Please help! after upgrading my ipod touch 4gen to ios5 cover flow is really buggy and slow! any fixes?

Hi, i have the same problem, restore the device two times, and put the music in auto sync, and manually, a few albums, a lots albums, the problem is the same, and in the album list the problem persist but is less problematic.
This is a huge bug, is an IPOD, is for music!!!!
For other way, the "STORE" button is a crap, only think in U$S, "STORE" here, "STORE" there, in all places.
Another thing, the "GESTURES" is thinking for IPAD device, Some functions should be disabled from the interface., for that i have an option what dont have any funcion to me?!

Cover flow on iPhone4 with iOS5?

I just upgraded to iOS5 on my iPhone4! Now the cover flow is messed up, and moves slow and when I get to artists that start with the letter "E" it skips away a couple of albums to another letter! Also the name of artist is not shown on 4 albums although they are properly tagged with the artists name! Why is this?

Yup, tried that. Still see the same problem.
For example, I just went into an inbox and deleted 5 emails from an inbox then went back up into the Mailbox interface. The inbox still displays 5 new emails waiting and the status bar at the bottom says "Connecting to mail..." After 15-20 seconds, it finished doing whatever it was doing and the number 5 disappears from the inbox list.
In the past, the "5" would have disappeared right away. Reseting the phone didn't fix anything.
What is the phone checking on now after upgrading to iOS5 that it wasn't checking on before?

Is anyone else experiencing the following with the new IOS5 update?

1. Browser pick lists do not work - Apple roller for dates and numbers does not open
2. Webpage links only work intermittently - you can tap the link but the navigation or functionality does not work
3. WiFi drops periodically
4. Battery life is seriously diminished
5. App functionality is broken even when they have been updated for IOS5
6. Streaming - video is less crisp and clear - more blurry/fuzzy/sluggish
7. Internet pages will not open
8. Navigation using the back browser carat navigates you all the way back to the entry page rather than the previous page - not the website - confirmed on Android
9. Response time is sluggish in general
10. Even with Skyfire nothing Flash will work at all
11. Mail will not let you reply or show content - not related to blocked content
12. General Facebook issues- difficult to view notifications, chat shut down and can not be found, navigation difficulties
13. Unable to message compatible contacts at all - recognizes the IPad or iPhone contact but no send button
14. When typing passwords misses digits even though I can clearly see them being typed in

None of the issues you describe occur on my iPad in iOS 5.
To begin with, reset your iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake + Home buttons at the same time, until you see the Apple logo appear.

You could try closing all apps completely and do a reset to see if that helps. To close all apps : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
To reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I think it is just a bug, but it in very frustrating. I was using just now for about an hour and suddenly the correct artwork appeared for what was playing....but then all went wrong again!!
Apple, please, please issue a patch for this. It surely cannot be too complicated to correct.

Cover Flow Lags/Choppy

I use iTunes 8 on quite a high spec pc. (dells xps m1730, core 2 duo 2.4 ghz w 4 gig ram on vista home premium - sli 8800m GTX) The cover flow is a bit laggy like it's running at only 5 fps. On my Windows XP laptop with lower spec it flows smooth. Now my Vista machine is very fast in everything else & from a gaming perspective is great so I find the poor cover flow on iTunes strange (everything else on ITunes is fine). Even cover flow in the iTunes store browsing films etc lags. Is this a common problem? Maybe vista is a culprit? It's not a major problem but is definetely an annoyance.

I don't know the solution to your problem but "not messing with your graphics card drivers" is not a good philosophy to have, particularly if you play games on it like you say. A good deal of the problems you'll have with anything on your computer are driver issues and not updating drivers is a good way to let problems crop up.
Pretty much any response to any graphics related issue on any tech support forum anywhere begins with "do you have the latest drivers?" And since you said you don't and/or don't know, I'd go check it out.

