We have a running Oracle database 8.0.5 on Sun Microsystem Server (Enterprise 5500). We need to migrate this data into Oracle 10g. Is this possible or advisable to install Oracle 10g Standard Edition on the same server, so parallely users can work on 8.0.5 and we can carry on our development work on 10g and later on completely switch to 10g?

Have you checked to see if your WiFi router needs to have your iPad's MAC address specifically permitted to use WiFi? Some WiFi routers have a section in the settings called "Access List", possibly under "Security".
You can find the MAC address in Settings > General > About > Wi-Fi Address

For no apparent reason the add-on toolbar disappeared. After opening view/toolbars and customize the add-on toolbar immediately appears . However, once I click-on "Done"; the toolbar again disappears. Please advise possible solution.

Despite numerous attempts to utilize your suggested "fix" to the disappearing tool bar problem, the results remained unchanged (i.e. tool bar immediately appears for customization, but immediately disappears upon exiting the tool bar customization screen).
In an effort to determine if transactional sequencing may have any impact on affecting the appearance/disappearance of the add-on tool bar, in addition to attempting to resolve the current challenge through the use of the Firefox safe mode and reset tool bar functionality, I also elected to change the sequence in which I modified the desired "customization(s)", as well as the methodology for exiting the customization screen, Firefox safe mode (e.g. click-on Done, exit through X, exit and renter FF safe mode, with and without closing the customization screen, etc...).
Further in addition to following the documented transactions, I also exited and reentered the Windows 7 O.S., as well as exiting and reentering Firefox safe mode and Firefox.
Unfortunately, despite the myriad of methodologies I attempted, the resultant effect remained the same (i.e. immediate disappearance of add-on tool bar, when clicking-on Done or exiting the screen and/or system).
However, I did notice one anomaly, which heretofore had gone unnoticed due to benefits garnered rather than features lost.
Since the beginning of the this recent disappearing tool bar challenge, the add-ons which I select and locate on the URL address line continue to remain on screen, despite the disappearance of the add-on tool bar and all selected add-on "customizations" reflected in the add-on tool bar, regardless of any/other changes.

Nested detail taskflow w/h back btn support - Is this even possible in ADF?

Problem description:
I have a master-detail page, when you select an item takes you to the details page.
The way this happens is that the detail page task-flow's managed bean reads params from the request url, runs an expensive search (params validation and search performed in constructor) and renders the page for that item. Inside this detail page, I have links to other items and clicking on those links should basically run the search again and render the detail page again for the item selected from previous detail page. Another requirement is to have the browser's back/forward buttons working properly.
I'm currently doing a HTTP redirect to detail task-flow every time to make this work. Does anyone know how to do this with ADF properly? .. same page loaded again and again with browser support?
But I have the problems with this implementation:
Problem 1: If I use a backing bean scope for the task-flow, the constructor gets called for every UI interaction like button click, link click, etc. and the expensive search runs repeatedly (2-3 times).
problem 2: If I use view scope, problem one is gone but the detail links to other items wouldn't work. (HTTP redirection wouldn't work at all).
Can you please advise possible options to make this work along with suggestions to make the flows better?

Why can't you use 2 jspx within the same taskflow - master.jspx and detail.jspx and do the logic inside a method call enroute to the detail.jspx
Something like this in a taskflow -
Master.jspx --> methodCall to set the detail Row --> Detail.jspx
P.S. Using jspx instead of jsff would make back button support in browsers possible.

Possibly there's a firewall in the router. For reasons that I do not understand, that will affect IOS (iPod/iPad) communication but will not affect computers or other devices.
You will need administrative access to the router. If a firewall is present, turn it off and test the iPod again. If it works, turn the firewall back on but weaken it a notch and test the iPod again. Repeat as required.

I had to uninstall iTunes, QT, AND my sound card and reinstall them all. Sound worked fine, but now I can't sync my iPod. Computer recognizes that "something" is hooked up (thinks it might possibly be a camera) and I get that "open with" window. In "my computer" it shows that there is an "iPod" connected, but it is pictured as a camera. In iTunes my username is no longer appearing (although account info is there) and NO devices whatsoever get listed. There is nothing wrong with my USB ports or cable. And of course Apple won't help anyone unless you pay them to. ... I am getting beyond P/Oed!!! You pay hundreds for a product and all you get are headaches with their stupid bug infested software and no support at all.
Can anyone out there help me clean up this unbelievable mess Apple and iTunes has created in my computer?

