Is an iPad mini with retina display the complete same size as an iPad mini without retina display?

I'm trying to find a good sleeve for my new Ipad mini (with retina display), but keep coming across two options.
1) Sleeve for iPad mini with retina display
2) Sleeve for iPad mini
Is there a difference in size? I'm mainly asking as I've found one I would like, but it doesn't mention the retina display..
Hope someone out there has an answer to my question.
Thanks,
Kat

There is a .3mm difference in depth.

    Hi Mario,,,,
I tried everything in your reply,,, thank you again,, I had done that once before and all was working great,,
I have just now tried the Reinstall via iTunes, about 20 into the download, the iTunes logo on the phone disappeared, and the Apple Logo appeared again,,, I waited until the iTunes stated that the download had finished, and the install was in progress,,,
Nothing happened, still the Apple Logo was visual on the screen, iTunes never recognised the phone which it was on my iTunes account previously,,,
Still just a bunch of lines, maybe 5 or 6 so small writing,, I personally can not read what it is telling me, someone said it reads, incorrect shutdown,,,????????
    Please advise,???
I am now at a loss,,, I really became excited when I saw the iTunes icon after putting the phone into restore,,,???
    Thank you again

It's unlikely that hackers are the problem, but there's no way of knowing for sure. In the meantime, you've done exactly the right thing: create a new Apple ID (or change the password on your old ID.

None of the spreadsheet apps that work with Excel files offer anything like full native support in iOS.  Apple's own Numbers app pairs down features for the iOS version.  The hardware is simply not up to what a true computer is capable of, so all apps like QuickOffice, DocumentsToGo, Numbers and so forth offer reduced features from their computer-version counterparts.
I think a custom app will be your only real choice, be it a fully standalone app, or something built in filemaker or some other db-based platform.

Curios text in one of three computers when displaying the very same mail in outlook.
I run Outlook 2003 under Windows 8.1.1 in all of my 3 computers. 70% of the mail from the same sender are shown OK in the actual computer and 100% of the very same mail are shown OK in the two other computers. If I forwards an OK received
mail from one of the “100%”, it will be received OK in the “70%” as well. For me the wrong displayed mail shows up as some kind of vector-descriptors (non converted html?). All links in blue are displayed ok and most of the text is readable in an unformatted
way. When it comes to logos etc it’s not readable at all. What to do?

  • Ensuring my partitions are the *exact* same size

I want to partition my primary hard disk such that it has numerous partitions that are the *exact* same size. I want to be able to copy them around and onto each other (via dd) so it is imperative that every partition equal the others in size.
I've determined that I want my partition size to be 17211 MB. So I'm using fdisk to create partitions of that exact size. Namely, I wiped the partition table, then started creating partitions using the first available cylinder and using +17211M for the size. Then using the 'p' option I listed the new altered partition table and now under "blocks" the number of blocks for the new partitions is identical (16812022+, to be specific). So far so good.
However, I've run out of primary partitions and would like to jump to using an extended partition. So I created an extended partition using the rest of the disk, then used the first cylinder that the extended partition started on as the first cylinder of my next partition  used +17211M for the partition size. However, this time using 'p' showed that my new partition didn't have the same number of blocks as the previous (primary) ones. This problem was solved, though, by deleting the partition and recreating it starting with the first cylinder *after* the first cylinder of the extended partition.
But, I had a problem with the next partion on the extended region. If I start it on the first available unused cylinder and make it +17211M in size, it doesn't show as having the same number of blocks as the other partitions.
I've included a terminal dump of what fdisk is showing me thus far, to help make it clear:
    Command (m for help): p
    Disk /dev/sda: 81.9 GB, 81964302336 bytes
    255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 9964 cylinders
    Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
    /dev/sda1 1 13 104391 83 Linux
    /dev/sda2 14 2106 16812022+ 83 Linux
    /dev/sda3 2107 4199 16812022+ 7 HPFS/NTFS
    /dev/sda4 4200 9671 43953840 5 Extended
    /dev/sda5 4201 6293 16812022+ 83 Linux
    /dev/sda6 6294 8386 16811991 83 Linux
It's the second partition under "Extended" that I can't get to be the right number of "blocks".
I guess I should ask, to be sure, if "blocks" even has anything to do with size. It seems like partitions with different numbers of blocks should be different in size, but is that really so? Or am I getting worked up over nothing?
Also, on the topic of blocks, what's the + after the block count from some of the partitions imply?

