Ipod to TV, Is there a way to get picture quality ?

I have the dock and av cables. I played a video that was downloaded from itunes.
The picture is distorted. Does anyone know how to get better picture quality?

Probably not. This is one of the problems with video from iTunes. If you have a large size screen or HDTV then iTunes video will likely not look 'good'.
If I remember correctly iTUnes video is 640x480.

My daughter restored her ipod in error, is there any way to get her library back?

It should all still be there in iTunes. Just reload the iPod from your iTunes library. Only the music on the iPod is gone, not the music in the library.
If she was synced with someone else's computer, then she will have to re-load from that computer.
If she bought music directly onto her iPod and never backed it up into iTunes (baaad idea), then she will have to contact Apple customer service for a one-time replacement on the purchases that she had on file.

  • HT4061 My ipod was stolen, is there a way of getting it back using the cerial number or other security information?

Someone has stolen my ipod. I do not have it with me, but is there another way to find the cerial number or another piece of information i could turn into the police? is there anyway of getting it back, Becuase i hav a good idea of who stole it, and i have some prove, but its just witness prove, no real prove.

    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to school and police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

  • I lost all of the contacts and photos on my iPhone after accidentally restoring it to my iPod's data, is there a way to get back that info?

I just got a new iPhone and it had not been backed up on my computer until now.  Are the contacts saved elsewhere?  It seems as though all of the stuff saved on my iPhone has been replaced with all of the stuff saved on my iPad touch, even the tabs I had open in Safari!  I can't find the back up of the stuff originally on my iPhone.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Most intelligent people would not store such sensitive data on a device that could so easily be lost, stolen, or damaged.  Even if they chose to do so, they would use the device as designed and regularly sync and backup that device as described in the User's Guide.
Have you done so?  If you have, all of the data is either in iCloud or iTunes on your computer.  Replace the device and restore the new iDevice with the backup of the old one.

  • Is there a way to get pictures from another backup?

I want to restore my iPod from a backup but at the same time I don't. I know in order to restore from backup you have to erase all content and settings. However, I have a lot of pictures on my ipod that I don't want to be erased; I have those pictures backed up I just want to know if there is a way to get the pictures from my earliest backup onto my ipod without going through all of that.

Restoring a backup is all or nothing, and if it's an iCloud backup, it requires you to erase the device in order to restore it.  What you can do is back up your device to your computer using iTunes (connect it to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of it in iTunes, then go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases and File>Devices>Back Up).  Then you can restore the backup you want (see iCloud: Restore your iOS device from iCloud), then import the recovered photos to your computer (see iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer), then restore the iTunes backup you made earlier (File>Devices>Restore from Backup).  If you want the photos back on your device, put them in a folder and sync them to your device by selecting the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.

  • I lost my ipod whilst travelling, is there a way to get the photos from it onto a new device using iCloud?

    Thanks

If you had turned Photo Stream 'On' , you can retrieve your photos as they should appear in 'Photo Stream' in iPhoto on a Mac or on an iPhone provided you are signed in using the same Apple ID as your iPod Touch

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
If for some reason you have failed to do this. not good, then you can redownload some itunes purchases in some countries:

  • Is there a way to get pictures that I have deleted from my camera roll and photo stream back on my phone?

I accidentally deleted pictures from my camera roll and they weren't in my photo stream (so I guess I must've deleted it from there too), and I want to know if there's a possible way to recover my old pictures.

You can either sync them back to your iPhone is you have them saved on a computer, or you can restore from a backup if you have one.  Those would be about your only options. iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

  • HT1212 any way to get pictures off a disabled iphone?

My daughter's iphone4 is disabled after too many attempts to enter her password.  Before we reset it, is there any way to get pictures/videos off the phone first?  The phone has never been connected to iTunes.

Luckily, the phone can be synced, backed up, or have pictures uploaded from the camera roll while it is locked.
iTunes will not let you access the phone if it's in a locked state. It will pop up with a message telling you, you must enter the passcode on the phone
Do you have a Mac or PC?
On a Mac anyway, iPhones and iPads are different.  An iPad will lock you out as you describe, whereas an iPhone will let you sync, backup, and upload pictures without unlocking it.
I just tested it and it worked fine.  Not long ago, we tested it the hard way when my son got a mild concussion, the only lasting effect of which was to make him forget his iPhone passcode (we theorize he had just reset it prior to the accident).
I don't know what happens on a PC.

Save all the photos from your Droid into a folder on your computer.
Connect your device to your computer. On iTunes left Pane, select iPhone under 'Devices'; then on the right Pane, select PHOTO tab.  Make sure Sync Photo box is checked, and "from" box selected the folder that has Droid's photos.  Then click the SYNC or APPLY button on the lower right window.

  • Is there any way to get my photos FROM my iPod Touch back onto a new hard drive?

My Mac crashed last Friday. First timeIs there any way to get my photos FROM my iPod Touch back into my new hard drive. The iTunes sync only goes one way from the computer to the iPod.
It syncs the photos taken with the iPod (really an old iPhone 3G without phone service) but not the folders which I synced from the old hard drive to the iPod over the past year.

    thank you for the tip.
Yes, my computer was backed up. for reasons way too complicated to go into here, these particular folders were not part of the backup.
    Thanks again for the help.

Only if a backup of the iPhone with all that data on it exists.  If one does, restore the iPhone using that backup.

  • Is there a way of getting your songs off your ipod?

Okay, so i have my ipod synced with a computer that i'll never see again. It was my ex boyfriends...is there a way of getting my songs off my ipod and on to my new computer or am i basically screwed if i want to add new songs?

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    TuneJack Windows Only
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iGadget Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    iRepo Mac and Windows
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows
There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.
