IPod touch home button Problems
Sometimes my home button on my 4g iPod touch is unresponsive, usually after being asleep for a while but not always. Or sometimes 1 click registers as 2, I already tried a restore so if I go to the genius bar and they can't duplicate the issue will they still give me a replacement or not. And also if I get one will it be new or refurbished I am still under warranty by the way.
If you bought it less than a year ago or have AppleCare, then it is in warranty and can be replaced for free.

IPod touch home button jammed?!
Hello, this morning I came to my ipod touch, only to find that the home button was jammed!! By jammed, i mean it is stuck a little too far into the home button socket, and takes an enormous amount of pressure for the iPod to register that it has been pushed. I am currently out of warranty, so should I try to find a "do-it-yourself-guide?" or should I take it in to Apple Store or Best Buy? Thanks so much and ill be looking foward to what you have to say!

Ipod touch home button is faulty
I am having problems with getting my ipod touch home button to work properly. Is this a new issue or is it simply because I have used it so much? I don't remember it happening after a software update.

Ipod touch home button stuck and the power will not turn on
Can someone help me? My daughter's ipod touch 4th generation has a stuck home button. We have changed the settings so that the alternate home button is on the screen; however, while she was using it earlier, the ipod shut off and will not turn back on. We have tried to plug it in, hold the power button, etc. Since the home button doesn't work, we can't hold the power and home buttons simultaneously as recommended. Any other ideas?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
When it says place the iPod in recovery mode, place the iPod in recovery mode using:
For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
or

If necessary:
Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
and

RecBoot may have problems on 64X windows, then try:
Tenorshare ReiBoot – Enter & Exit iPhone, iPad, iPod Recovery Mode with a Single Click
For MAC or PC
The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
Installs blootware on PC too
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

IPod Touch Home Button Barely Working
I have a 32GB iPod Touch. I got it in August 2008 and have taken very good care of it since then. Yesterday I noticed that the Home button wasn't working like it used to. I had to really mash it down or hold it down for the home button to respond. Does anyone know why this might be happeneing or how to fix it.
I just read that someone else just posted a similar problem, but mine is different in that it still works, just not well.I have had a shield on since I first bought the Touch. I thought that might be the problem so I took it off today and the problem persisted. That's why I came to ask here.

I got my Ipod touch 4g used with an iOS of 4.3.3 on December 25th, 2011. It was February 7th, 2013 when the home button stopped working. Everytime I try to press the home button...it won't budge!
I have already restored it, got my data back on and deleted the other person's stuff, but I still can't update my iOSo the newest version so I will have the assistive hime button. Also, Ive already tried alchol but that won't work either. I don't have the money to go to apple or afford a new one. What should i do to fix this quickly without screwing my Ipod Touch up? I would really appreciate your help!
Thanks.

Yes, I have an iPod Touch which I just upgraded to the latest 2.2.1 software a few weeks ago. Now my "Home Button" will not take me back to the main screen anymore. I have to completely turn it off and restart it to switch screens and applications.
Do you know how I can fix this? It is becoming a pain to work with.
Thank you in advance.I am not sure if this helps, but one of my mom's friends said to place a drop of alcohol (rubbing) just on the button and it will work, or at least it did for hers. So I tried that and it works (for a little while), which has got me to wondering, if it is stuck?