After three completely wasted days trying to figure all of this out I finally got it fixed - on my own - by reading dozens and dozens of rogue posts in indie forums from people that refuse to dish out money to have a company TRY and advise possible fixes on their own glitches.
(here's a novel idea - fix the glitches Apple. Or - don't send out updates filled with bugs in the first place)
Everything (several applications) had to be uninstalled in a very specific order and then restarted , then it all had to be verified with manual deletions of leftovers, and emptying the recycle bin, then another restart, then iT had to be reinstalled again and the system restarted again, and two more update downloads. Holy!!!
I love my little iPod touch, but I honestly must say, when this kind of thing happens (and it has several times now when I try to deal with iTunes or Apple), it makes me want to flush it down the toilet.

Key flexfield - protecting one of the segment as NON-UPDATABLE/ READ-ONLY

Key Flexfield setup for "People Group Flexfield" consists of seeg1,seg2,seg3,seg4.
We would like to make Seg1 of this flexfield "READ ONLY" / "DISPLAY ONLY" / "Non-Updatable".
Please advise possible way of making this functionality.
I have tried, following but no luck :
1) Limitations of Forms Personalization [ID 420518.1]
Forms Personalization is not possible for any key flexfield structure or segments.
This is a limitation of Forms Personalization on Flexfield. There was an enhancement request Bug 5506506 - "PERSONALIZE FLEXFIELDS BY USING FORMS PERSONALIZATION" but it was rejected the enhancement request as this is not feasible. A Flexfield is a single field in a form but then when you click into it and it opens up the flexfields window, the multiple fields you see is actually a user exit with multi segment values, not form fields. No Form Personalization events are passed to flexfield windows (user exits). No Form Personalization events are passed to segments inside the flexfield window (user exit).
2) Key Flexfield Security Rules Enabled
Defining security rules on any segment in key flexfield makes all segments as read only. Per Oracle Document:"Defining security rule on key flexfield combination on one or more segments allows all segments to be not updatable"

In SSHR, I believe it is possible although I have not done it before, I have spoken to people who have.
You need to have access to jDeveloper and be able to open up the SSHR page in question. Find the internal ID of the flex item within the SSHR page in question.
Then you create a new item in personalization and set that new item to have the same ID as you retrieved from jDeveloper. Make that item read only and configured the 'default' flex to not show the segment in question.
That is basically the way this can be achieved but it is not straightforward and requires a cursory understanding of OAF.
I do not know if it is possible to do this in the PUI. Would be interested to know requirement behind essentially showing a static read only field in a professional form - can the admins not be trusted to leave it alone? One workaround would be coding a user hook or custom library to error if that field is updated. Not read only but would stop those pesky Administrators meddling with it!

Error in Action when CRM Order is updated as Error from R/3 update

Currently we are in CRM 6.0 SP04 and R/3 4.7 SP14
Process:
1) B2B user places order through ISA
2) Order gets replicated R/3 from CRM through middleware (Scenario A setting)
3) If there are any changes in order on either side, changes gets replicated.
Requirement:
We have a requirement from business to trigger workflow in CRM if order is in error. Following are the possible scenarios
1) Error while saving order in CRM
2) No errors in CRM. However, Order will get error in R/3 because of inconsistent configuration or master data between CRM and R/3. The BDOC will be green while replicating to R/3 and acknowledgement to CRM.
3) BDOC status is in error
Solution approach:
We created an action to trigger event when order status set to "Contains error". The condition for Action trigger are Order have error free flag NE X(BUS 2000115 ) OR Status = I1030 OR status = I1056.
Issues:
1) Scenario : Order is successfully create in CRM without any error. Order gets replicated to R/3 u2013 BDOC is green. However, the order gets error status in R/3 because of inconsistent configuration or master data. The acknowledgement BDOC updates the error status in CRM. However, Action does not get trigger when the order is updated as Error from R/3.
Pls advise possible solution and also suggest any other way to achieve the required functionality to generate workflow for CRM order updated as Error from R/3.

Hi Anil,
Try this, implement ORDER_SAVE BAdI. This BAdI is triggered every time an order is saved, you could put in your logic to see if the order has errors, if yes trigger your workflow.
I haven't tested but this should work for your case when the crm order is set to error status after the replication to R/3(the BDOC scenario).
This may not be the most efficient method of doing, but this would definitely work.
Make sure you use proper checks at the beginning of your order_save BAdI implementation as this badi would get executed on save of every 1-order object.

SOAP receiver: error HTTP 302 (Moved Temporarily)

I configured scenario where SOAP web service is consumed from SAP ABAP system via PI. The problem is in communication with the web service: the error observed in communication channels monitor for the configured SOAP receiver channel is:
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 302 Moved Temporarily: java.io.IOException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 302 Moved Temporarily
The consumed web service is based on the function module developed in SAP NetWeaver 7.00 system. Endpoint for the service was then created via SOAMANAGER, generated binding's address was used as a target URL in the SOAP receiver channel.
If the service is consumed not via PI, but tested directly from external SOAP client (I used soapUI) with the same WSDL and endpoint, the response is fine and error-free.
Please advise possible root cause of the issue.

