Is it possible in Aperture 3 to sort by camera serial number..?

Ok so I've bought a second 5Dmk2 for my Wedding photography, now the time sync is out by 1 hour on each camera, summer time and none summer time..
I know how to change this in the meta data, but my problem has a bit more to it, the file numbers also over lap, i.e i have two versions of img_8990 from both cameras, and meany of these...
So all the pic's are out of order, and the numbers are quite jumbled up too
What I would like to do, is sort by camera serial number, change the time on one set of images, then arrange by time, the rename the files...
So the question is, can/how do you arrange by camera serial number..?

Hello,
So the question is, can/how do you arrange by camera serial number..?
You cannot sort by serial number, but you can separate your images by serial number:
I suggest to create a smart album for each camera:
File -> New -> Smart Album
Then add a rule: Serial number contains
Do this for each of your cameras, and then use "Metadata -> Batch Change -> Adjust Time Zone" for each of the separate smart albums for each of your cameras.
Good Luck

  • Sorting by camera serial number?

    Hello,
I can see how to search photos by the various cameras I've used over the years. (Metadata>customfilter>CameraInfo)  I can also see the serial numbers of the cameras in the image info.  In the past several years, I've been shooting with three different D300 bodies. Is there a way to sort or search by the serial numbers of the three different cameras?
    Thanks in advance,
    M. Jackson

    Yes, this way:

  • Is it possible to find all the documents for a serial number ?

    Hi all,
I'm using materials with serial numbers in complaints.
Is it possible to find all the documents for this serial number ?
Is it possible to check if this serial number is allready in use in any document ?

    Hi Mengelkemier,
I think you're posting in the wrong forum.  This forum is intended to be used to discuss virtualizing Exchange Server on the the vSphere platform.  The question you're asking seems to be a mobile device specific question.
You would probably get better visibility posting on a forum dedicated to your particular device.  And for what it's worth, some devices will let you sync all of your email and others will only let you sync a certain amount.  It's dependent on the device you're using.
Good luck in finding your answer.

  • Aperture running in Mountain Lion. Now when I start Aperture it asks me for a Serial Number . Where can I find this as it was a download and I have no packaging?

I recently purchased Aperture from App store and this was running fine until I upgraded to Mountain Lion. Now when I start Aperture it asks me for a Serial Number . Where can I find this as it was a download and I have no packaging?

I also have this problem! Mine is also not from the App Store. I had purchased Aperture 1, then upgrades for both version 2 and version 3. It's annoying as it is, but I also have to enter my previous serial number as well since it was an upgrade.
Following this thread in the hopes that someone will have a solution.

  • Aperture is asking me for a serial number when I log on. I do have one because I got it off the app store. Anyone know anything about this or had this problem?

This problem has been getting at me for a while, I purchased Aperture 3 off the app store about a year ago without trouble, it was fine even when I had lion but after a few mserials deter that it stopped working and asked me for a serial number. It is also gone from my purchase history. I am not going mad and have forgotten hat I bought it in a box because I have written a review on the AppStore which you can only do if you have bought It there.

If you bought this in the App Store and now the App Store is not showing it in your purchased history and you are using the same Apple Id to log in you have a big problem.
I would contact the App Store right away and try to get this straightened out.  There is no way to correct this as you do not have a serial number to enter and no way of getting one.
The only other possibility would be if you somehow have two copies of Aperture on your machine, did you ever load the trial version? You could search your HD to see if you have two copies of the application and if you do try running each to see what happens.
But even if this turns out to be the case it wouldn't explain the App Store not having it in your history ad that still is a major problem.

  • Aperture 2 Does not Accept my Serial Number After a Repair Install of OS

I had to do a repair re-install of Leopard, followed by download and installation of software updates needed. This was completed successfully, with no problems. The first time I try to log onto Aperture 2 following this re-install I am asked to provide the product serial number, which I do. The S/N is coming from the packaging supplied with Aperture 1.5 Retail Version. I have since upgraded to Aperture 2.1, but there is no serial number with this package. I have entered this S/N every possible way. Can someone please tell me what Aperture is expecting in this field in this circumstance? I have had no problems with Aperture at all until I attempted to log on today.
Thanks for any help provided. This has been very frustrating!!

