Is CS5.5 creative suite compatible with windows 8.1

i have the CS 5.5 creative suite and need to update my pc. i have to decide which operating system to use on my new pc. it comes standard with windows 8.1.
Are there any issues running CS 5.5 creative suite on windows 8.1?

Thanks kglad, does this mean it will work if i install it with windows 7 compatibility, which i am currently running. ( i haven't had to install anything thus far using compatibility modes and am a little in the dark on this)

  • Is CS5 Web Premium compatible with Windows 7 64 bit?

I just placed an order for CS5 Web Premium. I just assumed that if a software states compatible with windows, that is sufficient. I bought a license for Quikbooks books Accounting Software and just read in the very fine print not compatible with 64 bit OS! I am worried if CS5 is also not compatible. Please some one reply before I decide to pay in full for the product in two days time!

    Thank you very much!

    Hello Bob,
I tried to install quickbooks 2009/10 accounting on my pc and an error message 1603 appear something to do with microsoft net. framework. I am awaiting reply from the quickbooks support team.
To my horror checking forums on this issue, I am not the only one with complaints about Quickbooks 2009/10 incompatibility with Win 7 64 bit and apparently poor customer support. I sincerely hope this is not true. I am worried my first investment as a small business owner is already a waste of cash. : (

  • Is the Creative ZEN compatible with Windows XP Pro x64 editi

Hello, I recently bought a Zune and then found out it wasn't compatible with my OS, XP Pro x64. I installed the software on my laptop, but it was just too troublesome to set everything up and exchange music, videos, etc. between the two machines. So I've decided to return the Zune and get a Zen instead. I'd really like to buy the ZEN 8GB, but it does not state whether or not the x64 edition is supported. The ZEN V Plus states that the software does support the OS, so if I have to get that one, I don't mind. Thanks.

CRe: Is the Creative ZEN compatible with Windows XP Pro x64 edition?H I recently bought a Zen 8GB mp3 player. I have an xp x64 pro OS. As soon as I tried to instal the included software from the CD, a dialogue box appeared stating, "The windows operating system running on this computer is not supported by this product." I have done everything the technical assistance group has suggested with the samed result including a clean install. I did load it on my 32 bit laptop. It works fine. ONe of the problems I have found is that the correspondance goes to a different person each time and they are not reading the dialogue. I have found a way to make it work (well somewhat) with my 64 bitg machine. Oddly enough thed software for my zen V load on fine but the software is incampatable with the Zen 8GB unit. I think that there are softwarfe problems and CT is not really dealing with them.

  • Use Adobe Creative Suite CS4 with Windows 8.1 (64 BIT)

    Hello,
could you please help me: I installed CS4 on my PC. But now im looking for a new PC, which I will buy in the next days. Is it possible to use the Creative Suite CS4 with a new PC, which has 64 Bit (Windows 8.1.)? ) Or should I buy a PC with only 32 Bits, as it is recommended in the system requirements. Will it give problems? If yes: Which one?
    Thank you!

64bit versions of Windows support 32bit apps. This point is utterly irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. There will definitely be problems, but not because of CS4 being 32bit. More to the point you should be concerned about driver compatibility and the security stuff in Win 8.1. which is something you'd have to take care of in any version.

  • Mac creative suite users with Windows RDS

I am trying to find a Mac based remote desktop / remote app / terminal service system to share Creative suite.
We have a three site connected network with a central file at our main office. This file store is served through a Virtual Windows file server and all of the windows users connect to the file store and associated applications using Microsoft Remote desktop servers.
Most of the time this works well for the Mac users, however, many of them are Adobe Creative suite users and work most of the time using Mac keyboard shortcuts. This does not translate from the local Mac user into a Windows TS environment and therefore we are investigating a Mac based TS system.
We have looked a at iRapp and been disappointed and Aquaconnect hasn’t come up with the goods
    Two questions
… what experience / advice do you have for a Mac server based remote system
… if that isn’t feasible, what next. Window TS with Windows Creative suite works beautifully, however it is no good for the Mac users as the keyboard shortcuts don’t translate… are there any solutions to this
    Thanks in advance

Is ADOBE® CREATIVE SUITE® 4 DESIGN PREMIUM WIN UE compatible with Windows 8 and 8.1?

Yes/No/perhaps/maybe? You won't know until you try. Windows programs are generally backward compatible, but of course there most definitely will be specific problems like needing to manually adjust user permissions or getting things like printing functions to work.

  • Is adobe creative suite version1 compatible with windows 7

is adobe creative suite version1 compatible with windows 7

Unfortunately, while I imagine it could be made to run on Windows 7, you simply won't be able to activate it on the new system because Adobe has taken the activation servers offline.
For a while Adobe published a version of CS2 with a special no-activation serial number, specifically for folks who have run afoul of the activation server problem, and at first it included users of CS and CS2.  Unfortunately, the language of that page has changed to make it clear that only licensed users of CS2 may take advantage of the download.
You can judge for yourself here:

Yes/ no/ maybe/ whatever. It may work if you know your way around your system and can tweak the respective problem areas, but then again it may not work at all. Either way, the technical aspects are moot because of this:

  • Is Creative Suite Master Collection CS3 compatible with Windows 7?

Hi I was just wondering if Master Collection CS3 was compatible with Windows 7. Has it been tested and was it successful? Or were there problems with it? If so is CS4 compatible or would I have to buy the newest version? I would just like a simple answer if you could give it referring to if I can use it and if there's any problematic occurances that come with putting the two together. Thank you.
    Meepsie18

No, CS3 was never tested on Win 7 and thus is not officially compatible or certified with it. The first version to fit that criteria is indeed CS4. That doesn't mean that CS3 couldn't run at alll on Win 7, though. Many users do, but the specific level of success depends on too many factors, so nobody can give you a definitive answer. If you can afford it, just get CS6/ Creative Cloud.

  • Is suite 4 compatible with windows 8.1 operating system

is suite 4 compatible with windows 8.1 operating system

    Hi Mylenium,
thankx for your reply! My problem is, that I can not test it because I want to buy a new PC which will have Win 8. If the installation fails, it is too late and I would have bought better an old used PC with Win XP.
So are there any other users who had the same Problem? I mean Win 8 is everywhere the same Win 8 and Adobe Creative Suite CS 4 too...
What do you mean by "configuration in Win 8 for compatibility modes, enabling legacy drivers"
Are there specials drivers, Adobe offers? Is it very complicated? I am not a computer expert, just a hobby filmmaker with good knowledge in Adobe Premiere CS4.
    Thanks again for replies!
