IPod to home theater- have video but absolutely NO AUDIO!!!

I just bought a 30GB iPod for Christmas as well as the DLO HomeDock Deluxe. I connected everything perfectly fine: S-Video to the TV, Red (R), White (L) RCA cables to the stereo receiver. The video is working but I cannot get audio at all. No music, no sound when the videos play. Can anyone help?

OK first question is, do the videos play with sound if you don't use the dock? In other words, if you play them on your iPod and listen to them with the earbuds, is everything ok? How about from iTunes on your computer?
Where are the videos from? iTunes music store?

Hi, I want to edit, or remove a small section of video, but leave the audio playing in the background. I want to just put up a picture in the same spot. But, I need the video's audio to keep playing. I videotaped someone speaking, but there is a section where there is a mistake, namely, the camera was moved. I need to keep the audio going, and figured I would just put a still image of text or picture in the section where the mistake is, that's why I need the audio to keep playing. It's too long of a section to just do a transition to cover the mistake. Can someone help me with this? I guess you could call what I want to do is cut to a still image while the audio keeps playing?

I opened my account with itunes on my work computor, sometime later I purchased an ipad , and a iphone 4s and i successfully got them all to sync with icloud
so all my music i have bought and my photos ect goes to all devices , very happy.
Then i purchased an apple tv 2 , i have wifi installed and i have set up the apple tv with all the ID and passwords it asks for but it doesnt find my music collection on itunes. I have switched on the home sharing on all devices at home and at work but to no avail. please could someone tell me what i am doing or not doing I am a beginner at this stuff and would appreciate in laymans terms what i can do

Home Sharing is designed to work on your local network not across the internet/cloud.
Stuff is accessed under the Computers column where your local iTunes library on a local computer would appear.
Home Sharing would share your iTunes content (i.e. stuff stored in itunes on the computer, not in the cloud) with AppleTV or an iPad etc on the SAME network.
AppleTV2 will not be able to see itunes content on the work computer over the internet. It's not designed to. if the work computer was on the home network it would.
iCloud is in it's infancy and is not a mature product - iTunes TV Show purchases appear on AppleTV, but currently music does not unless you are subscribed to iTunes Match. I find this rather odd to be honest, along with the inability to buy music on AppleTV2. Movies purchased in iTunes are not authorised for iCloud viewing currently either.
Maybe it has something to do with iTunes Match 'getting in the way' - i think they assume you'll use that whereas you really want to be able to access Purchased music from the cloud without subscribing to itunes Match which is overkill for some.

IPod Nano - Home Theater / Bose Wave CD - Volume too low?

Connecting my Nano via the 3.5 mm plug as an AUX to a Bose Wave CD or my home theater produces a very low sound - I need to turn up the volume quite a bit. However, if I hook up the same Nano to Bose computer speakers - all seems fine. I am contemplating buying the Bose Wave CD, but if this remains a problem, I am not too happy. Suggestions?
- via dock connector - such as in Bose Sounddock - this is not a problem.
- I am not currently using the sound limiter option

You don't mention which nano but on the 6th gen you can adjust the volume limit in the settings.

I have the exact same problem. The picture is very slow, incredibly pixelated... and renders my apple tv virtually useless until this problem gets resolved. I currently have an apple tv 3, ipad retina, iphone 4s, and a 2011 macbook air. I use the apple tv almost exclusively for mirrored content. And this is definitely causing quite a problem for me.
I had been able to use this for presentations as well- but until this problem gets resolved - I may have to look for a backup solution/product. And I imagine that I'm not alone in this... Please get this resolved quickly!