I rarely record automation, and when I do I never do a second pass (usually hand draw automation in) but I have had problems with Logic 7 no longer playing back automation. I've been told its fixed in Logic 8, but in the mean time here is a work around.
Select the region where the automation is (if there is no region, create one using the pencil tool and expand it to cover all automation) and go OPTIONS menu -> TRACK AUTOMATION -> "Move current track data to region data." Now everything should play back as expected. If you want to edit the data, simply select "move current region data to track data" and edit away.
For some reason, Logic 7 will sometimes stop reading track automation data, but I have yet to have it stop reading region automation. This is a bug, and according to other users, has been fixed in Logic 8. Hope this helps until we eventually upgrade

Cover Art Problem [is anyone else having this problem? I need help!]

all right, I just got a new lime 4G 8GB ipod nano for my birthday a few weeks ago. but one thing is driving me crazy: it keeps messing up my covers! First, a select few of my covers all became Avril Lavigne's Let Go. When I would listen to a track from one of those select cds, it would just be black. when i go to cover flow it was fine. Then, after restoring it, it was ok untill i charged it. Then the same covers became just black. on cover flow, in the menu, and when i listened to a track from them. It's driving me crazy! is anyone else having this problem? If so, how can i fix it?

If you added the album art manually, make sure you've added it to every track of the album.
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed, currently 8.0.1.

Aha! I have sorted it.
For those with similar problems, the solution is this:
Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > MIDI Drivers
Then delete DigiDioMidiDriver.plugin

Mine has worked fine. What model do you have, the leather or the other? I've read of others using screen protectors like Zagg absorbing some of the dye. Of course considering the cost they are to produce ($12 is what I read for the leather) it doesn't surprise me some of the dye is coming out. I have wiped my black leather down with high grade leather cleaner / oil and you can clearly see it on the rag.

Hi wondering if anyone can help me, i have an itouch 4 gen and the front cover has started to come away, it hasn't been dropped or anything just started to come away ( although i did notice that it was heating up drastically ) looks to me like the glue has dyed up and as usual the guarantee had not long ran out. I want to use 10 or so stills in a piece and I got the idea that they'd look great if I could have the stills move across the screen as album covers move across the screen in iTunes, or on the iPod & iPhone. Anyone have a formula for making this effect?

I think that should have worked. The art (Picture) showed up in the "Artwork-Add" box, but after clicking OK, it was not in Cover Flow. I tried 2 or 3 different picture file types. They all showed up in the "Add" box, but didn't make it to Coverflow.
I did learn something ... again, getting close, but I'm on the east coast (Of America) and have to go to bed now.
Any additional thoughts will be appreciated by me tomorrow (later today).

Photoshop CS5 lag... anyone else?

After installing Photoshop CS5 extended on my Mac Pro 2.8ghz Quad, I've noticed a 5-10 second lag when opening or creating a new image. Basically what happens, is when creating or opening an image, Photoshop freezes for 5-10 seconds before being able to do anything, click on a tool, menu, etc.
Never had this problem with any previous version of Photoshop.
What is intereting too, is if I run a batch operation on a folder of images with CS5, there is no lag in opening the image, performing whatever task, and completing the batch.
Does anyone else have this problem, and/or have a solution?

Anyone else notice iPhone 5's lens cover is uneven or tilted?

I received my pre-order black iPhone 5 on launch day (9/21/2012). I love it!
However, I noticed that when I pull the iPhone 5 out of my pocket there is often lint sticking out of the lens cover for the iSight on the back.
This morning upon closer inspection, I noticed that the lens cover is slightly tilted downwards.
It is visible to the eye, but it is especially noticeable when you run a finger across it.
I notice that the top of the lens cover is completely flush while the bottom is slightly less than flush. It is tilted inward, below the surrounding glass.
Does anyone else notice this? Is it perhaps just how it is designed?

I went to a Genius Bar appointment and after waiting 45 minutes a genius replaced my iPhone 5. In fact he replaced another one at the same time. He handled both of our cases simultaneously with an iPad away from the Genius Bar.
I'm happy with my replacement. He said it was a brand new phone, not a refurb. However, I inspected the replacement iPhone in store and I found a knick in the beveled edge and a scrape about 1cm long on the side of the iPhone. I decided that I'd rather have a couple of scrapes than a recessed camera lens. Once I got home and had it under better light I found dust under the lens. So overall I'm disappointed but I'm 99% satisfied with my device and its not worth the hassle to get a another replacement. I think there are definite quality control issues with the new iPhone, though.
