs6, why do you want photoshop cs2?
You can just install photoshop cs6 on your new computer provided both operating systems are the same kind (both mac or both windows)

According to this article, that means the Shuffle's buttons are disabled.

Hello, I try to generate a driver for my device with NI VISA. But the generated driver wasn´t accepted by windows. In the generated *.inf file a file called NIVIUSBK.sys is mentioned. But it seems that this file is not even installed at my computer.
