Ipod need to be reset all the time

Hi recently my Ipod is acting weird. if i don turn it on for 1 day the following day i need to reset it else nothing happens.
Is this supposed to be happening? I didn't hv this problem before.

Anita,
I know you said that you need to reset your iPod (and by that I take it to mean you have to do it yourself), but are you aware that the iPod resets itself after being left inactive for a period of 36 hours or so?

  • IPod Touch 4th keeps reseting all the time!!

Hey everybody! I really hope that you guys can help me..
I was trying to exclude an app and then I decided to reset my ipod touch 4th. Now, it keeps reseting all the time by itself! The ipod don't turn off or even less turn on.. What can I do??

    - Connect the iPod to your computer. If iTunes sees the iPod then restore the iPOd.
    - Next see if recovery mode will allow iTunes to see the iPod so your can restore it.  For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
    - Then try DFU mode

    - Then, let the battery fully drain and then charge and try again.
    - Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • IPod Mini continually skips tracks all the time every half a second!

My iPod Mini continually skips tracks all the time every half a second. The only thing that stops it is if you press pause but once you press play off it goes again. This means noi music is able to be played because it's always skipping. The menu button works as does the backlight if you hold the menu button down. The enter button works and the touch pad navigation also works. Both skip buttons have no effect on the unstoppable skipping. Can anybody help or at least verify the problem with other users of simular problems and if they were able to fix them simply, without having to go to an Apple dealer (it's out of warrenty i think)Any help would be appreciated.

  • Can I leave my ipod plugged in and on all the time?

can I leave my ipod plugged in and on all the time?

That will degrade the battery. Apple recommends that you fully discharge and fully charge monthly.

  • I have bad eyes so I need zoom bigger print all the time. An I reset and see always going from small to bigger every time?

It would be nice so that my bigger print with Firefox and to see all by bookmarks without changing the print from small to bigger or just print so I can see all th pages all the time?

To print larger fonts of a page, select print preview. Then change the 'scale' to an appropriate size.

  • IPod touch is fully charged all the time

    Hi!
I have a Sony FM/AM Clock Radio (Model ICF-CS10iP) that plays iPod/iPhone, and when I connect the iPod to the radio in order to play it, the battery is recharged very fast, so that my iPod is always fully recharged. In other words, I don't have time to spend my time listening to it with the earphones, consuming the battery till it runs out, then I would have to recharge again. It simply is full all the time. Is there any problem in not having this cicle of consuming and recharging? Thanks!

Yes. For maximum battery life, Apple recommends fully discharging/charging the iPod at least once a month.

  • Reset all the time Ipod Classic 80gb

    Hello,
I have a question and I hope one of you can answer me.
I got an iPod classid 80GB for a long time already,
When i had my iPhone 4s I had to update iTunes so I did.
Later I wanted to put new music on my iPod classic, connected but it took a while before it connected to my PC
and i had to reset all settings and all the music was gone.
So I did reset everything, everything was gone so I connected again and I had to reset it again, again and again.
Everytime I connect my iPod classic to my PC it has to be reset because it's in 'Reset modus', and can't put any music on it.
I hope somebody had this problem already or know this problem that can help me out.
    Thanks,,
    Mats

Are any other USB devices connected to your PC when you reconnect it?
    Have you seen this article?
Windows confuses iPod with network drive or hard drive and may keep iPod from mounting or songs may seem to disappear

  • Ipod Touch drops off network all the time

I am using a 2nd generation Ipod Touch to control Itunes on a Mac Mini. I am using the "Remote" application on my Ipod. I do not use the Ipod for anything else but remote control. There is no music on my Ipod.
I have the "stay connected" switched ON under remote settings in my Ipod. But almost every time I pick the Ipod up to use it it says:
"Can not connect to the local Network"
Then it generally does connect in a few seconds after I push a button. But sometimes I have to reboot the Mac Mini to get it to work. (I am not sure why this helps becasue I am using my Netgear Modem/router for my Network - not the Mac Mini....). My music library is on the Mac Mini.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

  • Phone really slow and needing hard reset all the time now.

I recently updated my Droid Razr Maxx HD to the latest OTA.  Since then it has become very slow and unstable.  Every two or three days I will have to perform a hard reset.  Going to the apps page is fine sometimes then other times it takes forever to load.  Has anyone else had problems like this and if so have you been able to fix it?
    Thanks
    Gabe Lundy

Update are meant to improve your device gabriellundy! I know how frustrating it must be to have to complete a hard reset on your phone multiple times. Have you tried running your phone on safe mode with out any applications? I would recommend to try this to determine if a third party app is causing issues to your device. • My iphone 4s shuts off automatically, and i can't turn it on with just the power button i need to do the "reset" all the time. it's been happening since sunday and today is already tuesday. what is happening?

    OS - 6.1.3
After it turns off it gets put into " recovery mode". and even if i do the "restart", i have to do it several times before the phone actually turns on. phone is 1 year and 5 mos old. already tried to restore it but it just keeps on shutting down. can anybody help?

Hi, thank you very much for your reply. No my phone was never been jailbreak-ed. Never been dropped in water or in any wet surface. Dropped on the floor while texting yes, but it was just a one time incident, last year august i can clearly remember, but after that no more (phone still works fine even after.) restored the phone again earlier, but problem still occured. Will try to go to Apple also to ask and have it checked.  Just worried because my phone is already out of warranty. Will keep you posted. Again, thanks. If you have any more advice just let me know. It would mean a lot.
    Cheers,

  • IPod resets all the time for no reason...

Everyday when i get in my car i go to turn on my iPod and it loads the Apple screen. It stays there for about 15 seconds then the main menu loads. Then if i turn it on a couple hours later it does the same thing. Why does this happen? Help.

That's completely normal behavior when the iPod has been shut off for a bit.

  • My iPad has a glitch and I have to reset all the time.

My iPad has a glitch and I have restore it already. Also I've reset it as we'll. it seems like it is ten steps ahead of me sometimes. Is there anything that I missed that I could use to fix this problem.

Try a hard reset. You won't lose anything. If you need to do a restore, your computer should back your iPod up first. Instructions in link below.

  • Sign-in doesn't work properly; need to sign in all the time between windows although signed in for 2 weeks.

popup appears out of nowhere reading "We noticed you may have signed in or signed out in another window. Click OK to reload your page" Leads you to sign in again.
This is not a problem with the old Flock, Chrome, or IE, just Firefox.
It appears that anytime one leaves mail or personal home page and goes to a website, a sign-in is required to get back to mail or personal homepage.
I have run out of ideas using tools-options, etc. setups.
I am addressing Firefox 4.0.1, and Windows XP
    Clarence

Cleared everything, several time over several days, no change.
Still have not diagnosed the problem and I have made a lot of changes, including re-loading M.FireFox 4.0.1 with ATT Yahoo vers. 1.8
It sometimes appears that the sign-in times out, although I tried signing in for 2 weeks and also 1 day. ATT Yahoo has a sign-in seal one can setup and use. It is fine and works only that one day or until one signs out, than it is history.
