Ipod Touch is slow after upgrade

The upgrade to iOS5 for my iPod Touch went fine but now my ipod locks up and is VERY slow to respond. If I am using an app and playing music the music will stop and it takes forever to open the app. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes. I´m having the same problem to. My iPod is much slower and i´m considering returning to previous 4.3.5! Typing is slower, Web navigation is slower, some sites freeze, Apple store is slower and is constantly freezing...total disapointing! Hope they are not still crying on Steve Jobs grave and start to work on a new update.

I've an iPod touch 16GB firmware version 3.1.2. I let it sync with my iMac (2006 white plastic) running Mac OS X 10.4.11. I've just upgraded my iTunes form 9.01 to 9.02, and my iMac does not recognize iPod touch when I plug-in the USB connector. I can't see iPod touch in the iTunes, and the iPod touch does not even show the charging screen.
Then I tried to connect iPod touch to my MacBookPro 13" 2009 running Mac OS X 10.6.2 and iTunes 9.0.2, and it works just what it should be.
Does iTunes 9.0.2 incompatible with Mac OS X 10.4.11 ?
I'll try to do some self-cleaning tasks and try it again.

After repairing permission and clearing cache, now it worked.

I upgraded my iPod Touch 4G from iOS 4.3.5 to iOS 5.0. After the upgrade, the iPod Touch is stuck on the "Connect to iTunes" screen, and is not seen by iTunes. Does anyone know why this happened, and more importantly how I can reload iOS 4.3.5? Thanks for any information you can provide.

Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple.
Try resetting your iPod. Nothing will be lost.

IPod Touch locked up after upgrading to 2.0.2. Can I get it back?

Last night, I upgraded to 2.0.2, and let it install completely.
Then I saw that the Cube Runner app was upgraded to 1.2. I started the install process on the iPod to download and install the app via my WiFi connection.
When I woke up this morning, It appeared to lock up during the install. the WiFi star that rotates when data passes through was stopped, and the progress bar of the install was still about half.
I give it a reboot by pressing both buttons. I plug it into my laptop with iTunes on it, and it turns on with the apple logo, and nothing's happened since.
What can I do to recover this?

try putting your ipod touch into dfu mode by holding the sleep/wake button and home button for 10 seconds, then let go of the sleep/wake button (make sure it is connected to your computer) and continue to hold the home button for 10 to 15 seconds or until itunes reads it as an iphone in recovery mode that needs to be restored, if you need more help on this just go to youtube and type in dfu mode in the search field

Ipod Touch Overcapacity Error after Upgrade to itunes 11

I just upgraded to itunes 11 and when I tried to connect my 32gb ipod touch it would not sync because it was over capacity by over 40gb.
I have a 64 bit windows 7 os.
What I have tried so far:
1) reboot ipod
2) reboot computer
3) Restore ipod
4) uninstall and reinstall itunes
None of that has worked.
I have unchecked every single thing within the menu so that there are ZERO FILES on my ipod but it still shows over capacity by 10 gb even when it is actually 100% empty.
I have saw other instructions that said this might have to do with the AAC conversion using a bad estimator but even when i unchecked that there was no change.
All of the extra usage seems to be tied into the "audio" category.

So I went ahead and upgraded my itunes to 10.5, and got the newest download for my touch (can't remember what number it is). Now when I went to sync my ipod itunes didn't recognize my ipod, and when I went through and did everything the tech manual said with the whole msconfig stuff, it worked for a little while. Went ahead and synced my ipod and none of my music showed up as being in the ipod, but on teh ipod usage it showed them all as being there. So I restarted my computer and turned off my ipod thinking that will work. Logged on my computer about 30 minutes later and now my ipod isn't being recognized by my computer again. Please help.

And now my other 2 ipod touches are not showing up on itunes as being recognized. Someone please help.

After I upgraded to iOS 5, the entire iPod, everything on it, became super slow. I can't even check my mail anymore because it takes like 30 minutes to fetch new mail. Safari is slow too. Do you think it has something to do with the router? All the laptops that are using the same router are still running fast though. I hate iOS 5! Help!

The whole device became very lag , even worse i can't open some app cause crashed.
What i done is connect to iTunes with my iPod gen4 and iOS4.3.5 in Windows 7 ,and restore it .
First you have to enter the "DFU mode" , shut down your iPod 1st and hold the power button and home button and the same time, and then release the power button after 4 second with holding the home button another 10 second , your device may enter the DFU mode
Second , open your iTunes , select "Restore" .
After i restore my iPod then everything is fine again , try on yours =]

I've got a 1st gen ipod touch and bought the upgrade software from i-tunes to upgrade it to 3.1.1 so I can add apps to my ipod touch. It started off well but then just froze!! My ipod touch has the apple logo and a progress bar which is partly completed. I left it for ages and nothing progress and when I checked Itunes it said it was no longer responding. i did every tricks might help like disabling Background Apps and turning of Documents and Data syncing in iCloud also Increase Contrast and restoring it to factory default....
it's still very slow in any action needed also there is a lot of bugs when using it like canceling the call but it's not apprearing in the lock screen or it appears but when sliding it it's opening another notification... touch is very laggy ..

I have the same problem...sometimes it even freezes...I have to close some of the applications from background to resolve the freezing and improve speed....but it never regains the speed it had before the update.
I am also interested in going to the older version if I could.

My macbook is running slow after upgrading to yosemite

Other's have posted similar experiences by when I ran etrecheck I didn't get a bunch of fails and yet my computer is extremely sluggish since moving from snow leopard to Yosemite. So much so, that I'm considering going back. Programs load slowly and switching between programs has a delayed response. Reminds me of the PC I had before I bought my macbook in 2008.
Any ideas on what might be causing the slow down?

Also resetting SMC could solve the problem.

A data recovery company MAY be able to do it for a price. The Disabled is a very good security feature.
JWhy not just restore from the last backup you have?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