Ipod will not accept purchased videos, but i have ipod 1.1.2 and itunes 7.0

I formatted my Ipod on windows several months ago. A week later, I bought a mac and have been using my ipod on mac ever since. Yesterday, I bought a video from the itunes store, and in order to play it, I tunes told me that i needed to update my I tunes from 6.0 to 7.0. So I did that...NOW, when I tried to copy the video to my ipod, I still could not copy to ipod.., I got a dialogue box telling me that my ipod software was too old and I needed to update it. my ipod software from 1.1 to 1.1.2. Luckily i had access to a windows computer. In the windows computer under ipod preferences, the ipod software read UP to Date after installing the 1.1.2 software. So now i bring back my ipod to my good old mac, and under Summary, ipod, my ipod version reads 1.1.2. and under Version, the update box is greyed out, and on the left side it reads ONLY MACINTOSH FORMATTED IPODS CAN BE UPDATED..
So i try to copy my purchased video from itunes music store, and I STILL GET A MESSAGE SAYING that "the item in the itunes music library was not copied to the ipod becaus you ipod softwar is too old!!!! go to the summary tab in ipod preferences and clikck update to get the latest ipod software update.
WHY>!??? I have the most updated version, and besides , i dont get an option to update software on my mac,,,,,but why would i need to in either case, if i have the latest software. Please help. I have spent my entire saturday troubleshooting this with no luck. I appreciate it. please.

When I updated to 1.1.2 my ipod software said it was up to date. I guess I did not see an option to update from ITunes 7.0., and no where on the apple site did i see a 1.2 version. (I guess thats what you meant when you say that they have done away with the ipod updater)
Does it make a difference that I update using a Windows computer using itunes 7.0 and then play my video on my mac. (I would guess that as long as the ipod software is 1.2 i'd be ok right?) This is where I am confused because right after updating to 1.1.2, i took my ipod and connected it to my mac and under ipod preferences, it did read 1.1.2
I am trying to avoid reformatting my ipod to mac since I have over 6,000 music tunes and videos which took me months to load.

I have videos but no sound

Starting yesterday I suddenly lost all sound connected to video on my computer. It's the same in FF and Chrome, but IE seems to work. Other applications, such as AT&T webinars, do work. Some Kim Komando videos have sound, some don't.
I looked through the articles and updated all my plug-ins. I've checked that my master volume control is not muted or otherwise lowered.
I don't know where to go from here.

Trying to download a family dvd to iMovie to edit. I have video but no audio

I am trying to download a family dvd to iMovie to edit. The DVD was originally done professionally but I want to attempt to fix some errors. The format of the dvd is UDF (if that helps). The video downloaded, but I have no audio.
Insert DVD
Open Disk Utility
Select disck and "New Image" and saved to desktop
Opened iMovie
Imported movie

Ipod Touch says I have wifi but it doesn't work

I have wifi and usually my Ipod Touch works but just recently it has stopped working. It says I have wifi and even the little bars show up but when ever I try to pull up an app that requires wifi it says it cannot retrieve download info please connect with iTunes. I have already tried to reset the network settings and even restored it.

How about some details about your wireless network?
Some things you can check real fast - go to Settings > WiFi. Do you have check mark next to your network name? If you tap the blue > next to the name, what does your IP address look like (if it is 169.x.x.x you are not connected to your network)?

Transferred .3gp file from Curve to PC Have video but no sound

Hello everyone! First post here and I am hoping that the BB experts could help me.
I recorded a video on my BB and wanted to transfer it to my Windows 7 PC. I was successful transfering the file via bluetooth to my pc. However, when I play the file (.3gp) in Windows Media Player I have no sound.
Any ideas?

You need an updated codec for media player or try it with an updated version of quicktime
or try VLC which seems to have it all.

IPod Classic will play movies/videos, but no music whatsoever.

Just recently got the iPod, secondhand, and had it restored and synced with my computer. I put all of my movies and music on it, which did not take up much space at all, and none of the songs will play. And this goes for both purchased and non purchased songs. they stay for about 5 seconds and then skip. However, all of the videos work.

You do not have a virus. As of right now there is no known virus for iOS devices.
What you got was a malicious ad that may have tried to install something, however since you were on an iPad and not a PC, it couldn't install.
Those ads either install malware or try to trick you into paying them to clean up a mess that either isn't there or that they just made.
Ignore it. Go into the settings, safari and clear your history - just to get rid of the trail and move on.
