Ipod touch 2G: All App crash
This just happened couple days ago when I noticed that all my apps crash. The only apps that doesn't crash are the App store, mail, music, safari...etc. But the other app such as games crash right away when I click on it. The only way I can solve the crashing problem is when I download another app. Can someone help me with this problem?

If you only restored from backup try restoring to factory defaults/new iPod. If you still have the problem than an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Why does my Ipod touch Music/Video apps crash after update to OS4
Updated Ipod touch (64GB) yesterday to OS4. Today I cant run the Music or the Video apps. They will LOAD, but after 3 seconds, the crash. Any ideas?
Ive tried to do the reboot thing (DFU??) that I saw in another post but same issue.
Tried a search several times but have not seen any posts so far with this particular issue.I'm having the same issue as well, I'm currently at work so as of right now I can't try to restore mine, but the strange thing with mine is that I updated mine the day the iOS 4.0 came out and had no problems until last night. Now the music and video sections keep crashing after just a few seconds. Also all my Podcast are gone, the only things missing and I even re-downloaded them last night and they're still gone.

My 2nd gen iPod touch's music app crashes
It will crash as soon as a song is selected while headphones are plugged in. It won't even go to the Now Playing screen; it will just hang on the highlighted song for a few seconds and then crash. Works fine when nothing is plugged in, though. Sometimes it will work completely fine, but after restoring the iPod, the problem seems to have worsened after a day of perfect operation.
The iPod was a gift from a friend, and he had it for a while, so I don't think there's a warranty on it anymore. Help please??Try the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothiong is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
If yu still have a problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

my friend gave me ipod touch with all his accounts, i created new accounts but when i went on the appstore and tried to update apps installed by him,i was asked his account's password! i dont know his password.how can i use my account to update apps?
You can't. Apps and really all content purchased/downloaded through one Apple ID is forever tied to that Apple ID. In the case of Apps they will always request that Apple ID to update as they are licensed to that Apple ID.
In reality, the Apps were licensed to that Apple ID by the developer. And cannot simply be given away to you for you to use.
He should have wiped the iPod clean so you could set it up for your use without any of his accounts or purchased content as you are not really licensed to any of those Apps.

- A reset does not delete any media (apps, music etc) from the iPod.
- A restore will delete apps, music and other media from the iPod. If the media is in the iTunes library then a restore from backp will restore the media and after a restore to factory defaults/new iPod you can sync the media back to the iPod.

My ipod touch is all of a sudden not letting me do anything that requires using my password. I can't buy anything and I can't check my purchases. Every time I put in my password I get an error message and it says try again later. This has been happening for 4 days now. I can play my existing games just fine. I can access my itunes store through the internet just fine with my password, but just not on my ipod touch. I sent an email to the itunes support store 3 days ago and have not heard back from them. Does anybody have any suggestions on why this is happening all of a sudden after having the ipod for almost 2 years?
Something you can try is resetting it all Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings. Or go to Settings > Store & sign out & log back in. Another thing you can do is restore your ipod. This has happened to me but the only thing i did was that i created a new account but try doing the things above i just told you. :)

Sure. No problem.
Be aware that ALL purchases are permanently associated with whatever Apple ID was used to originally obtain them. Apps can not be updated without knowledge of that ID and, more importantly, its password. Apple IDs can not be merged and purchases can not be transferred from one ID to another.
Minor nuisance if you choose to update apps from inside the computer's iTunes. If you're logged into the "wrong" account, it's necessary to log out/in to do the update. It's easier if you update from the iPod itself. No need to log out/in but you do need to know the password for the ID. -

You can try:

I just want to know if you can get all of your pictures back when you update an ipod touch?
All of your music, apps, photos, videos, etc, should reside on your computer, not just on your easilly stolen,, lost or damaged prtable device.
A normal update, or even upgrade, restores all your settings and data from the backup thats created at the start of the process. Even if something goes wrong, you can sync back everything from your computer. -

Here goes. My iPod touch has all my songs on it. I have changed computers several times and iTunes has a library of similar but not as many songs as iPod. When I plug iPod in ans go to sync it says that iTunes library will replace iPod songs. I don't want this to happen I want the I pod songs to sync with iTunes. What do I do?

It might be logical to someone, but not to me. I agree it's a pain.
How did you change your Apple ID? Creating a new one is not what you want to do, but if you changed the ID associated with your purchases then that might have worked. You would need to sign in with the Apple ID on both your iPod Touch as well as in iTunes. I'm not sure how you changed it but clearly they need to match.
If it's just your password that is not getting recognized reset it here: http://iforgot.apple.com/
It will send an email confirmation to the email address associated with that Apple ID. The email address you elect to use might not look anything like your Apple ID. If you don't appear to get an email check your spam filter. -
How to create backup file on itunes for ipod touch 4g game apps data? Is there a way to do it? I want to try an app on my friend's computer, but you can't add apps on another computer without having your own ipod's data being deleted. Thx for any help!

You have set up Time Machine, right? that's how you'd do your backup, so I was told, and how I do my backup on my mac. You should be able to set a password for it. Save it. Your stuff should be saved there. So if you want to make your MacBook Pro your primary computer, I suppose, back up your stuff with Time machine, turn off Time machine on the iMac, turn it on on the new MacBook Pro, select the hard drive in your Time Capsule, enter your password, and do a backup from there. It might work, and it might take a while, but it should go. As for clogging the hard drive, I can't say. Depends how much stuff you have, and the hard drive's capacity. As for moving syncing from your iMac to your macbook pro, should be the same. Your phone uses iTunes to sync and so that data should be in the cloud. You can move your iTunes Library to your new Macbook pro

and re-authorize your new macBook Pro
time machine is an application, and should be found in the Applications folder. it is built in to OS X, so there is nothing else to buy. double click on it, get it going, choose the Hard drive in your Time capsule/Airport as your backup Time Machine and go for it. You should see a circle with an arrow on the top right hand of your screen (the Desktop), next to the bluetooth icon, and just after the wifi and eject key (looks sorta like a clock face). This will do automatic backups of your stuff.