Nothing in specific, just general convenience. My reasons have varied over time. Back in the days of Ubuntu, upgrading from one version to another instead of performing a clean install was a game of roulette, so I'd always dd my Ubuntu partition to another drive right before I went to school for the day (even though the dd would only take about 20 minutes), then come back and upgrade. If the upgrade didn't go as smoothly as I wanted and I didn't deem it worth my time to sit and manually fix everything I'd just restore the old copy via dd (or even just use that one as my primary OS) and wait for a time I wanted to do a clean install.
A while ago I also used to backup Windows to another partition, just in case the current version became infected with something. Never happened (that I knew about, at least) so I stopped bothering.
More recently I've used it for when I'm lazy and don't want to bother undoing my steps. If I install something, configure it, do some stuff and break it, it may be faster to restore with a 20 minute dd than 30 minutes of hacking.
And I can be a bit compulsive in the organization compartment. Ever seen the TV show Monk? I'm nowhere near that bad ( ) but everytime I fdisk -l and I see unevenly-sized partitions all for the same job, I become less than pleased. I've been looking at it for a long time now, and figured I'd take some free time to fix it.
In short, nothing terribly practical, it's just somewhat convenient/organized.

  • Do Mac Mini and Macbook Pro Retina use the exact same i7 processor?

If not why do I get the exact same info from both computers:
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3615QM CPU @ 2.30GHz
    Processor Speed: 2.3 GHz
    Number of Processors: 1
    Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
    L3 Cache: 6 MB
Isn't it strange that they are using a mobile CPU in a desktop computer?

One way to tel is the the specs for the laptop

    Says it has

    Say it has

The graphis for both are integrated with the CPU chip

  • I bought a mac mini with Lion pre-installed.  If I upgrade my mac mini to Mountain Lion, am I free to install Lion on my older macbook using the mini license?

I currently have two macs.  A 2008 macbook which is running Snow Leopard, can run Lion, and cannot run Mountain Lion.  I also have a mac mini which came with Lion pre-installed.  I plan on upgrading my mini to Mountain Lion when it's available.  After I upgrade, it seems like I should be able to install Lion on my macbook using the license that came with my mini.
I have found many articles about making a DVD or bootable USB drive to recover, or install Lion onto other macs.  So, I am not tied to the mac app store.  And I am not worried about how to install Lion onto the macbook.
I have also read a few discussions about upgrading using pre-installed Lion license.  From what I've read, if someone buys Lion through the app store, they can install it on all of their macs.  But, if they have a machine the came with Lion pre-installed they can only use Lion on one machine.  However it is unclear if that license can be transferred to another machine.
Another common answer that I have seen is, "Don't be cheap!  Just buy Lion throught the app store."  This is not about money, I'm interested in the technical challange, and the leagal question.
Does anyone have experience with this, or opinions?

If your machine came with Lion preinstalled, you cannot use it on another machine. It is tied to the machine it came with. You are allowed to make a one time transfer of the OS when you sell the machine as long as it remains with that machine.
If you purchase Lion from the app store, you are free to install it on as many Macs as you own - however, if/when you sell one of those Macs, you are required to uninstall Lion as the license is not transferable and you need to reinstall the original OS.
You can read the SLA for yourself - the link to the downloads to all licenses is here:

  • I can't sync my iPad 3 with iTunes using the new Macbook Air

When I connect my iPad 3 with its original cable to my new MacBook Air, the charge symbol in the iPad starts to blink and the iTunes keeps connecting and disconnecting the iPad (more than one time per second).
I can sync my old iPhone 3GS with the new Macbook Air and I can sync both iPhone and iPad with my old 2009 MacBook.
I found similar questions in the forum, but didn't find a solution. I can charge my iPad using the outlet, by I still need to backup and sync the iPad.
    BTW, every software is updated.