I am working on a similar scenario where I my consuming an external web service using https protocol from PI.
I have configured a soap receiver channel to call the target url of this web service as https://portal.xyz.org.uk/webservice_alt.
I am getting an error HTTP 302 suggesting that PI is not able to follow the re-direction to the target URL as the service resides not on that URL but on https://portal1.xyz.org.uk/webservice_alt or https://portal2.xyz.org.uk/webservice_alt.
This is their server fail over handling mechanism which is very common. But PI 7.0 is not able to handle this.
So if I change the target URL on the SOAP receiver channel to https://portal1.xyz.org.uk/web service or https://portal2.xyz.org.uk/webservice_alt , PI works fine without errors . But this is not the right approach because, every time the web service provider takes one of these systems down for upgrade/patching etc, they inform us and then I manually go and change the target URL to the available server on my production PI system config.
My problem is I want to resolve this redirection error in PI. I have tried raising a call with SAP itself and they pointed out to use Axis adapter which is still not working.
So I am here asking for help. any suggestions please from the experts?

Multiple SSL Certs in one SSL Proxy/VIP

I have a requirement to be able to provide SSL for two different sites that will resolve to the same VIP. Ive created alot of SSL sites before and these work a treat with HTTP to HTTPS redirection.
However Im not sure how are take two different SSL certs, and bind them to the same SSL Proxy, inorder for me to add them to the same VIP. The customer wants to use only port 443. I had thought about using a secondary port something like 8443, and adding another class under the multi-match policy.
Is this possible at all? I use a standard L4 class-map in the multi-match policy, that then nests down into L7 class-maps, for URL load balancing.
Because this is a multi-match policy can I just create another L4 Policy, which in turn nests down to a different L7 class-map, allowing me to match the second URL. And thus because I have another L4 policy I can assign a new SSL Proxy?

Thanks for the reply, thats what i was thinking. we use wild card certificates for several of the other domains, how we need to provide certificates for www.website.com and ww2.website.com due to cost.
Is it possible to replace the L4 policy map, with a straight L7 so that we are load balancing directly on URL as apposed to verifying L4 matches first? Or would this not be advisable / possible. I always thought it was the L4 policy that made the VIP proxy?
Can SAN certs not be used in this example?

NativeDragManager and canceling a dnd operation

I'm developing an HTML/JavaScript based AIR 2.0.3 desktop application where I want to make use of the File Promises APIs. Here's what my code looks like:

So, I can pop a few urls into the clipboard and have them download to the local file system when the user drags an few files out of my AIR application.
Here's what I'd like to be able to do though:
While the user is dragging the files out of my AIR application, I'd like to be able to cancel the dnd operation to prevent them from dropping them based on certain criteria. Is there any way to do this? I tried invoking the air.NativeDragManager.dragInitiator.stopDrag method, but no luck there. I tried dispatching a NATIVE_DRAG_COMPLETE event to try to trick the NativeDragManager into thinking that the drag operation had stopped, but no luck there either.
Anyone any ideas on this

Also - is anyone aware of a way to customize the little sprite that appears beside the user's cursor when they start a native drag and drop operation? I'd like to be able to display a thumbnail of the file the user is dragging out of my AIR application beside their cursor instead of the default 'jpeg' avatar/sprite during a drag and drop.

since it gives all material available message, it might have commit the qty at component overview,
then check the committed qty, from where it is comming.

How to stop losing downloads

Every time I sync, I lose the music files I downloaded to my iPhone directly over WiFi. Everything gets over-written.
Is there a parameter to set so I don't lose money???

You might wish to Disable auto sync. So when you connect to your PC/Mac go to File - Transfer purchases. This will copy them into your iTunes.
From where I would advise possible reboot of the iPhone, Using another USB Port to Sync or restore iPhone.
And then see if normal Syncing resumes. And you might also want to Authorize you're PC/Mac if you have not done so already.

Compressor update,ok w. Tiger?

I can't find any info on the pro apps update for compressor to 3.0.4 saying if it's advisable if your are using Tiger (not Leopard). It just says that the update and update to Leopard combined fix some problems, but doesn't say if it would help if you are staying with 10.4.11 (Tiger)
Compressor has been getting so quirky and problematic, I thought I'd try the update.
fcp 6, studio2, compressor 3.0.3, PowerMac G5 dual proc. 2.3, 3.5GB ram.

A word of caution, however:
Some have been having problems with Compressor since the 2008-003 ProApps Update. I would advise possibly leaving that one update and waiting for the next. We're not sure if it's a bug in the update.
