IPod touch 5 disabled/locked
Hello, I have an iPod touch 5, with iOS 7, and I forgot the screen lock code, so it got disabled and the screen says "iPod disabled, please contact iTunes." My problem is that I have never made an iCloud backup, so I need to know if there is any way to unlock the iPod without having to restart and lose everything. I will be really pleaseful if someone could help me with that. Thanks
Hello iariordax
Check in iTunes if you have a back up in iTunes. If you do, then you can go through steps to put your iPod touch into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. If you do not have a back up, then there is not much you can do to get the information back.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled

My daughter's ipod touch is locked due to too many incorrect password attempts (thanks to her little brother). It is displaying the red bar that states ipod is disabled connect to itunes. Problem is we don't have the computer that the ipod was originally synced with and she doesn't want to reset the ipod. In this instance we know the password.. so is there anyway to get the ipod to ask us one more time to enter the password? I'm not sure how many incorrect attempts were made, but it doesn't state anything about try again in so many minutes.. help, please!
No. Start with the last paragraph of:
Disabled

For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
If you previously synced to the computer then you may be able to recover use of the iPod without erasing the iPod by following the instructions here:
Disabled Recovery-must use syncing computer. -

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Thgen the iPod needs a wifi connection to the internet and yo need another iPod, iPhone or iPad with the FindMyiPhone app. you can also yse any computer too
Only if:
If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone and use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
You can also wipe the iOS device by installing the FindMyiPhone app on another iOS device and using that app to wipe the device.
Via USB with any computer with iTunes and an internet connection
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