Hello, I think you're out of luck with the toolbar, but not on 10.9 to check right now, you can change the minimum font size used in Safari Prefereces for web pages.
Perhaps Zoom will work for you...

  • Reconfiguring an iPad 2 with different content after transferring content to a new iPad 3?

My wife and I bought new iPad 3s with the intent of transfering our data from the old iPad 2s and giving those to our grandchildren. Since my new iPad 3 is now synced with iTunes, how do I go about removing the old content from the iPad 2s and loading new, child-friendly games and movies without confusing teh syncs with the new iPad 3s? It's probably simple, but I'm leery of causing problems with one or the other iPad.

  • How do I display the complete time sequence for a video clip in iMovie?

How do I display the time complete time sequence for a video clip in iMovie?
I'm trying to create a movie for someone where they provided me the video clips and what time sequences they want extracted.  For example:  Video footage from time 5m22s to 9m:18s and 11m17s to 15m31s from the imported video clip.  I know you can select video but I cannot figure out how to select from those requested time markers.
    Any help would be apreciated.

Open the file using QuickTime Player and then open the Movie Inspector window.

  • LR - Using Lightroom with Two Monitors | The Complete Picture with Julieanne Kost | Adobe TV

In this episode of The Complete Picture, Julieanne Kost shows you how to use 2 monitors to take advantage of Lightroom's dual monitor solution.
    http://adobe.ly/AjnR8P

This was helpful, Julieanne, however, I have one more question on custom sort order. I am trying to sort a Collection that is made up of photos from several different import files. It's a vacation collection where I have created a different file for each day of the vacation as well as by who took the photos. So i have a file for my daughter's shots, my shots, my son's, etc, to keep things organized. Now that i have selected the "best of" from each original import file, I have created a new User Collection where I am putting them all together. The problem is, my entire Collection won't sort. I want to sort them all by capture time, but LR keeps grouping them by the original file source, and only sorting by capture time within each group. Can you help?

  • Making sure photos are the exact same size

I am creating before and after photos and need to make sure that each are the same size.  I will have groups of 2 side by side and then groups of 6 with 2 across and 3 down.  Once I create them in layers, is there a way that I can check to make sure that each of the photos is exactly the same size?   I have turned on grid and rulers, but wondered if there was any easier way to look at the pixle size of each individual photo?

Consider making templates to the exact size required for your project. Here is a method which can be modified by changing the numbers to suit, but once set up can be used over and over again. It is a bit tedious - -
Open a new, blank file (File>new>blank file) and set width & height in the inch size of your paper stock (4x6"), resolution 300px/in, background white (can be any color)
Access the rectangular marquee tool, and in the the tool's option bar select "Fixed size", and put in 3.75x2.75", for example. Turn on the grid and snap to grid via View>grid & snap to grid. You can configure the grid via Edit>preferences>Guides and grids if you want to.
Duplicate the background layer, and create the first box by clicking with the rectangular marquee tool. Position the box, then fill it with 50% gray (Edit>fill selection, and under contents select 50% gray.) Select>deselect gets rid of the marching ants
Repeat for the next box. You should now have a document containing two rectangular boxes filled with 50% gray.
Select the first box that you wish to fill (ultimately with the picture) with the magic wand tool. On the tool's option bar be sure that contiguous is checked. You should see "marching ants" around the selection, indicating that it is active.
Open picture 1, go to Select>all, Edit>copy, then go to your layout as completed in step #5, and Edit>paste into selection
Your image will be larger that the rectangular box, but you can drag it around to position the person that you wish to display. CTRL+T will allow you to resize the image with the corner handles, and to maneuver it
Repeat for picture 2 with the 2nd box