    Welcome to the forum.

Yes there is, you must have entered it to get your Aperture 2 upgrade working in the first place. If bought by download it should be in an email somewhere, or possibly also by logging into your Apple ID in the store. If you bought the box it'll be on a sticker somewhere in the box.
Unless you were still using the trial version of Aperture 2, you have already typed this number in at some stage...

  • Aperture upgrade won't open with serial number

I have a retail license for aperture version 2.1 with the serial numbers on the jacket for the cd. Several times after upgrades the new version will ask for my name and serial number. The latest upgrade to 3.4.5 tells me that my serial number is invalid. Any suggestions?

Thank you so much for your reply but I want to apologize for wasting your time with this question. I was making a "rookie" mistake by using my cd jacket information from version 2.1. After reading your reply I looked further into my cd's and found the version 3.0 cd with the info I needed on the jacket. The correct serial number works fine with the upgrade.

  • Is it possible to locate my stolen iPhone with the Serial Number?

2 days ago I lost my iPhone 3GS- 16GB in school. I have the serial number. So would it be possible to locate the person if he/she registers on Itunes with my iphone?

I am trying to return a lost verizon iphone- I found it in a cab on 2/2/2012 in NYC. I called verizon, but they didn't care. Before I turn it into the abyss known as the NYC lost and found (I looked up how it works, doesnt seem very good) I am trying to locate the person by posting on craigslist, itaxinyc and here. Shockingly, people have responded, but none of them have been the right person. If you think you are this person send an email to lost- iphone-nyc   at    hotmail so I can give you my contact info Please describe the picture on the screen and the case in detail or I will not respond to you.

  • Is it possible to search an ipod touch with its serial number?

I recently lost my ipod touch and im so lost without it! Its a fourth generation and i wanted to know if it was possible to track it only by its serial number.. nothing else. My friend said she downloaded an app other than the one everyone talks about and said she found a general location for it but i dont know if she is lying for really telling the truth so the question is, is this really possible?

    No.
Change your iTunes password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod.  If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number).  If any passwords are associated with your bank or any savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.

  • Aperture 3 keeps making me enter serial number

This is getting to be a frustrating glitch. On a fairly regular basis, regular enough that I now have my serial number of a post-it, Aperture prompts me to enter my name and serial number when launched. Having done so it then promptly hangs, I have to force quit then relaunch and all is fine until the next time.
Have tried all the usual trashing of preferences, the Aperture System ID file etc. and have all the updates for Aperture and Mac OS but this irritating problem persists. Anyone had a similar issue and found a solution?

    Hi Adam,
I've searched my Mac for "ProAppsSystemID" and the search returns no items. Would you know how to locate it? Also, where is "/temp"?
Every time we fire it up, it asks for the latest serial number... and then for the previous "upgrade" serial numbers

  • Is it possible to track a stolen ipods usage via serial number

Is it possible to track a stolen ipods usage via serial number

No. The SN will only help identify the iPod as yours if it is recovered
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

  • Aperture 3 bought from AppStore wanting serial number

Just downloaded the update via AppStore and now its asking me to enter user information inc. serial number. I bought it from the AppStore so I dont have a serial number. Anyone else having this problem?

funny 3.4.2 no longer shows up in App Store updates
Did you rename the Aperture application or move it from the Applications folder?
The App Store is a bit problematic right now. Just wait a few hours. There has been too much traffic recently with so many applications available for update at the same time.

  • Aperture system ID - recovering the old serial number

    hi
apologies if this was asked again but several searches later im still confused.com
i recently had my old MBP stolen - however before this happened, i backed the whole drive to an external disk
i cant find my aperture installation cd, so i downloaded a Trial Version of Aperture and used a trial serial number
i then decided to use what some people here suggested and copy my OLD aperture system ID file to my new library/application support/proapps folder (and delete the trial version of the file with the trial serial number)
however, aperture wont recognise my old serial number
any thoughts on what i should do
is there a way to read the old serial number from the aperture system id file? its all messy
    thnx
