IPod Video Quality better than iPhone?

I have most of The Office episodes (from iTunes) on my iPod and iPhone. My iPod is a lot more crisp. It's almost as the iPod is HD and the iPhone isn't.. 100% blurry and the color isn't as good.
Anyone else see a clear difference?

Definitely no difference on mine when compared against my iPod Video 30GB. Now there is definitely more noticeable compression artifacts and such because you are blowing up a tiny, heavily compressed, video onto a larger screen. Trying hooking it up to a large HD TV and see how much worse it looks.

IChat video quality better with .Mac subscriber than with AIM?

The quality of my video chats with one brother who also has a .Mac account is noticeably better than my chats with another brother, who uses iChat with an AIM account. I'm in the US, they are both in UK. All of us have almost identical iMacs. The one with the AIM account supposedly has a faster Internet connection. My question: is the video quality of iChat better if both users have .Mac accounts than if one has an AIM account?

The Screen names make no difference.
It is about a combination of Proccessor, Video card in iChat 4, internet Connection and settings and the amount of Bandwidth you get out of that connection.
As Defcom (UK) has said start with those basic Settings.
In iChat 3 and 2 the Quicktime setting when on Automatic is read as a 0 (zero) and this effectively Caps iChat.
In iChat 4 the Automatic setting is seen as 384k which is the MINIMUM for a 4 way chat.
As far as an Internet Connection goes this should be at Least 100k in both Up and Downloads.
Due to some data stream management to cut down on Peer-to-Peer file Sharing it pays to limit iChat in the Video Section Bandwidth Limit section to slip under the Radar as it were. There are two main ISP doing this Comcast and Road Runner in the States.
Verizon offer a FioS fibre service that is not that stable in speeds and jumps all over the place which is then too fast for iChat to keep up and that should use the cap in iChat Preferences as well.

IMovie capture quality better than anything FCP can offer for consumer DV?

As a newbie to FCP, I have not found Capture, sequence, and export settings that is equal to or better than what iMovie 08 can create. Prior to this, I've been using iMovie 08 which is extremely user friendly. Just plug in the fire wire connections and it auto detects only one setting for DV. I am not sure what format it captures in but it does a good job. When I export out of iMovie 08 I use "using Quicktime" and choose the Uncompressed 8-bit NTSC method. The result is a decent, non-interlaced looking .mov file.
The first time I tried to capture with FCP I chose the easy setup, where I would capture in the NTSC DV, sequence would be NTSC DV and export using the current settings in quicktime. The result was an interlaced and lowered quality vid.
I have also tried the following combinations with no success with quality comparisons w/ iMovie 08:
capt: NTSC dv, seq: NTSC DV, progressive exp: Uncompressed 8-bit
capt: Uncompressed 8-bit, seq: Uncompressed 8-Bit exp: Uncompressed 8-bit
This last one came close, but still iMovie 08 was better.
My assumption is that FCP would contain the settings to duplicate or even out perform iMovie's export quality for consumer video dv. I viewed iMovie as little brother and FCP as big brother. Shouldn't FCP produce equal to or better quality than iMovie 08? And what are the settings for this?

Thank you for clearing up my confusion. How is my export from iMovie 08, using "Uncompressed 8-bit" coming out progressive (I see no interlaced, odd/even scan lines)? Is this export dropping lines/information? If so, uncompressed is not an appropriate name for the export.
I understand what you are saying about "getting quality back" on export. My initial question was comparing the quality of an iMovie 08 export vs. FCP export and having the problem of a lowered output from the FCP export.
If anyone has the time, would they try a short experiment:
1. From your DV source, camera or deck connect to your computer
Capture a short clip via iMovie 08 a short clip in standard 4:3.
Export using Quicktime, Uncompressed 8-bit setting
2. From your DV source, camera or deck, connect to your computer.
Capture the same short clip to FCP using Easy set up for NTSC DV. Export with current settings.
3. Compare the two.

C7 camera - better than iphone?

I find my C7 camera rather nice, better than the reviews so say.
Just wonder what people think - and how does it compare to the iphone camera?

I think it takes excellent photos myself.
Regarding the iphone no idea about the quality of camera.People have their own opinions of quality too.

I brought my new iPod Touch 5G on Jan 10 during Chinese New Year Special. Is there anyway for iPod Touch 5th Generation better than old iPod Touch 3G? iPod Touch 5G has A5 chip. It can be running fast. Please tell me is better or not? I like the new iPod Touch better. :)

I guess no one from Apple reads these things? I'd like to know the same thing. I used DVD Fab and it saved it 1.2GB and it looks great on iTunes but is choppy on the iPhone 3GS. Can we have answers to the questions? Some time this year?

Lumia 920 better than iPhone 5

Looks like Nokia should have waited until after the iPhone 5 was released to announce the 920, would have made the 920 look a whole lot better than it already is!

I may have corrected the problem. It took several starts of iTunes, each time navigating to my podcasts and right clicking on 2-3 and unsubscribing from them before it went to 25%, became unresponsive, and required shut down from the task manager.
As soon as they were all unsub'd, iTunes went silent on CPU usage. The APSDaemon.exe shot up to 25%, but a reboot and a restart has everything quiet. I've accessed the store, played some songs, downloaded one. So far, so good.
I'll be back here to report any change.

Why are Ipod Apps better than Iphone Apps?

There are some really nice apps available to the ipod touch that aren't available to the Iphone. Go search Ipod apps in the Itunes store and you will see what I am talking about. How come the same apps aren't available for both devices?

oops, they are not on the touch they are for the nano, and reg ipod. Still I am sure there is a way to develope them for the iphone.

How are you-tube video quality on the iphone

I tried to access some of the videos on youtube on my new iphone and I wasnt that impressed looking at the picture quality. So wanted to check if there is any setup that I am missing, or is this the best streaming/quality that we get on the phone.

Original iPhone Better than iPhone 4?

I have been using the very original iPhone for years, and upgraded to the iPhone 4 as soon as I could. The day I switched phones I lost all coverage inside my office. I now have the new bumper from Apple, but it's still not even close to the awesome coverage of the original. Any ideas on better bumpers to get or a way to solve this?

Try switching 3G off and using Edge connection. Since you were using the original iPhone, you were on Edge only and saw that better coverage.
The minute you switch to iPhone 4, you started using 3G. Your office may not have good 3G coverage there and better coverage on Edge.

Ipod sound quality worse than iTunes

I'm not too knowledgable in this area so this may be an obvious answer to some. Though my ipod doesn't seem defective, I've noticed that sound quality seems to decrease (compared to listening to songs on iTunes with the same headphones). Is this decrease in quality, which is not huge but still noticeable, an expected occurence?

Was pre-ordering the ipod touch 5G better than buying it?

I pre ordered the ipod touch 5th generation in September and i was wondering if i should have waited to buy it in October.

I feel like the price won't really change on them, even on Black Friday they usually are only about 10 dollars cheaper or you get a 10$ giftcard or something. And the reason the wait is so long is because it hasn't been released yet, but you probably know that. Have a nice day.
