Ipod Touch 4th Gen audio with headphones is messed up

Hi,
So recently my 4th generation ipod touch has been having audio issues when headphones are plugged in. What it does it make the audio really loud and noisy. People talking or singing cannot be understood, it is completely static and muffled. Thing is, it does not do this all the time. Sometimes it works for a little period of time and then does it again. What's weird is that if I press on the screen above the home button it stops. Once I let go it starts again.
I restored my ipod. Nothing. I reset it completely. Nothing. I don't think it is a software problem.
Could it be my audio port? Another weird thing is that it works fine when plugged into speakers. Like if I plug a aux from speakers into it. Never does the noise.
I have above 5 different headphones and they all do this. The built in speaker on the ipod works fine too.
I'll probably end up taking it somewhere to get looked at, but just wanted to get an opinion on here first...

Regardless of what Apple may or may not say about repair work done by a third party (a non-Apple company or you yourself), the Magnuson-Moss Act precludes them from voiding your warranty simply because you had work done by a third party or used non-OEM parts. Typically people hear of thie Act as it is applied to cars. Car manufacturers cannot require you go to a dealership for repairs or that you use OEM parts. They cannot void your warranty for doing that. The Act applies to all consumer goods. Computer manufacturers cannot require you send your computer to them for memory upgrades or that you use memory supplied by them. Apple cannot require you to go to Apple for repair work or that you use Apple parts in that repair.
With that said, though, if you have a problem in the future, Apple could make the claim that it was the result of damage from improper repair or substandard parts. Your only recourse would be the court system, not a quick or inexpensive endeavor.

IPod Touch 4th Gen trouble with iOS5-iCloud

I trying to set up my daughters 4th GEN iPod touch with iOS5 and get it talking to iCloud. I've got everytthing set up for her on our iMac, and see is "in the cloud" as far as the Mac is concerned. After downloading iOS5 and installing it, I'm going through the brief setup procedure to get the iPod talking to iCloud. Everyhting goes well until the very end when I get a window that says: "Could Not Sign In. Apple ID couldn't be created because of a server error" Is this just Apple getting crushed, or am I doing something wrong?

Yes, I have restored from Backup via i-Cloud. I've restored the iPod to factory settings. It seem like there is a driver issue. I installed iOS 5.01 and updated iTunes to 10.5.3.3 at about the same time. Win-Vista64, iTunes and iPod are all up to date. Apple Genius, at local Apple store was also perplexed. He suggested I ask the community. So, here I am.
It is strange that I can connect to other computers. But, the other computers have Win 7. Could this be a Vista64 driver issue?

Ipod touch 4th gen earphone jack+headphone easily disconnected

Hi. Is there anyone else having the problem for Ipod Touch 4G wherein the headphones get disconnected easily from the jack? It gets kind of annoying esp. when listening to music and placing the ipod in my pocket because just a little bit of movement pauses the track. The earphone is not disconnected all the way but the ipod recognizes it as unplugged. I've tested pulling the earphone while music is playing and even with minimal force the music already gets paused. I also tried using other earphones and it seems to be the same (also using my sister's Ipod Touch 4G, the same problem exists). Is this a design flaw or are both of our headphone jack's busted? Any insight would be much appreciated.

Ive recently gotten a 4th gen Ipod Touch brand new and everything. I tried to plug it into my 06 Ford Focus which has the HD Radio Simple brand, and for some reason it shows what song im playing yet won't play it over the car stereo. Its rediculous and all it says on my Ipod was that "this accessory is not supported by Ipod Touch" even though that is exactly what is advertised in the "Simple" radio system!! In the manuel it says that I need to download the latest firmware?? I checked the Apple website and could'nt find it, i have no clue what to do.

So I've been trying for about a month or so to sync my iPod Touch to iTunes but ever since i updated it to iTunes 11 it has been saying that i need to uninstall it and install the 64 bit version. I've done that twice this week alone and its still not working, saying again that i need the 64 bit which I already have. I've ended up completely erasing previous iTunes data to see if that would help, but that just ended up being more hassle. I don't think its just my iPod, because it refuses to sync my iPad 2 manually as well.
Please help me, i'm at my wits end.

You are very perceptive - has nothing to do with your ipod, has to do with your Windows. You can try couple things.
One - reinstall itunes "apple way" and when downloading disable your anitvirus.

Then disable your antivirus and go to step three.

Okay so I have an iPod Touch 4th gen 16gb with the latest iOS, and I have been receiving my notifications late since I
bought it. Whatever the notification, I will receive it 5 minutes late,5 hours late or even not at all(which is most-likely always the case)
Sometimes though, I will receive the notifications for all the opened apps on time,but that will just last a few minutes.No, I do not have Don't disturb on nor do I have my notifications off. Any tips?

No, that would seem to be a network problem. You can try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to rejoin all networks.

My ipod touch 4th gen won't pair with my aluratech istream universal bluetooth audio receiver. It automatically paired the first time I used it, but now will not pair. I removed the bluetooth receiver from the ipod because it kept saying make sure the receiver device is on and within range. Now it doesn't even detect the bluetooth receiver. Any ideas?

You can only sync with one computer. I would backup to one computer and then restore from backup.

My 8gb ipod touch (4th gen) won't sync with itunes. Running itunes 11.4 on OSX 10.6.8
My touch was running fine until one day I found about 3gb occupied by 'other' space. I ended up restoring my ipod which took care of the problem, but created a new one in that the ipod will no longer sync anything from my itunes library. I have music set up to sync selected artists, and when I click the checkboxes to select my albums and artists to sync, the 'audio' bar fills up.
When I click 'apply', the 'starting sync' and progress bar pop up for like half a second then disappear. Same goes with photos, apps, podcasts, etc.

Verify that you have the right boxes checked to sync?
